Title: Great dual humidifier for larger open spaced home!
Review: I absolutely love this dual humidifier, it takes up very little space, works for long hours on end and extremely quiet. It also has a spot where you can put essential oils! It's great for my family during these winter months and my plants love it to.

Title: Initial impressions only.
Review: I can only review my initial impressions so far, as I will not be using this humidifier for a couple of more months. We live in an area that is very humid in the spring/summer/fall, and currently we are still using a dehumidifier, as the air is still quite tropical. However, in the winter, our humidity drops down to around 40%, so we need a humidifier during the cold months.When I first opened the box and removed this humidifier, I was struck by the extremely strong plastic odor that emanated from it. It was pretty overpowering. I immediately took it outside and let it sit for the rest of the day to air it out. There was still some odor when I brought it back inside, but it was much diminished. The humidifier was well packed, and was physically undamaged. However, as I have not yet started it up, I don't know if there is a problem internally.I am surprised at the size. While it is somewhat tall, it has a small footprint. The description states this will hold just over 2.5 gallons of water, and if true, I am amazed they were able to do this in such a small appliance. I am concerned though about it being liable to tip easily.I am of two minds about ultrasonic humidifiers. I love how much moisture they are able to pump out, but not a fan of the mineral dust that it produces (everything gets covered by a layer of white, sticky dust). This can be avoided by using distilled water (as this model recommends), but if you have looked at prices for distilled water recently, that gets prohibitively expensive when using 1-2 gallons of water a day for several months. Also, the cool mist tends to make the room feel even colder than it already is. I have never used a warm mist humidifier, which is why I ordered this one, and am looking forward to seeing if that makes a difference. If so, it may be worth having to clean up the "dust" it produces.I will also be looking at how bright it is at night. We prefer our bedroom to be totally dark when sleeping. I saw somewhere that this has a night mode to dim the display lights, and I'm hoping there is an option for turning them off completely. If not, I will have to do what I have done with other electronics, and find a way to cover the display at night.I will update this review in a couple of months when we actually start using this humidifier to discuss how well it functions.

Title: Light up feature helpful
Review: Looks nice and works good so far after 2 weeks. I add bacteriostat. This is for my small living room, I have a smaller one for bedroom. I turn on the light feature always - it reminds me to turn unit off at night.

Review: Looks sleek and modern in the photos but in-person it’s just not that great and marginally functional:1. The vertical plastic window strip you’re supposed to be able to see the water level through isn’t adequate to see the water level. Photo attached to elaborate. Your guess is as good as mine as to how much water is in the tank!2. The directional vent at the top may spin, but spinning it doesn’t impact the stream of humidity much. It just blows straight up in the air. Video attached to show you what I mean. It needs to be angled more.3. I have a standalone humidistat right next to the unit that’s reporting the humidity to be 45%, but the unit claims my humidity is currently reaching 60%. I’ve included a photo of my humidistat sitting right on top of the unit, as proof — so if you’re planning to use this as an adjunct medical device, think again.4. The lights accomplish nothing. If you have the “warm mist” on its faintly amber and if you’re set to “cool mist” it’s faintly blue. So faint in fact that you can barely tell they’re on. In my photos, the amber light is “on”. You can barely see it!5. There’s a “UV lamp” button on the remote that nobody seems to know what its purpose is. Not mentioned in the manual. Your guess is as good as mine. I’ve left it “on” in hopes that perhaps it relates to killing germs.Overall I’m not happy with this unit, at this price point. At least it’s shooting some kind of mist into the air but all the bells and whistles it purports are useless. I’m considering returning it for a full refund, but repackaging this thing is going to be a nightmare!
