"A modern day love story." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hi, I’m Lucy O’Connor—27, die-hard city girl, and as of last weekend, starring in my own personal rom-com disaster. Picture this: I’m at my future sister-in-law’s hen weekend when I meet a charming, rugged Irish farmer with an accent as smooth as whiskey and a presence that tugs at my heart like a rip tide.

The connection between us? Instant, electric; something in the air shifted the moment we locked eyes. It wasn’t just chemistry—it felt magnetic, as if the universe itself had aligned to pull us together.

He’s the man of my dreams.

Which would be perfect… if I weren’t already married to someone else.

My husband never exactly set my world on fire.

John Kelly? He’s about to burn it down.

Is this a case of the infamous seven-year itch?

Or is there such a thing as fate?

And what about karma?

Is John Kelly really all that he seems?

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love can be insane, gut-wrenching, and dizzying

Lyndsey Gallagher captures the insane, gut-wrenching, dizzying first flush of love when all you can do is think about that other person and can focus on nothing else. Beautifully captured and expertly told. It's also a story of taking risks and proof that if you follow your heart, life usually turns out for the best. Highly Recommend.

Title: Written in a very funny perspective.
Review: This book was very fun, fresh, and had a cool type of writing, which is the first thing I noticed and is very important to me as a reader. I enjoyed this funny interesting story that shows us how we never know what is around the corner waiting for us.

Title: A must read!!!
Review: This is one lovely book. At many times, I found myself falling into John and Lucy's love story, almost as if I were there to witness it all. Lyndsey has brought raw and realistic emotion into every sentence, almost as if I was reading her personal diary. And let me not neglect the epic love story that she tells, two people destined to be together, despite less than desirable circumstances. A couple fighting the odds for a love that most rarely find, or rather rarely allow themselves to find. Which brings me to my other point. I believe Lucy is an inspiration for women who are stuck in a rut, or have accepted the status quo just because that's what life's supposed to be, or what they're supposed to do. She's brave and doesn't let the myth of a "Seven-Year Itch" keep her from what she knows will bring her the greatest joy ever. Instead, she steps out on faith in hopes of landing her happy ever after. Far too often, people get stuck in a situation and can't, or won't, recognize the way out. They succumb to a blah life and accept that true happiness is nothing but a crazy dream. But what we can all learn from Lucy is that life is short, self-worth is important, and a happy ever after is probably closer than you think... if only you set yourself free to find it.

Title: Hot Red-headed Dairy Farmer meets City Girl <3
Review: This book is absolutely lovely. Lucy is a realist who gets married young knowing that true love doesn’t exist. She is looking only for stability, a constant figure in her life, not wild crazy love. She realizes that the marriage wasn’t what she bargained for . . . Lucy’s social life is lively, her friends are ever entertaining and sweet. I loved reading about them.Enter John— while Lucy is away for a hen weekend (Bachelorette weekend) she hits it off with a red-headed dairy farmer. For the first time in her twenty-seven years, she experiences complete and utter attraction to a man. I had to laugh when I read it was a red-headed dairy farmer who finally catches her heart! But John is quickly drawn as the most attractive red-headed dairy farmer! The attraction is mutual. Now, I know what you’re thinking, but there’s absolutely NO cheating in this novel, so don’t fear if that’s one of your triggers. The Irish countryside is beautifully described— I loved getting lost in it— living in New Mexico I enjoyed reading about a different place— the cast of characters add to the richness of Lucy and John’s story.Lucy must decide how she’ll proceed. Will she stay in a loveless marriage, she jumped into too young or will she pursue the first man who’s ever truly made her heart beat faster? Add to this that Lucy lives in England and John lives in Ireland and you have a true problem of the heart.

Title: Lively and entertaining
Review: The Seven Year Itch is a fast-paced story of falling in love - when you're already married. The main character, Lucy, is funny and full on, and the sort of girl who would be great fun to meet for a chat and a glass of wine (or 5!) I enjoyed reading about how she met the man of her dreams and then how the relationship progressed. Was it the real deal, or simply too good to be true? My only reservation is that it seemed unlikely that a man of John's age (with so much going for him) was so lacking in relationship history. I thought more could have been explored there, rather than writing off all his previous flings as being meaningless and/or crazy. Overall, though, I enjoyed the read, and found some of the minor characters, like Lucy's friends, to be very entertaining. My favourite was John's dad - an absolute crack up! This book is a great holiday read and keeps you turning the pages to find out if love really does conquer all.

Title: A relatable, steamy, and enjoyable love story
Review: This book is like being in the head of one of your very best girlfriends while you watch her realize her marriage is a sham and that there is so much more to life. In this case, another man, which makes for no lack of self-doubt, drama, and difficulty. Especially when your friend realizes that the grass isn’t necessarily greener. In any case, there was plenty to like about this book. It was relatable, had a good helping of steaminess, and a beautiful ending. Definitely an enjoyable read!

Review: I’m very impressed that this is Lyndsey Gallagher’s first book. I’ve read lots of her books (and they’re lovely contemporary romances that ooze sexytimes), but this one is very close to her heart. It’s her story. Likely things have been subtly changed for a better story, but I feel the truth shining through.Well done Lyngdseykins, I’m sure glad you stuck with it and kept on writing the other thirteen!

Review: ✨BOOK REVIEW✨ The Seven Year Itch by @lyndseygallagherauthorWhat a wonderful love story!!I loved this book so much, I became so attached to Lucy within the first few pages. I really wanted to cry for her in the beginning and was so happy to see her grow and recognise her own worth as the story progressed. Lyndsey did such a great job of portraying Lucy’s emotions it really felt l was living the story with her. The relationship with John felt so exciting and genuine and his parents were just the icing on the already wonderful cake. Also… the spice was 🥵🌶🔥It’s no secret that Lyndsey is one of my top 3 favourite authors and I’d whole heartedly recommend this book!

Review: I really loved this book! It was a light, fun read that I read in one day!The Seven Year Itch follows Lucy O'Connor. She is away on a hen weekend and ends up meeting the man of her dreams John, a farmer from the West of Ireland. The only thing that stands in the way... Lucy is already married to another man.I loved Lucy as a character. She was fun, easy going and witty! The chemistry between her and John shone throughout the book. And with John... I think I was a little in love with him myself by the end of the book!I loved how their romance blossomed throughout the book. I really felt the connection between the characters and their whole relationship just felt so authentic.I loved the Irish setting! 😍 It painted Mayo and the west of Ireland so well!Another thing that struck me was the friendships in this book. I loved John's neighbours and to be honest, I wanted to be friends with them myself! 😂Overall, this was a great debut novel! I didn't realise either while reading this but the book is actually based on true events of when Lyndsey met her own husband!Lyndsey has since published a number of other books and I can't wait to dive into them!4 ⭐

Review: Just finished reading this, what an amazing book not normally the kind of book I would read, I usually always go for any crime book but I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I couldn't put it down the only complaint I had was it kept me awake late at nights reading it as I don't get the chance to read much any other time with having young twins in the house. It is beautifully and well written, inspiring, funny and sad all at the same time.A true story proving its always important to go with your heart if something feels right.
