Title: Good read!
Review: Interesting story all around with ir pts twists and turns. Beluevable and mostly nice characters. Poor Justin. Nor exactly a strong bloke. The moms and dads reacted just like parents would.

Title: Different terminology and spelling ............
Review: This was a good story and written pretty good. However, it was written by a British author and they use different terminology and spelling. I hate that and it is so irritating. I hate to see words spelled wrong and sometimes I didn't know for sure what was being talked about. Oh well, my mistake. I should have taken closer look at the author. In the future, I will be careful not to read any more of her books. I will stick with authors from the US.. Love the people from that area but not the way they write.

Title: Loved this book!
Review: I knew nothing about the book or the author. When I picked it up. I was transfixed. Great characters, plot line that you never knew what would happen in lots of twists. New beginnings and endings all at the same time. It is a definite must read. So glad that I found it. I will recommend it to others.

Title: kept my interest
Review: This book kept my interest and I finished it. But it wasn’t something that I’m going to remember, like I do for books I love. I’d recommend it for people like me who always need to have a novel in their hand, but doesn’t have to be a mind blowing experience.

Review: Your daughter isn't answering your calls and shes not replying to your messages. A desperate mother rushes to her house to find her slumped in the basement, dying .She whispers a one word: 'pushed'.It must be someone you know...This is a a gripping thriller but also a a wonderfully family drama, It develops slowly in order to allow the reader to build a relationship with the characters, as the plot thickens we are drawn into their lives. There are many twists and turns to the story and we are left wondering to the very end . All in all beautifully written, evocative and gripping. No wonder it was Times crime book of the month. Review: 3.5 stars rounded down. This author is pretty reliable, you know you are going to get more of a domestic drama than a thriller and as long as you know that at the outset you won’t be too disappointed. I’ve read some of the author’s other books but felt this was a bit lacklustre, it was a very slow burn, with not much happening and no major twists, just a slow plod to the finish. I felt there were some big plot holes which is always annoying - the debilitating disease which is mentioned a lot at the beginning then just seems to - poooof - vanish and isn’t referred to again with the character showing little or not side effects from what had previously been described as severe and life limiting. I think the book was trying to explore guilt, consequences and the idea of when is it OK to not tell the truth, those themes are difficult to unpack when the book has been billed as a thriller, you go into it expecting a thriller and wanting more, well thrills. In summary, not awful, not brilliant, readable and for 99p OK. I think I’ll not rush to read any more EK though as I think there are better domestic drama authors to read first.
