Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Many of the recipes I come up with for my blog are done purely for search reasons. This was one of those recipes I created purely for that reason, not expecting much. To date it’s still one of my more popular recipes, so I wanted to share a new version of it here. This one, dare I say, is even better: It has chocolate chips. And everything is better with chocolate!
Peanut Butter Patty Bars
This recipe is dedicated to my daughter, Jordan. She discovered the chocolate and mint combination when she was about eight and was obsessed with it. For several years I’d make her chocolate mint desserts every birthday: everything you can imagine as chocolate mint, I made. When she tasted these brownies for me, her love of chocolate mint came rushing back and this recipe became one of her favorites in this book.
Nana's Sugar Drop Cookies
From age eight to eleven I stayed with my Nana after school and during summers while my parents worked. She would bake me cookies every day. I loved her sugar cookies—I looked forward to them every day! They were soft and chewy and rolled in granulated sugar before baking so they had that crunchy exterior—I can still taste them. This cookie is a tribute to my Nana: every time I take a bite I think back to those days spent with her. Hopefully they can create some fun memories with your family too.
Blueberry Lemon Bars
My husband and I moved around a bit after we first got married and didn’t live by family until our daughter was two. I remember after our move going to visit his sister as she was cooking for a dinner party; her menu included a batch of lemon bars. I cannot make a new lemon bar version without thinking of Katie and I’m pretty sure she’d love these as much as the traditional: a rich lemony bar filled with blueberries and that traditional shortbread crust. These are pure heaven for us lemon lovers!
Fruit Tart Cookie Cups
A few years ago, I did a full table for a friend’s fortieth birthday with these little cookie cups front and center. The guest of honor loves fruity desserts, but these little ones were our favorite. With a sugar cookie base filled with a creamy cheesecake-like filling, they are topped with berries (or your favorite fruit) and then brushed with a lime glaze. The crunchy cookie with the creamy filling and sweet fruit with tart glaze is, quite simply, perfection.
Cookies Squared
When trying to come up with more ideas for this chapter, I asked Facebook what I should stuff inside cookies and the results were hilarious. A few said “another cookie,” and I took that idea and ran with it. The math nerd in me had to name this Cookies Squared, because it’s a cookie inside a cookie. This cookie got all thumbs up from both Jordan and my mom, so that means it’s worth 100 gold stars. If I were you, I’d enjoy these with a nice glass of milk.
Sugar Cookie Bites
Raw sugar cookie dough was a guilty pleasure of mine for many years, even into adulthood. Now that my wild days are behind me, I like to make my own raw cookie dough without the eggs. One batch of these will satisfy any craving, plus they’re fun to make for a dessert table or even holiday cookie platters. You can change up the sprinkle colors as desired or coat them in chocolate to turn them into truffles!
Abby's Favorite Vanilla Cookies
We are avid Starbucks drinkers and we bring Abby all the time. When she was a puppy we started getting her puppuccinos, which are little cups of whipped cream. It’s gotten to the point I even buy cans of ready made whipped cream to give her as a treat. These cookies are simple and a little sweet with some vanilla extract thrown in because she is definitely #teamvanilla.

Title: A New Favorite
Review: I'm a bit of a baking book fiend and this has quickly become one of my "go to" cookbooks. I love the variety of recipes and how simple most of them are. This would be a great book for beginners or someone who just wants to expand their library with more accessible recipes. As much as I appreciate a recipe with a lot steps and "fancy" ingredients, the collection presented here shows you can still present something unique and satisfying without spending all day in the kitchen.

Title: SOOO many good things to choose from!
Review: I've been following "Crazy for Crust" for several years and have loved so many of the recipies Dorothy has shared over the years. I was so excited to get this book last week. I made the Macadamia Nut Brownies this week and they were a huge hit at home and in the office. I can't wait to bake the many recipies I have flagged! There are so many lovely aspects to this cookbook, from the easy to follow instructions, the charming introductions to each recipe and the the helpful "tips" throughout. This is a great book for both beginner and accomplished bakers looking for new and delicious treats for their friends and family.

Review: I got off to a bad start with this book due to sheer bad luck.. I had it on pre-order and then realised it was very late and hadnât turned up. The book was showing as delivered but no where to be found. Turned out it had been left in a very obscure location about 6 weeks earlier !I bake a lot.. mainly so there is something tasty for visitors at work. This isnât bakes for sale. Itâs really handy to make things with a longer lifespan or that are really quick and easy but really tasty.Iâve only made one recipe so far.. the coconut cornflake cookies. I have adapted them and reduced the coconut and added a load of oats.As well as making standard cookies (crispy and chewy) which are ideal with a cup of coffee.. I also made smaller sandwich cookies. Thick and chunky - ideal for a cake stand as part of an afternoon tea.Three batches of the same recipe in a week ! Huge success .. time to try another recipe :-)Edited to add photos of raspberry almond pinwheelsâ¦. Only no raspberry jam so mine were blueberry

Review: This cookbook has such a wonderful variety of sweets and treats! From classic cookies to a whole chapter on brownies (!!!) to blondies and more. I was so excited when I saw the bonus at the end of the treats for my fur babies! It was VERY hard to decide what to make first but we went with the brown butter pecan blondies and I can't wait for them to come out of the oven!
