Title: Worth every single penny spent
Review: We purchased these products to use at an anime, comics, and gaming convention, as my husband and I were running security, our gaming room was in a different hotel next door, and our son was also volunteering. We had great clarity with these walkies considering we exceeded the range listed. We had no problems hearing each other throughout the two hotels and outside, though we only tested them up to the second floor of the hotels. The earpieces were great and the cable long enough to clip the walkie to my belt, run the cord up my back, clip the mic to my collar, and still have great range of motion. My husband is six feet and 220 lbs and had no problems with range of motion either. Everyone on staff wanted a walkie once they saw how convenient it was to contact each other across the span of the area we rented instead of having to text or call each other and fumble around with our phones when we had our hands full. We are definitely putting more walkies in our convention budget. These worked on the charger, which was great for our guy in the gaming room, as he could sit it right next to his desk and hear everything through the walkie, or wear the earpiece with the walkie sitting beside him. The batteries lasted for us for two days, twelve hours both days, though we weren't having hours long conversations, mostly a minute here and there. The batteries finally signaled they were dying at the end of the second day of constant use. We put a lot of use on these things and I dropped mine several times, and one was on the hip of an eleven year old, so I feel like they are very durable for the price. I can't say enough about how great these walkies are. We are looking forward to using these for camping and nerf wars.

Review: These rechargeable walkie talkies are awesome! They keep you connected with crystal-clear sound and a long-range signal. With four in a pack, everyone in your group can stay in touch, and the included earpieces make communication easy and hands-free. My family had a blast on our last camping trip with these. There was enough to go around for the adults and kids. They're rechargeable, so you don't have to worry about constantly buying batteries and they hold a charge for a long time. They're lightweight and easy to carry, perfect for outdoor adventures or even just keeping tabs on the kids while they play outside. These walkie talkies are durable and built to last, so you can count on them whenever you need reliable communication! Highly recommend!

Review: I've had 4 of these radios for a few years now. The headsets were broken within a year....they were junky. The radios have been working well. They aren't super powered but depending on terrain we can get a mile out of them.

Title: Not FRS frequencies - quality is so so
Review: I bought 4 of these radios. I am a licensed amateur radio operator and have been tinkering with these little radios for a few days. Here are several takeaways...PROGRAMMING THE RADIOS / FREQUENCIESI used the programming cable B00HUB0ONK and free CHIRP software to program the radios to my desired frequencies (hint: to program them, tell CHIRP that you have a Baofeng 888 radio). Before I programmed them, I downloaded the current frequency assignments for each channel from the radios. I wish I had written them down them but I do want to note they were not FRS/GMRS frequencies. Therefore, contrary to many reviews here, you would need a license to operate. Nevertheless, I programmed them for FRS/GMRS frequencies and a few others in which I am licensed.TRANSMIT & RECEIVE QUALITYThe speaker is reasonable for the build quality. Loud enough if it needs to be. Transmitting quality is decent. Some transmissions, not all, carry a low pitch clicking sound that repeats about every half second. This is without using any PL tones programmed into the channel. Not every transmission has this but sometimes it does. Easy to replicate with each radio. I've confirmed with other equipment it's not the speaker on the receiving units but rather the transmitter.BUILD QUALITYThe radios feel cheap in my hand. They are light weight. Decent belt clip on the back that you can screw into place when unpackaging the radios. The ptt button is tiny beneath the rubber cover, so even if you think you're pressing PTT you may not be because of the placement of the actual button under the rubber. I actually like the announcer when you change channels since it's difficult to visually see what channel you're on.POTENTIAL INTERNAL FIRMWARE FLAWChannel 16 (the highest channel on the radio) does not work on any of the 4 radios I bought. I've programmed channel 16 to be all sorts of logical frequencies that are well within range of these radios and it will transmit and receive just fine for a minute or two. Then, the green led light flashes rapidly and no longer receives a signal on channel 16. At that point, transmitting on channel 16 does not work either despite the LED lighting red. I've confirmed this by using a yaesu vx5r radio tuned to the same frequency and confirmed no PL or TSQL tones were being used. All other channels work fine regardless of the frequency I've programmed them for.RANGEAbout what you'd expect from a UHF radio at 3 watts. In my neighborhood (trees, houses, hills), I get about a mile range. This is normal for this frequency range and output wattage.OVERALL ASSESSMENTAbout what I would expect for radios in this price range. Decent for kids to have fun with, light weight use around a small area of land, warehouse, or venue. Unlikely to stand up to much physical abuse.
