Title: Unable to install Ubunut Linux.
Review: The laptop was a great price for the horsepower. However, I was unable to get Ubuntu 22.04 to boot up on the laptop. I run Ubuntu Linux on all my computers and rarely have an issue installing on a new computer. This laptop was the exception. I attempted to install Ubuntu 22.04. The installation went smoothly, but the system would not boot up. It kept saying it could not find the file-system. I then attempted to install 24.04. Again, the installation went smoothly, but the system would not boot up. I then attempted to install 20.04. The installation went smoothly and this time the system did boot up. However, when I performed the release upgrade to go from 20.04 to 22.04, the upgrade went smoothly but the system would no longer boot up. I must have tried some 20 installations attempting different BIOS and kernel configurations before finally giving up and returning the laptop. I ended up buying a different HP laptop from Sam's Club with which I had no problems at all installing and booting Ubuntu 22.04.If you are going to stick with the stock Microsoft Windows installation, then this laptop is probably a great buy for you. If you intend to install a Linux installation instead, then you should avoid this laptop.

Title: Great for the money
Review: Really like this laptop. Had to buy one quickly. My old one died and I teach some classes and needed some thing ASAP, but didn’t want to break the bank.Set up process was easy – and I’m definitely not a computer guruCame quicklySome reviews I had read, said that it was a little slow, and I would agree with that. But it hasn’t been anything manageable.Like I said, wasn’t looking to spend a ton of money at this point… Didn’t think I would have to replace my old ones so quickly so that was a bummer… But this checks all my boxes and I can live with it not being lightning speed

Title: 2 months in & already having issues
Review: Worked great when I got it. Easy setup. Great performance. Exactly what I needed. Used it on Saturday and it worked fine, no issues. Go to use it the following Monday, and it won't start up. Gets stuck on a black screen with a flashing cursor. I've tried ALL of the troubleshooting options. I've tried a hard reset. I've contacted HP tech support through chat, tried all of the troubleshooting with them. Still not working. Called HP tech support tonight and tried more troubleshooting and another reset. Still nothing. So now I've had this thing for barely 2 months, it's unusable. And HP says I need to pay $40+ to have a flashdrive with the windows software loaded on it mailed to me because I don't have access to a different computer to download it to my own flashdrive and reinstall it on this computer even tho it's still within warranty but this is not covered. I'm so terribly disappointed in this whole process. I bought this computer to go back to school and for my small business. What a waste of money.

Review: First one did not turn on...processed exchange and the new one was here within 36 hours. Given 30 days to get original back.Sorry the first didn't work, but loved not needing to jump thru hoops to get the replacement.Fast and lightweight. Replacing a larger HP, will be perfect for college.

Title: Love Hate
Review: This is a good little computer and it's an annoying little computer. It is good that it is light weight and easily slips into a knapsack with no noticeable weight increase. Watch the battery life, it drains rather quickly and is slow to charge. The unit also cannot be used at night, unless, and this is a big unless, you are a master of the keyboard. The reason I say this is because the keys do not light up. That is a big deal to me, because my last little laptop key's lit up and I could continue to work into the night.Perhaps this is a new feature, or I haven't figured out how to fix it, but the icons line up on the left side of the screen and do not save. Meaning, every time I want to go to Google, I have to manually type it in. I set Google as my default search screen and it always defaults to Bing, another thing I do not like.So, in the end, I believe this was a get what I pay for system. It's good in that it's light weight, the processing speed is awesome, but that could be my internet provider. I do not like how the websites that I go to on a daily basis do not save on a top rack that I can just click on. The keys do not light up and that is a big downer for me.2.5 stars for this unit, but I gave it three, because it really is a solid little computer, the set up is just not to my personal liking.
