Title: Simple and Effective
Review: Others mentioned the odd-sized batteries but I don’t care because the product is efficient and easy to use. Family member is ill and I hooked one button on a command hook on the nightstand and one next to their chair in the den. Easily seen and reachable. The call buttons come on a strap which we hang around the neck use when they are sitting on the patio or elsewhere. The receiver volume is plenty loud in the “ding ding” mode and attention getting when in the “alarm” mode. The receiver has a clip that really doesn’t hold on any waistbands, pockets, etc. I ended up shoving it in the back pocket of my jeans or carrying it with me from place to place when not attending to them. It’s kept my loved one from falls and any accidents because I can respond quickly. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Title: Best thing since sliced bread for caregivers!
Review: We have a baby monitor in the room with hubby so that I can go about running the house while he's confined to bed. Not always a great solution -- sometimes I hear the TV but he could be hollering for me and I wouldn't hear it, just the TV! I needed to find a more reliable and consistent way for him to be able to get my immediate attention. It had to be simple, easy for him to physically use because he has decreased hand strength... this item is an absolute God-send! I don't know why I never saw it over the past 10 years that we surely could have used it but we have it now and it's making life so much more bearable! This package comes with 2 round buttons, 2 "holster" type holders, all the necessary batteries, a "pager" with a built-in pinch clip (belt, on clothing, etc.) that receives the signals from those buttons, easy to understand instruction sheet, 2 nice quick-release lanyards, 2 pieces of double sided foam sticky tape to mount the holsters to hard surfaces and 2 screws that you could ostensibly use to mount the holster permanently to a hard surface. That's kind of a stretch though because the screws are pretty small...We've mounted our button holsters on hubby's bedrail by tieing it with a lanyard and on his bedside table edge via the sticky tape. Easy peasy for both of those installations.Hubby can easily push the buttons and has started to do so. Often. LOLThe pager has no volume control so whether you choose the doorbell sound or the alarm sound, they come across LOUD and clear. I wish there was a way to adjust the volume because I need a supplement to the monitors, not something that will lift me off the sofa when hubby pushes the button! So, that's the only drawback that I see so far...I haven't tried it yet but because the system is self-contained, this should be usable anywhere as long as both the button and the pager are in decent relation to each other. There's no monthly service fees of any type and no base station required. So I can easily see this being an inexpensive and helpful tool for people who might need it outside in their yards or while shopping, etc. It wouldn't necessarily be the most elegant of solutions and it would probably startle anyone who wasn't aware it was in use.For us, this is a huge bargain at around $40 and I really wish we'd found it earlier. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has a very dependent loved one but still needs to have their own life and do things in other areas away from that person.

Title: Works Great!
Review: We really like this product. It works great--there are 2 sounds--one is similar to a bell tone, the other is a siren--we use the siren sound selection on the receiver when outside mowing as it is louder. The range works as advertised and the sounds are loud enough to hear. We were surprised that it came with lanyards and that the receiver has a clip to attach to a pocket while someone is outside. We added another lanyard to one of the pager buttons so that it would hang from the towel bar low enough to be grabbed if there was a fall in the shower. We test it daily as there is not an alert for low battery---other than that---we have no other cons. We researched other products---this is the ONLY one that met our needs and WORKED (we received a defective product from another company that was very cheaply made) --- we did not need something calling a service---we just wanted something for our personal use. We do recommend this product--reasonable cost and does what it advertises.Update---Oct, 2013--we have had this product about 6 months now, and it started working intermittently. For the most part, it still worked if you pushed the buttons several times---we changed the batteries inside the buttons----so that is not the issue--it is likely the contacts. Also, I noticed the range between the receiver and the buttons had shortened--I would need to have the receiver almost in the same room as the call button for the alarm to work----that DID turn out to be a battery issue with the receiver---it needed new batteries and now the range is back to normal. I called the smart caregiver company and asked if they had any systems that one could just order a new button if a button went bad, as this one does not have that option. The customer service representative recommended the 433-EC, the receiver uses 3 C batteries, but also comes with an ac adapter; and you can add up to 5 buttons, however it will keep sounding until you turn it off at the receiver. You can also order replacement buttons for the 433-EC, according to her. The receiver on the 433-EC does not have the clip to carry it around as does this one. She said the 433-EC has a one year warranty as opposed to a 90 warranty that this one carries. So consider your needs as each has it's pros and cons.

Review: Unit works well and delivers a very loud sound when set to Alarm. It is good For Home use, but I would not recommend for Commercial Institutions. It is not rugged enough to withstand drops. Distance was good. I tested it in a 2 story Bungalow and it rang with the receiver in the basement and I was on the 2nd floor. Comes with cups to put the button into to as well as a Lanyard to carry the button around the neck. Comes with batteries included.

Review: I have had problems with other wireless devices in my bungalow so was worried that I would not be able to receive the signal when I was at the far end of the house. It is excellent. I can hear it everywhere including in the garden. My mother is absolutley delighted with it. Her face lights up when I appear after she has pressed the button. Worth every penny to see her.

Review: A twofold blessing. My husband has a progressive disorder and I used to find it difficult finding "me time" while being constantly alert on him. This helps me to do both. Good, carrying sound but not sharp. He also feels confident of immediate attention. A must for care-givers.Thanks a lot.

Review: When I received the item, I noticed missing batteries. I accidentally press the bell, surprisingly it rings. Then I checked that the unit had been used, as the battery are in and small damage seen as photos attached. The bell does not work when there is a wall in between. I am very disappointed with the seller and the product. I am returning it!!
