As seen on The Today Show!

The new, exhilarating New York Times best-selling romance from the author of The Proposal, a Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine Book Club pick!

Maddie and Theo have two things in common:

Alexa is their best friendThey hate each other

After an "oops, we made a mistake" night together, neither one can stop thinking about the other. With Alexa's wedding rapidly approaching, Maddie and Theo both share bridal party responsibilities that require more interaction with each other than they're comfortable with. Underneath the sharp barbs they toss at each other is a simmering attraction that won't fade. It builds until they find themselves sneaking off together to release some tension when Alexa isn't looking, agreeing they would end it once the wedding is over. When it’s suddenly pushed up and they only have a few months left of secret rendezvouses, they find themselves regretting that the end is near. Two people this different can’t possibly have a connection other than the purely physical, right?

But as with any engagement with a nemesis, there are unspoken rules that must be abided by. First and foremost, don't fall in love.

Title: The Wedding Party by Jasmine Guillory
Review: Oh my gosh, this is so far my absolute absolute favorite in this series. Maddie is a stylist who has made a career out of helping people figure out how to dress, how to look successful, what goes with what and so much more. Theo works for a politician and is kind of a snob. He doesn’t realize how he sometimes comes across. They have this cat and mouse game going on throughout the book over things that happened previously and what their opinion is of each other. You also get to be part of Alexa and Drew’s wedding from book 1. There is so much laughter in this entire story and there is a closet scene that had me laughing with tears running down my face. This story introduces Theo’s brother Ben and you realize that while he may seem to be a basic child, that when push comes to shove, he can step up and do what is necessary. There are so many wonderful things about this book, ALL the characters and the storyline. It is a classic enemies to lovers, but it is done with humor, class, and a ton of enjoyment. This author and her work make me extremely happy.

Title: This is a great rom com series, and I'm looking forward to reading the rest in the series!
Review: Maddie and Theo don’t like each other. However, they have a best friend in common, Alexa. They had an “oops” night together, and ever since, they are each obsessed with each other.Alexa is about to get married, and both Maddie and Theo are in the bridal party. That attraction will not go away. They decide they will end their fling once Alexa is married, but when Alexa’s wedding is suddenly moved up, the pair don’t know what to think of it. They are actively trying not to fall in love. The Wedding Party was such an engaging read with nice tension. I loved the witty banter between Maddie and Theo. They were so cute together!

Title: Another Amazing Jasmine Guillory Hit!
Review: I am a big fan of Jasmine Guillory and The Wedding Party did not disappoint. At first I was confused that it was talking about Alexa and Drew splitting up but I realized that this was a parallel track to the Jasmine's first book, The Wedding Date. this third book focuses on Alexa's 2 best friends - Maddie and Theo (who is also her co-worker).This is an enemies to lovers story. When Maddie and Theo first met, they had a difference of opinions about each other and they had a hard time being in the same area with each other for the sake of their mutual friend Alexa. Too much liquor and a ride home led to a sexy night which changed everything. They still could barely stand each other but the sex was great. Both characters have their faults that make it hard for them to get together. They frequently misunderstand each other and get their feelings hurt but in the end, they manage to find their Happily ever After.

Title: Not bad just ok
Review: This is the third book by Jasmine Guillory that I’ve read. I previously read The Wedding Date and The Proposal. While The Wedding Party was a solid attempt, it was my least favorite. This was for a number of reason. First, these two characters, Maddie and Theo, were introduced in The Wedding Date. In that, they are solid supporting characters. In their own book, it was hard to feel invested in them as they seemed more like an idea than three dimensional characters. Second, unlike in most of her books, there was a lot of telling vs showing. By that I mean, the characters spent more time telling us what their issues were than we, the audience seeing it and seeing how they are and react to things. Which leads to my second point, I think the secrecy of their relationship is what hindered my ability to connect with them. It would’ve been far more interesting if there relationship had gotten out midway through the book and then deal with the consequences and repercussions which there should have been some stakes to keep it engaging but there weren’t. Not really. Lastly, I wasnt a fan of the first 3 chapters which were time jumps to get readers to the real timeline. As a result, I felt like I had to stick with it longer than I’m accustomed to with a Guillory book. Usually midway through the first chapter, I’m all in and invested in the characters, a testament to her writing. Because this dragged, I found that by the time I got to chapter 4, I just wanted something, anything, to happen To make me care.Despite this being their book, Alexa, the main protagonist from The Wedding Date, loomed large in this which showed me that Guillory had so much more she could’ve added to The Wedding Date but instead spliced it into this one. It’s still enjoyable. But, admittedly, if I had known beforehand, I would’ve likely passed on this book.

Title: Lovely
Review: Loved how the two important people to the bride fell in love with one another thinking it was a big secret and the bride realized it anyway. Loved how they were able to be their true authentic selves with one another. A wonderful book I couldn't stop reading.

Title: Really enjoyable romance novel. Loving this entire series!
Review: I have enjoyed each of the books in this series and think they just keep getting better and better as each one comes out. I read Royal Holiday out of order from this one, and I still think that is my favorite but this is a VERY close second. This one contained one of my favorite scenarios - e.g. we hate each other and so of course we are going to do something we will not understand and therefore regret, but not really. I loved Maddie and Theo together, and of course they tried to keep it casual, and keep if from Alexa, which doesn’t last. This became a little old, but it was all for the best and I really loved how it caught up to them in the end.As far as the steam factor, there is quite o bit of hoo boy in here, so you have been warned if that is not for you. I can skip over this stuff and so it does not bother me. I did not need to with this book, I just know there are some that it might be a bit much for, so just giving you all a heads up.Overall, I absolutely recommend this one: the audio was fantastic, and I enjoyed all of the characters in this book. I really wanted pizza most of the time I was reading this, heck, I even want to try roasted garlic on mine… You’ll understand when you read this, trust me.
