When 11 year old Evan vanishes without trace, his parents are plunged into their worst nightmare.
Especially as the police, under massive pressure, have no answers. But months later Evan is unexpectedly found, frightened and refusing to speak. His loving family realise life will never be the same again.

DI Naylor knows that unless those who took Evan are caught, other children are in danger. And with Evan silent, she must race against time to find those responsible...

Title: Heartfelt
Review: What a beautiful book! It’s not my usual genre as I am more of a murder mystery person but this book had everything. The characters were rich, the main character really was so well written, the plot was current and the ending was realistic and left me smiling. I think I’ll look at some of the other books written by this author.

Title: An emotional read rather than a thriller
Review: The story was well written but VERY British. I feel like I got the meaning of half of the British references by context rather than the words themselves. This may have disrupted my reading somewhat. I also find it difficult to follow when the characters are referred to by their first names at times, and their last name at other times. I have to do a mental recalibration to keep everyone straight. And it was hardly a thriller, I didn't care much about catching the bad guys as I did about Evan, his recovery and his family. The relationships between the police made me feel like this was part of a series, and I was supposed to know about their backstories, but didn't. The story picked up steam despite the above mentioned shortcomings, and it is a solid 3 star satisfactory read in my opinion, perhaps 4 star if I didn't have to mentally sift through all the British-isms.

Title: perspective
Review: This novel added an element of perspective that is often missing in novels of crimes, that of the struggle of the victims and their families in recovery of the heart and soul. Well written and a good read
