Title: excellent tool
Review: very well made, works very well, the neighbors are jealous of my lawn where i used this tool to repair patches.for seed to take root you need to fluff up the soil, apply the seed and then rake some of the soil over the seed so it's not directly exposed.my HOA didn't properly fluff the soil before applying seed and their seed didn't quite take root but mine did, thanks to this tool ( of course i also watered and fertilized better than them etc. )worth every penny.

Title: This tool is the best!
Review: This tool worked BETTER than I ever expected! In fact, when I wanted to plant some grass seed this fall, I began by using a pitch fork to break up my clay soil. My plan was to then break up the pieces with the Garden Weasel. Well, I quickly got bored with the pitch fork and just used the Garden Weasel..... and it worked just as well or better. I'm a 62 year old woman and this tool was super easy for me to make work. Really no more difficult than mopping a floor. ...... and my new grass looks beautiful 🙂

Title: Effective for getting lawns ready for seed
Review: Over the winter (this last winter was real rough), I lot of my grass died and didn't come back. My yard had many bare, dirt patches and was starting to get overrun by dandelions. I used this tool to soften up the very solid soil to prepare to lay seed.Pros: Effective for loosening up soilCons: Hard, manual labor to loosen up the soilI am a pretty small human (5'7" 115lb) so it was tough for me to work this through the hardened soil. Ultimately, it was effective and my little seedlings are growing but it is not easy.

Title: Time tested product!
Review: I don’t have a large garden so this thing is just about perfect for keeping In between rows cleared of weeds. Easy to put together and maintain and is built great and is light weight value for your moneyDoes take a bit of mussel power to get through hard dirt but is a good work out for us older folks!

Title: Out of the box & 1 use mixed feelings
Review: Well, I did half the front lawn with this instead of I don't know how many hundreds of dollars for the pro to aerate with a machine. Seems like I had to work very hard, while it moves pretty quick....just to break up the soil surface and weeds. Shockingly, the family could tell from the upstairs window where I aerated with this and where I did not...it was subtle visually, but they noticed. I believe this "scratched" the surface and dethatched...a little. It did not break while I used two hands to move it pretty hard...I was tired, but I'm 55 so maybe not as strong as others. I had a manual step plug aearator that my husband gave away...that clearly aearated in a slower process..that we only got a little grass from that aeration, seeding, and near by gravel french drains in a very complex spot on the lawn. My husband wants me to return this...I have 2 more days to decide. If I had a moderate to small sized garden plot that I were tilling bare soil or pulling weeds every late winter/spring...I would likely keep this instead of renting and hauling a large motorized tiller. If I had numerous or a large garden plot...personally...I would probably enjoy the work out if I have the time. I don't think I would use this in a new project trying to "just get going" and I have the help to rent and haul a large motorized tiller. Okay product, just not so effective on a thick 2 inch high lawn...wasn't thick when I purchased...summer kicked into the lawn and everything else growing in it. Eh...okay...not comprehensively effective for my project.

Title: Great aeration tool
Review: After many years of using a metal rake to scratch the ground surface, I decided to purchase the Garden Weasel. From the first few strokes I was greatly impressed. It ate through the hardened soil where my dogs urinate and the ground became hard and devoid of grass. It performed beautifully under some trees where grass is hard to grow and some roots popped up. It softly buried grass seed as easily as 1-2-3. The handle is long enough (could be slightly longer but it’s fine). The tongs seem to be well made, (they are easily adjustable as you can use 1 - 2 or all 3 blades at any time to fit whatever area you’re working in). Has a slight angle pitch to save your back while rowing this back and forth. This is a drastic improvement to using a rake and cost effective to not buy a rotor tiller (unless you have a huge area to till). It still requires some effort, but the results are amazing as your packed down soil becomes loosened and gets you ready to plant seeds or whatever you want. Highly recommend

Title: Easy
Review: Usually I'm stingy and will not buy items at this price. But this sounded like an item I could use in my old, not-too-successful garden. But this item came--in a long box which meant it was already assembled or I would have returned it. It came out of the box with clanking bells and whistles in right royalty. It worked to loosen dirt. I am going to see if I will use it sufficiently to justify it--usually I am a hands-on person, use my hands with medical gloves. But so far, it's in grand shape--spanky shiny new, teeth in good shape, all there, nice and long so I don't have to bend.Verdict is out--I returned it now after three days. It was too hard for me to rake up the soil unless it was soft and I didn't want to go too deep--the teeth are only 3-4" but they don't go 4" deep with my limited strength. I resorted back to bending on my knees and raking the dirt with a small shovel and rake. (Of course, at 80, there are some hard areas I cannot dig).

Review: With the prevalence of plastic, and aluminum, this thing should cost $35-$40 CAD, and not a penny more. The head is made out of hollow plastic, the knobs are plastic, and the bushings inside the metal spikes are also plastic, and the aluminum handle is pressed very thin. How to build something as cheaply as possible, and over charge people for a bare minimum quality product.I feel I could easily brake this thing if I'm not careful. Make sure the soil is very soft, and already tilled if you plan on using it.

Review: Tried imitation ones from the big hardware stores—they had adjustable handles which was nice but in ALL cases the lock would not hold more than a few strokes, which was awful. With a solid handle and no adjustment the Weasel is always reliable. My only complaint and therefore giving 4 instead of 5 starts, is it would be nice to have the handle another 6" or so longer.

Customers say

Customers like the soil tiller cultivator for its ease of use and lightweight design. They mention it works well for weeding, breaking up soil, and making mulch breathe. Some appreciate that it's lightweight. However, some customers dislike the plastic head. Opinions differ on the build quality, value for money, and soil durability.
