The IReTV USB IR Receiver is designed and built to work with Fire TV (Does not work with Gen 1 older Stick) (Stick, Cube & Pendant require our USB Y Cable), Nvidia Shield-2nd Generation Standard & 2019 Pro (1st Gen and older Pro versions do not require an add-on IR receiver), (2019 Standard is not compatible), Media Center and MCE related apps as well as Kodi on a PC and Kodi on Raspberry Pi. This IR Receiver works only with Inteset INT422 & Harmony remotes (Remote NOT included)
To install the IReTV IR Receiver using the INT422 remote, just plug the USB connector into the port on the device you want to control and enter the Device Code for that device in one of the available Device Code buttons (A, B, C, D) at the top of the remote. You can then use the other device buttons for your TV, Cable box etc. We have provided a Key Map for these devices above or you can view the map on our web site. The INT422 Device Codes are: 02049 (Fire TV), 01272 (Media Center), 02000 & 01272 (Kodi on a PC & Kodi on Raspberry Pi) and 04918 (Nvidia Shield). The set-up process and the Key Mapping for the Logitech Harmony Remote is available at our web site. Currently, only Fire TV and Nvidia Shield (2nd Gen) are controllable using the Harmony remote with the IReTV Receiver.
Contact us for a Set-up diagrams or go to our Forum for more information. You can get the device codes for all other devices that can be controlled by the INT422 at our web site. If you have any questions please contact us at: universalremotes.net.
Control your Streamers lacking an IR receiver with the Inteset INT422 or the Harmony universal remotes.
Supports Fire TV requires a "Y" Cable (except Gen 1 Stick), Nvidia Shield (2nd Gen & 2019 Pro), Media Center, Kodi and Raspberry Pi. "Y" Cable sold separately
The INT422 will also work with nearly all TV's, Streamers and other devices that do not require an add-on IR Receiver
No Drivers are needed. Plug and Play to any 2 amp USB port in the device you want to control
Blue LED flashes when a signal is received. LED can be turned on/off on Fire TV & Nvidia Shield. Cable is 3 feet long.

Title: Works great on my Nvidia Shield Pros
Review: I bought two of these for my Nvidia Shield Pros (2017 and 2019 versions) and they work great with the Interset universal remote. There's a tiny bit of a lag, but it's not terrible. Overall, I'm happy with it.

Title: Works Great
Review: I bought this because i wanted to control my Nvidea Shield and Roku Express 4K + with a universal IR remote that also controls my other devices, seeing this huge instruction booklet with a lot of writing about all kinds of functions scared me a little, however it's really easy to program it, for my Nvidea Shield press D hold set until it blinks - release - enter 04918 DONE! Works like a charm 🙂

Title: Worked on Shield Pro
Review: When using this on a Harmony 650 and a Shield Pro make sure you choose the correct device. NVIDIA SHIELD TVDo not choose the one with "pro" in the name. That device profile will not work.

Title: Works well after difficult set up / use this tip
Review: Had trouble with orignal set up. Would not work as xbox 360 and set up as custom activity. This is what worked for me on a Harmony one+ and Harmony 650. I used Microsoft 650 super elite as the device choise. This is the clincher / chose add an activity / then choose play a game / rename it and finish setup. Now it controls the fire stick as an xbox. You may need to cusomize some of the buttons to work for your preferences. Works well after figuring our the set up.

Title: High expectations - high disappointment
Review: I really wanted this product to permit my Harmony remote to control my Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Unfortunately, it does not work at all. There is virtually no tech support, simply questions and answers on the Inteset web page. Most of the questions involved the same problem as mine which only reinforced my opinion that it does not work in all cases. I programmed my Harmony as an XBOX 360 controller as suggested on the website (there are no instructions) and all it did was make the blue light go on (IR is being received) and hang. Back it goes.

Title: Kinda works somewhat
Review: I bought this to enable a Firestick to support an IR remote. The first setup I got did not work at all. I bought another Y cable and it works somewhat. The challenge is the solution is slow to the point of being largely useless. So this is essentially a fail. I'll play with it some more, but I'm very disappointed. The support for Inteset is non-existent. Buy all this and you are on your own.

Title: Poor reception, bad construction quality. Only works consistently with a repeater.
Review: I use this for a fire TV cube with the Inteset Universal remote. It works pretty well now, but the quality is not great. I had it stuck directly to the side of the cube about 15 feet from where I sit and, pointing the remote directly at it after trying every possible orientation, it'd work about 80% of the time, drop to about 50% if you're aiming in the general direction. Also, the cover will come off whenever you try to remove it (which I had to do many times to try different positions) because it's barely attached and much weaker than the adhesive.I ended up getting a USB infrared repeater and moving this IR receiver to be stuck to my AV receiver next to the repeater's transmitter and now it works 99% of the time at up to 50 feet. Considering the repeater was about the same price as this receiver, I am disappointed in the quality difference. I already needed the repeater for my receiver though, which mitigates the issue, which is the only reason this is 3 stars. Without that, this would be 2.

Review: I purchased this because the 2017 second generation Nvidia Shield that I own does not have a built-in IR receiver and I wanted to use my Harmony 650 to control it. Thankfully, this add-on USB IR receiver does about 90% of what I wanted. The Power On/Off/Toggle doesn't do anything and not all of the buttons work the way the button mapping diagram in the listing says that they should; i.e. the back/exit button is actually Red, etc.. Nonetheless, once I figured out the actual commands some buttons were sending, it was an easy thing to remap them in the Harmony software when programming the remote. So far, I deem it a success and now I can control it with my Harmony using IR instead of the Shield Bluetooth remote. One Caveat, the included remote includes a microphone and the Harmony, obviously, does not, so calling up the Goggle Assistant is not much use. That is not the fault of the IR receiver, just something to be aware of.EDIT: When setting this up initially, I followed the online instructions and set it up as an X-Box 360 in the Harmony software. As I wrote above, this gave me large part of the functionality controlling the Nvidia Shield, but there were still many instances where I had to use the original remote to get it to do what I wanted. Knowing that the Pro version of the Shield has an IR receiver built in, I decided to try the Nvidia Shield profile in the MyHarmony software instead. I wish I had tried it sooner, because now my Harmony 650 controls the Shield 100% the way I want it to, it's perfect! Long story short, if you are buying this to control an Nvidia Shield with a Harmony remote, ignore the online instructions and set it up using the proper profile instead of an X-box 360.

Review: Works with Amazon Firestick and an XBox 360 multimedia controller, though subsequently I programmed a universal controller to mimic the XBox 360 remote plus volume control and other features of the TV remote.
