Title: best low priced knife set
Review: pretty sharp out of box. not bad. I sharpened with 220 AL carbide sand paper about 5 degree angle, followed by ceramic rod knife sharpeners coarse. the correct hold of the blade with your hand is slightly uncomfortable. they work well for the price. after sharpening they cut potatoes like butter.

Title: So far they work well and are pretty sharp.
Review: Not as sharp as I hoped but they are pretty sharp. I think theyâre attractive and they work. Make sure you wash and dry right away to keep them nice. One complaint, the box came damaged which made me sad because itâs a nice box and I wanted to keep them stored in it to help keep them nice. Oh well.

Title: REALLY GOOD KNIVES
Review: Very good knives, far better than I expected, especially when considering the other reviews of this knife set. They are very sharp, so be careful! They are comfortably to hold. They do the job very well.

Title: Not what I an used to with these knives
Review: Kakuse Koumei Nakamua Japanese Knife Set of 5. I don't have a ton of money to buy knives and have always had pretty good luck when purchasing these knives. I was happy to be getting mine.I ended up being disappointed, however, when I tried to use several of the knives. They wouldn't cut. It was as if they had never even been sharpened. I attempted using my steel and then sharpening as I would a dull knife, but normally do. Unfortunately I am going to have to take them to a professional just to be able to get them to where they will cut cake or a tomato.

Title: Very sharp knives at a good price
Review: Would give them six stars if they came with a "wrap" to store them.

Title: I didnât expect much
Review: But what I got exceeded my expectations, I am a bladesmith and I got these to take apart and use them for patterns to start making Asian style knives and when I took them out they are razor sharp so I decided to use them and keep them functional, they arenât $300 customs but they are DEFINITELY worth the money, I canât even get the raw materials to make a set like this for that cheap these are definitely the best quality cheap knives Iâve ever purchased, I recommend these to anyone! Great value!

Title: Good knives for price.
Review: For the price I paid can't beat. I am a professional so I'm used to a little higher quality. The handle shape is hard to use a professional grip and may slip a bit. This would be a great set for a beginner or home use. Also some are single edge bevel. Which doesn't need to be explained here. But I was unaware until I looked at them. Great knifes though love the look, very light weight and balanced. Easy to clean.
