Sometimes the prettiest Instagram feeds mask the darkest—and bloodiest—secrets.

Social media influencer Summer Cartwright leads a charmed life: millions of followers, the trendiest designer and vintage clothes, a newly minted book deal, the coolest friends, and, until recently, the hottest boyfriend at her über-elite prep school. Every moment of her life has been carefully planned and cultivated to complement her “imperfectly perfect” online persona. She is truly #LivingHerBestLife.

But when Summer goes missing during her annual Halloween party and then an unscheduled post appears on her feed stating that she’ll be dead within the next five minutes, those closest to Summer—her bestie, her ex-boyfriend, her frenemy, and her wannabe—know it isn't a media stunt for attention. It's not Summer's brand. Something is wrong. When their investigation leads to Summer's lifeless body, they're forced to accept that she was murdered. And no filter is strong enough to mask the lies they tell themselves.

Told in multiple POVs interspersed with social media posts and flashbacks, Live Your Best Lie has twists and turns that will keep readers enthralled. You'll never guess the ending.

Title: Entertaining read!
Review: I couldn’t wait to dive into Live Your Best Lie and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was an easy, interesting read that had a surprise twist I didn’t see coming. Frankly, I was sad when the book ended because I enjoyed it so much. I’m still dying to know what happens in the sequel! If a book or movie ends and I’m sad it ended (and if it’s a series dying to know the next part of the story), the author has done a fantastic job. Also, I’m not one for long drawn out descriptions in books. I’ll glaze over and skip down a paragraph just to move on in the story. This author had a perfect balance of setting the scene that I could imagine without taking pages to set the scene. I actually want to try and find the tacos described on one page they sound so good! It’s well written. There are a variety of characters you love and hate. The social media point of view was new to me personally to see in a book and I really liked it. Very relevant as well. You definitely need to give this book a read!

Title: It took a while
Review: Took a while for me to get into it but it was a decent read. I had to remind myself that it was kids and they do stupid things like try to solve a murder themselves. Was not expecting that gist at the end though.

Title: The Twist! Don’t Miss This Book!
Review: Absolutely loved this book! Truly cannot believe it’s the author’s first. It was written in such a fun, unique way. I loved the stylistic choices Jessie Weaver made and the incorporation of IG posts throughout. She did an amazing job of blending literature and social content in a way that felt organic and well-planned. The plot was also expertly crafted. She really keeps you guessing! And there’s a twist that’s to *die* for 😉 Definitely pick this one up and take a read. You won’t regret it!

Title: GREAT modern mystery.
Review: Phenomenal debut book by Jessie. I'm not normally one for buying multiple copies of books, but I'll definitely be picking up a physical copy to loan out to friends. I loved the changing of perspectives to fully involve and have you rooting for each character.

Title: Fantastic YA mystery
Review: The thing I liked best about this book was that I know each of the characters in real life. Not for real, obviously, but the author did such a great job capturing personality traits that I see clearly in those around me (and myself) that it was easy to hear their voices, see their faces, and feel their emotions. Each character was relatable in different ways and seemed real. The ending was a twist I definitely didn’t expect and to be honest I hated it but loved it at the same time. One of those “what?!?! No!” endings but so so good. I felt like it was a genius move on the part of the author. I’m counting the days until her sequel comes out.

Title: Fast Paced YA Mystery
Review: Live Your Best Lie was so hard to put down with all the twists and turns! This book quickly became a favorite because of the unique format and all the secrets in the book. My only complaint is that I would’ve like a bit more of each character’s backstory. The author gave us just enough to get us hooked but not enough to give us more insight into the characters and what made them tick. Despite that this was still a 4.5 star read! I’m so excited for the next book in this series!
