Review: This humidifier is great. Quiet and unobtrusive. It's quiet, and just runs all day and night without an issue. i have large room, air get dry very fast. after i turn on this humidifier i start feeling very goodI right away. if you are looking for a humidifier that is quiet, efficient and convenient this is definitely the one to get. Title: Pump died after 9 months of regular use
Review: Sept 30, 2024 Updated Review:Despite using distilled water as well as cleaning and flushing out regularly, the pump on my Jan 2024 Let'Me Humidifier died after 9 months of daily use. Have decided to replace with another brand which has replaceable filters over the pump to prevent sucking in particles and contaminates.Purchased 1st Let’Me Humidifier: Jan 2024; and a 2nd: April 2024. These are amazing work horses that run 24/7 when cared for properly.We live in a dry climate region. Also, during the winter, we use a woodburning stove which further dries out the air inside our home. The 1st Let’Me Humidifier we purchased has been running 24/7 in our main living area for over 6 months, and has made a significant difference in helping to increase the humidity within this living space; so much so, we decided to purchase a 2nd Let’Me Humidifier for our upstairs bedroom area.As recommended in the user manual, we use distilled water. We purchased a water distiller to distill our own water. Distilled water prevents the fine white dust which can be a problem when tap water is used. It also prevents calcium/mineral deposits from building up inside the humidifier. Tap water normally contains calcium and minerals to varying levels depending on where you live. Overtime, the build-up of mineral deposits within any humidifier will eventually affect how it operates and can clog it up.We also add a minimal amount of hypochlorous acid to the distilled water which significantly helps to keep the humidifier free of bacteria, mold and algae. Initially, we were using PUREFY: 2oz./per gallon of distilled water, but switched to EF-CHLOR: 17mg / gallon of distilled water which is much more economical and just as effective. This has minimized how frequently we have to disassemble and thoroughly clean the inside of the unit; which we do at least once a month. Cleaning this unit can be a real challenge if bacteria, mold and algae is allowed to grow due to its many tight and inaccessible interior crevasses.Pros• UV LIGHT, which aids in minimizing bacteria (not mold or algae) inside the unit.• TOP FILLING, can easily refill with water from the top without disassembling.• VERY QUIET, even on higher fan settings. It does occasionally gurgle and make noise as the upper tank refills with water, but this only lasts for a few seconds.• SMALL FOOTPRINT, this is an attractive unit with a small base, but stable base.• VERY EFFICIENT on LOW FAN: uses 1 gallon of water/day and provides plenty of mist.Cons• WATER LEVEL is DIFFICULT TO DETERMINE. There is the danger of OVER FILLING because the viewing window does not extend up to the 8 Liter MAX level.SOLUTION: Fill slowly and Stop filling once water level reaches the top of the viewing window, so as not to overfill and risk damage to electronics.• RED TANK EMPTY LIGHT may occasionally come on and SHUT DOWN the humidifier even though the tank has plenty of water.SOLUTION: This is often an indicator that debris (mineral deposits, mold, algae) has significantly built up inside the unit and is clogging it. If unit is free of debris, it is probably an air bubble; turn off and unplug for a few minutes to allow the water to drain back into the lower tank then plug back in again and restart.• POWER BUMPS will cause to shut down. Plugging into a surge protector does help and should prevent damage to electronics.• If use in bedroom, this humidifier though generally very quiet will occasionally GURGLE AND MAKE NOISES FOR A FEW SECONDS AT RANDOM INTERVALS. If you are a light sleeper, you may find this disturbing.• DIFFICULT TO CLEAN due to tight and inaccessible interior crevasses.SOLUTION: Prevent mineral deposits and bacterial, fungal and algae from building up by using distilled water and a minimal amount of hypochlorous acid. ALSO, frequently lift inner drain tray to check for discoloring or debris buildup inside the upper unit. If notice even the slightest buildup or foul odor disassemble and clean before this buildup gets any worse.OVERALL: To date, both of our Let’Me Humidifiers have proven to be work horses when maintained and cared for properly. Both units running 24/7 on low fan and maintain the humidity inside our home between 38-48%, which is much better than the 10% humidity our home drops to without them. They make for a much more pleasant living environment.
