Title: Fantastic, no exploding, no smell.
Review: I wanted to write a quick review to address some questions I had before I bought this. Unlike most reviewers, I guess, I wasnât driving Jeeps on the western front in the 40s, so I have never had the chance to see this type of container in use.1. If you have a newer car with the no gas-cap type of port, the filler this comes with will fit in absolutely perfectly, and it will WORK perfectly. If youâre not planning on filling a car with gas, forget it â you need to buy one of the other nozzles that are compatible with this. Iâm only using it for my vehicle so I donât have any suggestions for you.2. Letâs say you want to keep it in your car. Will fumes escape from it and make your life miserable? Absolutely not. This can is 100% absolutely air/gas/fume-tight. The closure is extremely robust and there is a thick rubber gasket. I have driven around with this in my car (an SUV so the trunk is in the cabin) for weeks, with it full and lying on its side, and never has a drop of gasoline escaped or so much as a whiff of fumes. They sell replacement gaskets, so I assume this is a part that may wear out one day, so at worst be on the lookout for that.3. Well if itâs so dang sealed, whatâs going to happen when you leave it in the sun or in your hot car? Might it explode? Probably not. Mineâs in south Texas and I park outside at work and home. Interior of vehicle gets up to 140 degrees or so. The construction of the walls of this container seem to allow for non-destructive expansion. Donât open it when itâs hot, because the gas will âgeyserâ, but your can should not explode. So this thing is great! You can keep it in your car and it wonât smell or explode, or keep it in an air-conditioned space so you can actually open it, and it wonât smell up the space. Also since itâs air-tight, gas kept in here will last longer than those off-gassing cheap ones at the gas station. Line your house walls with hundreds of these so youâll have fuel for the zombie apocalypse.Oh, one downside. Putting 5 gallons of fuel into the tank of your car seems to take about 7-10 minutes. It pours slowly, so you do have to hold an initially 40 lb container for a while. Most of the weight is taken up by the fuel port on your car, (thatâs how the included spout opens) but still, not something youâre going to like doing on a hot summer day.

Title: they are tough
Review: love it, they are tough and durable, and arent made of the cheaper steels I've heard of the knock offs are made from. they cost more, but oh boy, do I feel secure that they'll be kept and stored very well, in fact I filled one a little too much, and the seal was such a good hermetic seal, that when I went to open them during the summer I go sprayed a bit with the gas because of the mild pressure build up, and because I filled it just a little bit above the designated fill line. there's a reason they put those little details on them, to avoid silly mistakes like the one I made. all the same, very pleased in general with their service, but be careful they seem to slowly leak gas (VERY SLOWLY) if kept on their side (I left one in the trunk of the toyota, and it fell over and I didnt think anything of it until after winter, when I found out that it was empty, and left a gas smell in the trunk, and it kinda stunk up the car for a few months after wards until the smell was finally gone) but other than that they keep the gas very well, quite a hermetic seal if stored upright.

Title: Super duper fuel can, not so much on the spout if you have Ford EasyFuel
Review: The can is great and feels solid, I think I can trust it for spare fuel storage for traveling. The spout, however, has a safety valve, and it doesn't work for my Ford EasyFuel Ranger.I tried several things. First I tried it directly, but the spout tip fits tightly and when you push to open the valve, the fuel comes out through the slots and spills back into the over flow drain and onto the floor. Next, I removed the valve so that there is a hole to the end of the spout. But even though that helped, there is too much flow still coming out of the slots and it over flows. Lastly, I used the Ford emergency filler (white plastic spout in picture). This sorta worked, I could push the valve open against it and it would flow into the filler, but I had to go slow and it's complicated. I don't want complicated when pouring fuel.I sprung for the flexible Valpro NATO Long-Nose Flexible Jerry Can Spout/Nozzle because it is straight-through, has a smaller diameter tip, and the tip is long enough to open the EasyFuel door. This worked like a charm and drained the can very quickly! The two together (Wavian can and Valpro spout) are a bit pricey, but are a solid set up. Besides, when do you get the opportunity to buy something from Latvia?

Title: Wavian NATO Jerry Cans
Review: I purchased two gas cans. Theyâre missed quality and seal tightly enough that there is no venting of gasoline fumes. The cans are metal and very well constructed. Iâll be getting more. Perfect for carrying extra gas on off-road adventures.

Title: Looks tough
Review: I had another plastic gas can fail, and I never liked plastic, stored in shed they swell and shrink, and finally fail. At the start of my gas can journey I bought two oriental cans. The seam welds stuck out so they did not stand flat, I returned them. I bought 2 blue Wavian cans because they were $20 cheaper than red on a particular day. I knew blue was code for kerosene. My sort of plan was to paint them red, $100 was way over what I felt like paying. I later found red ones for $80 and bought 4! I had thought that cans were identical except paint color but.... The red ones (meant for gasoline) have a flame suppressor in the filler neck, looks like a filter. These are heavy steel, 9.9 pounds. Watch some videos, read reviews, they tell it all. Some call the stamped numbers on the handle the "serial number" it is really a "part number", same number is on different cans. One of the reviews that said "cry now or cry later" regarding price put me over the top to buy the cans.

Review: I ordered 2 of these Wavian jerry cans for gasoline fuel storage. They arrived quickly and in perfect new condition. The fuel spouts were zip tied to each jerry can. i like that these are spring loaded fuel spouts which will allow for more controlled filling of fuel tanks. These are very well made and i like the rubber sealed closure which uses a cam over style closure and a safety pin. Am hoping to get a few more in the future

Review: This is easily the best can that I have owned. The can was shipped from the US and arrived without any damage. After removing it from the plastic wrapper and releasing the zip tie from the nozzle, all of the parts fit well together without any issues. An inspection of the coating that lines the inside show that it is evenly distributed.Even after my research and knowing that it would be a sturdy can, I was surprised by the weight of it. I donât think it will be a problem to use because of non-spill nozzle. But with full of fuel, youâll need some upper body strength.Overall, I am extremely happy with the can and recommend it to would be buyers.

Review: The seal on the nozzle leaks fuel everywhere. I've tried 2 of these, both are brutal. Save the money and buy the standard red plastic jug.
