Greetings from Cicely, Alaska! Return to one of television's quirkiest and most beloved towns with Northern Exposure: The Complete Series! When New York doctor Joel Fleischman (Rob Morrow) takes on a residency in Anchorage, he's sure that he's in for a cushy, comfortable gig. But upon his arrival in Alaska, Joel finds that he's a fish out of water when he's instead assigned to a tiny village where the eccentric townspeople first befuddle—then eventually charm—him. Receiving 39 Emmy® nominations over the course of its six-season, 110-episode run from 1990 to 1995, Northern Exposure is a celebrated mix of offbeat humor and heartfelt storytelling with a fantastic ensemble cast, including Barry Corbin, Janine Turner, John Corbett, John Cullum, Cynthia Geary, Darren E. Burrows, Peg Phillips, and Elaine Miles.

Title: Don't Let The Price Discourage You ...
Review: This is the real thing! 113 episodes on twenty-five discs, with the ORIGINAL music intact! All your favorite characters come back to life in Cicely, Alaska! Dr. Fleishman, the Columbia Medical School graduate who is serving as an indentured servant to the State of Alaska to pay off his tuition; Maggie O'Connel, the hot-tempered bush pilot and Fleishman's nemesis; Chris Stevens, the ex-con and current Voice of Arrowhead County, via the airwaves of KBHR, 570 AM on your radio dial; Marylin Whirlwind, the wise but quiet Native American receptionist at Fleishman's office; Ed Chigliac, the wanna-be movie writer/director/producer and shaman-in-training; Maurice Minnifield, the ex-astronaut/plutocrat who thinks his 17 million dollars is all the money in the world; Ruth Ann Miller, who runs the town's general store; Holling and Shelly, Cicely's May-December couple and proprietors of The Brick, Cicely's only bar, and all the rest - goumet chef Adam and his hypocondriac wife, Eve, Walt the trapper, Dave the short-order cook at The Brick - they're all here.I've just finished binge-watching this entire series, and every disc, every episode was perfect; no dark scenes, no blurry edges or muted dialogue. However, I was disappointed to learn there is no directorial or character/actor commentary for any of the episodes, but most have deleted scenes you can watch, which they're calling "Bonus Content."Don't let the price fool you, though; if you loved the series, as I do, you won't feel let down or taken in when it arrives. I've read some other reviews that claimed missing or duplicate discs, but I have no such complaints (well, except for the lack of commentary). My order arrived two days early, in perfect condition. The entire series for less than forty bucks? I think this is one of the best bargains on Amazon!Highly recommended.I paid the same price you'll pay for this DVD set. I don't accept free products from sellers in exchange for my reviews.

Title: throwback to early 90s hair, clothing, technology (or lack of).
Review: It aired 1990-1995. 5 seasons, 110 episodes total, running around 45 minutes or so each. I miss shows that have more than 8 episodes per season- so many are like that these days. I remember watching Northern Exposure sometime in the late 90s/early 2000s in reruns or something. I didnt see it all the time, and I never watched it while it aired, but I really liked it. Fictionally set in Alaska (filmed in Washington), it gave my teenage self a taste of small town living, far away from people, and in a cold brutal area. I have pined for such a place forever (now 45), and I still do...Since then every once in awhile I would catch an episode and remember my fondness for it. Curious to revisit the show- watch it start to finish, I decided to pick up the DVD set. I dont know if it was ever available on Netflix or other streaming, but I figured a hard copy is good.WOW, it is a weird experience to watch it in 2021. The adults as I remember them when I was watching it so long ago seem like children to me now. haha. So many years have passed by. The lack of technology (no internet! no cellphones!) , the use of land line phones, the clothing, hair, etc is is amusing. I am about half way through season one as I write this, and I'm glad I still like it enough to go forward with the next 4.5 seasons. The set looks to be in excellent form- so far everything looks good for season 1. I expect the remainder to be just as fine. I'll report back if I experience anything differently.

Review: It’s a shame that series such as this are no longer produced. Well acted with a wry sense of ridiculousness and comic relief.Highly recommended

Review: The order was shipped promptly and in great condition.Being able to watch the series again was a real treat. Who wouldn't enjoy watching the whole Cicely crowd as they go about their (unusual) usual lives, and as the relationship between Maggie and Joel continuously fluctuates between exasperation and romance.I remember being glued to the television when this was on the air, and I have now achieved my goal of taking a week off just to watch every episode back-to-back...life can wait, this is important.Hey...great quality, great price, great shipping, and a great series. I am not Siskel and Ebert, but two thumbs up.
