This can opener will bring you back to the good old days when opening a can didn't require electricity. Its simple design makes this your one stop tool. It's great for camping and traveling, but also is great for everyday use and it won't take up too much space in your drawers. It is constructed of nickel plated steel for long lasting durability. Title: Simple. Low tech. Works like it's supposed to.
Review: Over the years, we've had electric openers, top-brand named openers, expensive ones and cheaper ones. All were very frustrating to use in that they did not open cans. They did a great job of mangling them and expanding my language with words not fit to print. Didn't make my wife happy either. This one is very simple. Low tech. Very mechanical. AND DOES THE JOB. Oh glorious day, we are able to open cans again.

Title: Classic and still a good can opener
Review: I always had swing away can openers but too often they fail to open the can completely, I bought a new one and right off it wouldn't completely open cans, no modification seem to ever correct them. Finally I decided to just get a tried and true can opener like this and it works every time with good completely cutting. Cheap but worth every penny in functionality even though very simple design.

Title: A good old fashion can opener
Review: I purposefully looked for an old fashioned can opener, after being tiered of having the wheels spin without opening the cans for the rotary version. It gets getting used to, and starting the puncture takes some finesse, but one it’s in, it cuts. The edges are jagged so you have to be careful, but it gets the job done. If I can figure out how to start the puncture in a safe and non erratic way, it would be awesome. I do wrap a cloth on the handle because the edges are angular and very utilitarian, which is why I got it to begin with. No batteries, no moving parts to malfunction, no plugs or cords. Transportable. The blade is sharp, so caution is needed as with all sharp objects. The price was reasonable so if it didn’t work I didn’t feel like I spent a lot…but it worked just as I expected. 4 stars not five only because of the comfort of the handle, but not a deal breaker. I am glad I was able to find it!

Title: Haha the cheapest can opener on Amazon and it works the best!
Review: I have been through quite a few openers from electric ones costing $40 to designer crank ones costing $20, they ALWAYS end up breaking down after a few months or so and never open the can right. Either slipping or not fully cutting the edge. Last expensive one I bought on here was $20 and broke after 3 uses.Needed an opener quick so I ordered the cheapest one I could find for overnight shipping and to my amazement, it works better than any other opener I have tried. 🙂

Title: Simple yet effective
Review: This had minimalistic design compared to the other brand variants e.g., cuisinart.Without all that plastic for ergonomic holding the tool does what's meant to do open cans :)I found it suitable for back packing/camping trips. It's quite sharp and so takes less effort to cut through the cans easily. The Delrin/plastic washer at the center makes it smooth to turn yet takes a lot of beating during the operation so a bit concerned about its durability, but for the price you can't go wrong.

Title: Lasted only 1 can
Review: This can opener is so flimsy that it lasted only 1 can. i had a spare can opener exactly the same and it doesn't even punch the initial hole. This thing has just one purpose. I don't understand how a product can fail so miserably in doing the only thing it has to do. Clearly no quality assurance went into this and its just a few pieces of highly bendable metal. It's about as light as aluminum. These things need to be thick steel with a turning handle that can fit an adult hand. There isn't a single redeemable quality about this. Some products on amazon have issues or defects but for the entire product to be nothing but is an indication of a fraud. Everything about this has to be changed to turn it into what it is claimed to be able to do.

Title: Worked for a While
Review: I gave this can opener 3 stars because it worked for a few months and did a great job for the price and then one day it just quit working. When I turned the handle while it was on a can, it wouldn’t move. I thought maybe it was the can so I tried a different can from a different company and it still didn't work. I did really appreciate the part of the opener that was a can lid punch. This makes it so much easier to pour something that is just liquid out of a can without opening it all the way. I also liked how small the opener was. I just wish this would have lasted longer.

Review: I put 3 stars as the rating because this isn't easy to use if you have never used one. However, it works every time on any size and shape of can, can be used to open your beer and your wineIdeal for the glove compartment of your car and necessary in your emergency preparedness kitsIt's more versatile than the military key ring can opener and as easy to use once you know howNote the notch. First hold the can opener up as in the 2nd picture and give it a sharp hit with the palm of your hand so that the blade punctures the lid of the can. Second, put the rim of the can into the notch and walk the blade around the can until the lid comes off.

Review: This can opener is perfect! I bought this to put in my family emergency evacuation bag. In order to carry as many items as we possibly can to make an evacuation more comfortable...I look for small size items and light weight items so they take up just a wee bit of space in our bag leaving room for another comfort item. This itty bitty can opener is perfect for that! It is small, light weight, works, is solid and sturdy.
