Title: Must have for any kitchen!
Review: First of all, the book is just gorgeous - the rose gold foiling and pretty pink binding - just absolutely lovely. The pictures inside are stunning and make your mouth water! But the content is the real game changer - Bri walks you through creating your ideal kitchen environment and helps you focus in on areas you want to feel more confident in and gives next steps on making that happen. Her recipes are DELICIOUS and manageable - there's recipes for busy weeknights or big crowd pleasers but also ones for those days you might have some extra minutes to spare. With every recipe comes delicious flavors and the satisfaction you used your tools and senses to create something wonderful!Cannot recommend this book enough - Bri is like a wise and trusted bestie from the get go and she will make your life in the kitchen better and open to bringing more people to the table.

Title: Not your typical cookbook - this one will transform your approach to cooking!
Review: I used to hate cooking. I mean I really hated it...I knew how to make a couple of recipes that my mom taught me when I was a kid and that was it. If something went wrong, I had no idea how to adjust, so I just got frustrated. How is my chicken both burning and not up to a safe internal temperature?? What even is the point of trying???Enter Bri McKoy. I took her online Everyday Kitchen Masterclass, which not only taught me some delicious recipes, but crucially taught me the "why" behind what I was doing every step of the way. It has completely changed how I feel about cooking. I went from a usually frustrated "Hello Fresh sometimes works okay for me" type of cook to someone who enjoys going to the store and seeing what looks good and then searching for recipes using in-season ingredients to try.She has translated that class and much much more into this book and I cannot recommend it highly enough! Everyone who has learned to cook by just trying their best to follow recipes NEEDS this book. I guarantee you, it will change your life in the kitchen in the best way.Along with super valuable cooking lessons, she also has a ton of absolutely delicious recipes in here, plus a whole section on wine pairing that has made me at least appreciate wine more if not totally converted me into a wine snob. There is a margarita recipe in here that is literally the best margarita I have ever had, and my husband, who is VERY picky, absolutely cannot get enough of it.On top of all the incredibly valuable information in here, this is also just a beautiful cookbook and will make a nice addition to your shelf. I can't say enough good things about this book, but this review has to end sometime, so just do yourself a favor and buy this book immediately!

Title: Excellent Info Presented Well
Review: Bri has artfully and simply explained cooking details and techniques that you just do not get from reading a recipe. I wish I'd had this cookbook a few decades ago when I learned how to cook! I purchased it as a gift for a woman just learning, and I know it will be tremendously helpful. Bri explains how different types of pans produce different results, why there are so many types of salts and how/when to use them, and much more!Lay-flat pages are so helpful, the photos and content are laid out in an easy-to-read fashion, and oh by the way the recipes sound delicious! I'm happy I got to read through this book before sending it along to my friend. Do not snooze on this one - it's brilliant!

Title: Pretty and Practical
Review: I'm a seasoned cook and I love this book so much!! It will be one I gift not only because it's so pretty 🙂 but more importantly because it's a reference and recipe book all in one that everyone can use and enjoy from a beginner to intermediate to advanced cook. And I'd also say, if you're someone who doesn't enjoy being in the kitchen, Bri's engaging and fun personality will draw you in and inspire you to get in the kitchen and try out some of her recipes even you start with an appetizer or a cocktail before trying one of the mains or sides. I love that she includes information on choosing pans, knives, wines, and even salt. She does all of this in an approachable manner so that you can go to your kitchen or to the store armed with the ability to take action, not throw your arms up in the air in frustration thinking "not for me!" Most importantly, she teaches you how to make recipes your own - adding your own level of flavor and how to keep going if something doesn't turn out the way you like. That's called learning or as she says, "joy in the kitchen!"

Title: The Cook's Book is way more than a cookbook!
Review: Yes, it's got easy & flavorful recipes, but if you want to learn how to feel comfortable in your kitchen and why it is that your chicken is burned on the outside but raw on the inside, The Cook's Book is for you! In this book, Bri McKoy teaches you how to become a confident home cook by teaching you how to cook (rather than just how to follow a recipe), but more than that, she invites you to use food as a source of community and connection with those around you. Bri's wisdom and humor in the kitchen is relatable and helpful to cooks of all levels. Her chicken piccata and Greek meatballs are regular rotation in my kitchen, and don't get me started on her cocktails- they've ruined most bars for me forever. This book should be in everyone's kitchen!

Title: Very useful
Review: I’ve never bought a cookbook before! All of mine have been handed down for generations. This one is full of very useful information. She goes into detail about salt. She goes into detail about cookware and pantry items. I think every newlywed couple should definitely receive one of these for a gift and housewarming gift. Me and my husband have been bonding thanks to this cookbook. Every recipe is mind blowing.

Title: One of the most beautiful & comprehensive cookbooks I’ve read
Review: This gorgeous book is so much more than a cookbook (though it’s a wonderful cookbook!) It’s a manual, guidebook and gorgeous (coffee table worthy) book. Bri’s personality comes out on every page as she guides us through our kitchens introducing new ideas, tips, tricks and recipes alongside age old concepts in a delightfully new way as only Bri can do. If you’re not familiar with her already, you will fall in love with her delightful persona in every page of The Cook’s Book. Beautifully done, Bri. Congratulations!

Title:
Review: I've only cooked one recipe from this book (so far), but it was a winner for me, the extra creamy chicken piccata. I love the recipe format of the book too, the way the steps are numbered in separate paragraphs, the helpful hints in the recipe, the mention of prep and cooking times and so on. If you're not a very experienced cook, this kind of instruction is SO helpful. All of this would be meaningless if the recipes weren't any good, but they ARE, so it's win, win! I can see myself cooking a LOT of recipes from this book. Kudos to Bri for her excellent approach to cooking and helping all of us become better cooks. Definitely recommended!
