Title: EXCELLENT replacement for my KitchenAid stand mixer!
Review: I got a KitchenAid stand mixer as a present several decades ago. I used it frequently, and was really disappointed when it decided to dump a bunch of oil into what looked like a delicious banana bread I was mixing up - and then completely stopped working.I got sticker shock when I went to replace the KitchenAid with another KitchenAid! I loved that mixer, but I love my hard earned money more!I stumbled on this Cuisinart stand mixer on Amazon, while it was on sale, and decided to take a chance. It is a little lighter than the KitchenAid (but I'm not as strong as I used to be - so that's a PLUS). But it functions just as well. I think the head tilts back a little bit further, and I like the clear plastic top that stops ingredients from flinging all over the counter. It took some getting used to, to finally figure out how to install that top and remove that top, but once you figure it out, it's really easy.I even purchased some of the attachments - veggie spiralizer and pasta maker - that I never had for my KitchenAid - and wouldn't have been able to afford if I had bought a new KitchenAid! The attachments connect really easily - and I was shocked that the spiralizer powered through a raw sweet potato without much effort! If you're looking for a great stand mixer, at a much more reasonable price - look no further than the Cuisinart 5.5 Quart Stand Mixer!

Title: Low noise | Strong motor base | Easy cleaning
Review: Strong built: 5 starsEase of usage: 5 starsTilt head: 4 stars because I had to fix the height of the head.Noise: extremely lowUnlike every review cited here, I'd like to express my satisfaction with this stand mixer stating the low noise feature.Since the corona outbreak, people/families are forced to stay at home most of the time, so this stand mixer can be operated without having to bother other people during meetings or online classes. I have been doing so without any issue which is worth mentioning. The prime reason why I wanted to mention it at first is that I have watched several videos of stand mixers & noise is one of the major problems. So 5 stars for less noise.I am not very technical however I believe the heavy-duty motor 550 watt is whatdoes the magic here.Usually, if you search for a stand mixer you'd find many of them with a less powerful motor however if you are planning to buy it for everyday baking mixing projects, don't fall for anything less than 400 watts. It's not worth the investment.A splatter guard is another added accessory that was included in this stand mixer which, after a lot of research showed that not all other named brands provide one. You may have to buy it separately.A splatter guard does help to restrict the messes to a greater extent & I am thankful I didn't have to spend any more extra bucks to get one!Pro tip: keep your mixer over a Nonslippery mat, for easy maneuvering, Moving the heavy stand mixer becomes trouble-free that way.As a home baker, I always used my bare-hands for the preparation of the baked goods like bread dough, cookies, chapati/roti dough even though I'm into baking for the past 4 years. I now realize the comforts of using a stand mixer, don't know why I never thought of investing into one.The mixing bowl (5.5 quart) is of a great size, I utilize it to store the attachments lined with a towel.Moral of the story: This gadget, worth spending money on, has made my work effortlessly quick. Hope this helps!

Title: Take a serious look at this fine mixer before you buy.
Review: I've burst into song over this mixer as this is the mixer for me.Oh, this is the mixer for me,and you ask, "How can it be?""For there is another,Whose name's more familiar"But this one's the best, don't you see.Oh yes, I did try the more familiar-named mixer because my sister and several friends each had two of this brand's mixers. But after whipping evaporated milk twice for an ice-cream recipe, it started clicking on low speed and the higher I turned up the speed, the louder and more unbearable the clicking/knocking noise got. After returning it, I have been searching for a mixer that I could use to mix evaporated milk, make chocolate chip cookie dough, and bread dough. Frustrated, I read reviews and details on almost every mixer on Amazon and could not find one with all the features that I enjoyed on the first mixer and I did not want to spend over $400. My Cuisinart SM-50 was delivered today and I immediately cleaned it for use. I first made 2 loaves of English muffin bread, then a single batch of chocolate chip cookies. While the mixer was mixing bread, my husband walked by and asked, "Is it running?", he was just kidding as he could see it was running, but that was his way of saying it was not loud like "my other" mixer. I'm not sure if all Cuisinart mixers are this quiet, but mine purrs and does not remind me of a steam engine locomotive. So let me review the pros and con:PROS: The mixer was packed well and came in perfect condition.Cuisinart's mixers are very streamline and shorter than my last mixer of comparable watts, bowl size, and features. It is made of metal and of good quality.Found it very easy to use after reading the instructions before setting up.This mixer has a 3-year warranty compared to 1-year on the previous mixer. The attachments that I hurriedly bought for the "other mixer" fit my Cuisinart perfectly--what a nice surprise.Speaking of attachments, I like that the port on the Cuisinart is hidden from view with a chrome front plate when not in use. Also, the cover I bought fits this new mixer just fine-was dreading returning cover, attachments, etc.Did I mention that the Cuisinart SM-50 was 1/3rd the cost of the previous mixer?CON: Yes, only 1 con. This was reviewed by another customer so not original, but significant enough to mention and ask Cuisinart to change this feature of their SM-50 or some company that makes beaters to fit all these different mixers produce flex-edge beaters along with the 3 beaters that are included with the mixer to fit correctly and do the job they were meant to do--get to the bottom of things. Literally, get to the bottom and sides of the bowl so that all the ingredients get mixed in without having to stop and scrape down the sides and incorporate the ingredients. The mixer is supposed to do that and if I were a quality assurance manager for Cuisinart, I would immediately introduce those upgraded beaters or have a company manufacture them so that Cuisinart does not lose customers. The "other mixer' came with a flex-edge paddle and glad it did because the flat paddle did no better than the flat paddle from Cuisinart. If a customer has arthritis as I do, it is very desirable to have the beater scrape down the sides and not suffer pain each time one has to scrape the dough/batter together for thorough mixing. Please bring this to Cuisinart's attention and I see no reason why Cuisinart couldn't become the best selling stand mixer available and replace that "other one". I would be happy to give 5 stars as soon as I have better incorporating beaters that reach all the ingredients, especially the flex-edge beater.

Review: After using a hand mixer for 40 years, I needed something to do the mixing for me. I was a bit intimidated because I had never used anything like this before. It was super easy to learn and the first recipe turned out just great. I am leaving it on the counter and can see myself using it a lot. It is sturdy, easy to clean and looks nice. The attachments are easy to change and it has worked very nicely. Very happy with purchase.
