Title: Career Soldier Review after near daily use for 1 year.....I render a salute to this shaver
Review: I am a US Army NCO, and have NOT had good experiences with electric shavers in the past. They either burned my skin, were a chore to clean, didn't give a good shave, couldn't stand up to use in the field....or all of the above. This thing though, I'm duly impressed.decided to give electrics another shot, I hate traditional razors. A year ago I bought this with full expectation that I would have to drop a few hundred bucks to find what I was looking for, thinking the Max-T would prove the "get what you pay for" idiom once and for all.I happily admit that I underestimated it. This shaver immediately earned permanent space in my kit.the bad:- one of the 3 branded center caps on the razor screens popped off within a month or so, but honestly because it's recessed, it has not affected it's performance at all.the good:- Super easy to clean! This is a huge deal. If it were a pain in the ass, the shaver would have probably gotten tucked in a drawer & forgotten by now. Opens up wide, comes apart easily, I use canned air to knock off the bulk of the hair, then dunk the blades & screens in shredder oil. after wiping everything off & blowing out the main compartment, goes back together easily.-Great Shave. I've found that other electric shavers can leave patches, this thing gets everything it passes over. Leaves my face smooth, two thumbs up.-Easy to hold. the design makes it easy to keep positive control of the shaver, this makes multi-tasking easy.-Good battery life. Even after a year, this guy will run for a week on a charge. the LCD/LED (whatever it is) battery life (in %) in large bright numbers is super handy for a quick check in any lighting.-Versatile & Fast Charging. Micro USB charge Port! Because I find myself in such a variety of environments, this small feature has made this shaver indispensable. I always have at least two high capacity portable chargers, but if wall power is available, i'll use a regular wall adapter to charge my stuff, the fact that I can charge it without having to worry if I brought some proprietary charging cable means I can always get this thing charged up if I need to.-Stands up impressively to abuse. depending on what is going on, I may not clean this shaver for over a week. I try to clean it every few days just because, but because it is so durable and dependable, I'll push it depending on the sound of the rotary motors. If it squeals, it means I need to make some time for some TLC. I know thats not how you should treat machines, but I know it can take it.There are other features, but these are the most pertinent to me. I dont really use it in water, so I can't speak too intelligently about that. the mustache trimmer works fine, feel like that's pretty standard with most shavers though. This shaver, though cheap and replaceable, has made itself valuable with it's performance and consistency.TLDR : pick one (or two) up; super inexpensive & great shaver!

Title: I paid more for one not as good as this
Review: It's what you may have come to expect for a rechargeable floating-head razor, BUT it's sturdier and shaves just a little closer than other low-end models that cost more. It does take a while to get a close (for a floating-head razor) shave, but it does get pretty close. The battery lasts through several shaves. Considering the price, I gave five stars. It isn't very loud either. The sideburn shaver works well. Easy to clean.

Title: Good shaver for the price
Review: I've used Norelc* shavers for decades, after trying other brands and other designs, so I'm a fan of this form factor. You know immediately when you look at the MAX-T that it's another Norelc* clone, whose original design is considered by many to be the closest thing to the ideal shaver. And since patents have long ago expired, lots of manufacturers have copied it. Being a direct clone, it operates exactly as the original does.I currently have a half-dozen shavers of this design, most of them older Norelc*s that have developed issues after years of use, but I also have three shavers that are still in working order but have dull blades. So I went shopping for a new one and found the MAX-T. Given its attractive price and good reviews, I decided to give it a try. It seems to shave as well as any I have.Likes:- It's well-made- It has double-row cutters, as opposed to single-row like many lower-cost shavers- It is washable and wet/dry capable, so it's easy to clean- The big bright battery remaining percentage is great to have- It can be used while charging, important when the battery runs out in the middle of a shave- The charging cord includes the "brick", so you don't have to go find one to charge it- It's ergonomically shaped, so it fits the hand nicely- It comes with a drawstring "sock" for travel- Nice pop-up trimmer for sideburns, beards or mustaches- It shaves as close as can be expected of an electricDislikes:- Nothing significant so far, except that battery consumption seems high at about 15% per shaveRating:- I like the shaver, but I can't bring myself to give it the full 5 stars. It's still a copy of a successful design at a much lower price, and I can't help but view it as a lesser-quality product that won't last as long as the original it's based on. I hope I'm wrong, but until I'm proven to be I'll give it 4 stars. In the meantime, based on my short time with it and its attractive price, I will still recommend it.

Review: I've shaved with disposable cartridges & cream for most of my life. I would get Sensor Excel Mach 2's but the price is high, you need shaving cream and they lock up the cartridges a the pharmacy so it's an extra step to ask someone for assistance to access the product. For a year I've been dry shaving with this device. If you let it run for a couple of minutes before you start it will warm up and it will be more pleasant when you make contact with your skin. Kind of like a massage. If you procrastinate and you're shaving with more than stubble then you will find that the device pulls at your beard hairs and the sensation is far from pleasant. Fortunately there is a trimmer attached and you can spare yourself this fate if you do some pre-trimming before shaving (very helpful when doing the upper lip)... Or, don't procrastinate and it won't be an issue. They say to replace the blades every six months but you can 'get away' with the same ones for longer. I changed mine after about a year. I immediately noticed the difference (less pulling more cutting).Cleaning the device... While you're shaving it's easy enough to pop the top and tap the device to empty it. Eventually you're going to have to unfasten the blade assembly and remove the individual shaver heads to clean the hair off them directly. When you do this, make sure you've put a filter on or plug your drain so the head doesn't accidentally fall in. It's not difficult or lengthy. Just don't expect to have purged every piece of detritus left within. It takes less time to clean this device than the time spent tapping a cartridge razor against the side of the sink, rinsing it after every couple of strokes throughout one's shave.Battery life is solid. I can shave and deplete only 10% of its reserves. Cord length is generous by contemporary standards.Good product compared to what it replaced (no more shaving cream, blades have longer life span than cartridges). I have zero idea of how it compares to other electric shavers but like it says in the headline, it does the job adequately.

Review: I bought this as a replacement for my old philips shaver. The new philips design does not appeal to me, but the old shaver lasted very well and I was completely satisfied with it. This Max-T matched well in size and design to my original philips and the price seemed reasonable. I have taken a chance, purchased this product and so far, one month after starting to use it, I am completely happy with how it shaves, cleans and holds its charge. It does not feel quite as durable or solid as the old philips, but only time will determine whether it was a truly worthy replacement.
