Title: Man's Best Friend
Review: This is one of my favorite horror movies from my childhood. 2nd Best only to Cujo! Max will have you falling in love with him. His antics are hilarious and he will make you feel safe and secure in your own home. This one is a must see if you love horror movies about protective animals.

Title: A “must love dogs” Sci-Horror comedy mixing Cujo (1983) and The Fly (1986).
Review: This movie remains very entertaining, and it’s a lot funnier than I remember. Basically this is less R and more hard PG-13 lite horror comedy. But most importantly, I don’t think there has ever been another movie like it.Around the same time that John Hammond was splicing frog DNA into the genetic code of dinosaurs in Jurassic Park (1993), so too was Dr. Jarret (Lance Henriksen; The Visitor, Pumpkinhead, Harbinger Down, Hellraiser VIII, Near Dark, Piranha II) blending a cocktail of chameleon, jaguar and anaconda genes into his rottweiler. When an ambitious journalist Lori (Ally Sheedy; Short Circuit) aims to do an expose’ on test animals by breaking into a scientific research facility, the genetically engineered dog Max wanders into Lori’s care during her escape. Lori quickly learns that Max is a phenomenally well trained and protective animal.Despite being rated R, this sci-horror comes off as a rather light horror movie. Most of Max’s antics are funny as he terrorizes Lori’s boyfriend, tampers with his car’s brake line, or climbs up a tree and swallows an old lady’s mean old cat whole like a boa constrictor unhinging its jaw! And while there’s a good amount of blood, almost no flesh-rending gore occurs on-screen.Probably honoring Cujo (1983), Max picks up a pretty gnarly open wound on his face. And we have some obvious parallels with Dr. Frankenstein and his monster—Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein (1994) feels like a good match. But even more than the blatant parallels to the family dog-turned-killer Cujo, Max and his relationship with Lori reminds me of a canine version of Seth Brundle’s “Brundle-Fly” (The Fly). Just like Seth Brundle, Max finds love and understanding before coming apart at the seams and becoming the very monster that his lost love must see dispatched in the end. The acid urine attack on Lori’s boyfriend further strongly parallels events of The Fly (1986).This movie has great pacing, there’s a lot of fun and excitement, and the ending is cute, too. The ending reminds me of the end of Critters (1986).This is not a great film of any genre… but it’s still really entertaining. But most importantly, I don’t think there has ever been another movie like it. I guess I’d call this is a really good nostalgic flick, because it holds up very well. Writer and director John Lafia (Child’s Play 2) did well with this one. It’s a shame he didn’t do more.

Title: In The Right Hands Max Can Save Thousands Of Lives, In The Wrong Hands He Can Be A Deadly Weapon!"
Review: I have seen this so many times I enjoy it every time I watch it. I got this on DVD but I think Shout! Factory should have the Blu-Ray version. Hopefully one day they will. I like many scenes of Max. When Max widen his vision bigger. Max climbs the tree and ate the cat. Excellent scene. Max shakes off the mailman's spray and chasing after him. Max knows that the boyfriend poison the dog food. Max unleashed the chains. Max camouflage the garage and tricked the dog catchers. I would love to have a dog like that. But parently this is just another vicious dog film. Move over Cujo here comes Max. Great performances and roles by Ally Sheedy & Lance Henriksen. Highly recommend.

Title: good puppy puppy
Review: A great movie, mans best friend is about max a genetically modified dog who just wants a little love and a reporter who wants To make a name for herself. While shooting a animal cruelty spot she runs Into max a dog who's the company's biggest experiment , while running from security the reporter takes max thinking she's doing the right thing. Only max needs medicine to keep himself under control and with her he wont be receiving it, at first max is everything a person could ask for smart, loyal and protective. As the movie progresses you see poor max starting to giving in to his killer instinct and goes on a rampage(in my opinion all his "kills"are for good reason).however no matter what ,after all is said and done max is still a loyal dog who loves his rescuer and shows just how much love and forgiveness a dog can truly offer.

Title: Man's Best Friend
Review: I loved this movie. This was a great movie and the dog in this movie was awesome. Even though this dog is not your typical household pet, you find yourself wanting to cheer for this dog from the very beginning. It's a disgrace what Lance Henrikson's character puts the poor dog through. You know what he is doing, after the experimentation, is for the best but you still want to cheer for the dog. The woman that steals the dog from the laboratory is a great match with the dog and they bond very well, maybe to well. The dog becomes jealous and very protective of her and terrible things begin to happen. This movie is full of action and great special effects. This movie is among my favorites and I would recommend it to anyone that likes dog movies. I give it a two thumbs up.

Kein Blutverschmiertes Hundeailien.Fazit:100% ige Kaufempehlung, alles perfekt.
