Title: Sizing and comfort
Review: When I first pulled these boots out of the box, my first thought was "no way will these fit." I bought them for a future trip to northern Norway. So, I decided to give them a try anyhow. I'm a size 9 wide men's and that's what I ordered based on other's comments. I put on a pair of heavy winter socks and to my surprise, the fit seemed okay. I kept them on for the evening while in house. They'll take a little while to get used to as there is some spring to the step because of the padded insole. They are a little tight to get into but once on they were warm and comfortable. Haven't taken them outside yet but they appear to be well made. Hope this helps others thinking of giving these boots a try.

Title: Great Boots
Review: I think these boots are great and can't beat the price. I don't want to spend 200 bucks on a boot I'm just gonna tear up. Kind of heavy but once broken in they are great and very comfortable and warm. My last pair lasted me three years. I do live in TX so they are very seasonal for me but great for working, stylish, waterproof, and durable. I also like that they are a bit wider than some other brands.

Title: Heavy, but high quality
Review: Very warm, very sturdy, and very high quality. Not the most comfortable though, and they are rather heavy and a bit bulky to be worn as general purpose boots. I love their appearance, and had been searching forever to find a pair of boots that are warm, stylish and functional, almost like a snow boot/dress/all purpose boots. These are so close to being that, but not quite. They're great if you're going to be trekking through snow, shoveling the driveway, etc, but a bit too bulky and heavy to be worn as a "Timberland" alternative. Also, they are a bit of a pain to get on and off.

Title: Comfiest boots I own. Do not size up! Order your usual size
Review: Just got these boots in the other day. I haven't had a chance to put them to the test yet, but so far the construction is actually kinda impressive. (I will certainly come back and edit this review if they fail quickly though.)[UPDATE 2022: Still going very strong after about 6 months of total daily use! Faux fur at the cuffs is starting to look a bit worn in (still looks presentable and good though), and the seams are tight and as waterproof as ever. Ok now back to the original review)The sole and uppers appear to be a single piece of rubber, so there's nothing to delaminate or offer a point of entry for water. Even that tan strip along the rim of the sole (on the brown models) is just a streak of color cast into the same body of rubber. The sole (heh) exception to that "single piece of rubber" bit mentioned above is a section of rubber stitched over the back of the heels, over the heel counter. I'll pool test that seam to check if they properly sealed the stitching on the inside, but so far it looks solid. The uppers are a combination of top-grain leather and a stiff and dense felt-like material. As for the inside liner: the top 3 inches of the shaft consists of an artificial shearling material, with the rest of the interior being a synthetic thermal fleece. I've actually been wearing them as slippers in a room that gets near freezing at night, and they're quite the toasty bois. The insoles are the usual cheap $0.50 things that practically all manufacturers insist on sticking into their shoes. Literally every brand from Nike to Airwalks are guilty of doing this, so no surprises there. That said, these cheap insoles are easily twice as thick as the usual stuff you end up with, so they're actually very cushy and comfortable in their own right. The default insoles offer no arch support, but if arch support is important to you, chances are you already got a pair of proper Powerstep or Superfeet insoles to swap out with these instead, so I consider that a non-issue.The boots are very stiff when you get them, (they also seem to have a proper shank, which is a plus) but they are so heavily padded on all sides that they feel extremely comfortable on your feet even on the first wear--that is, IF you get them in your proper/usual size.I originally heeded everyone's advice on winter boots and ordered these half a size larger than usual. But I ran into a problem: the boot's sizing already accounts for winter socks. :pSo basically my heels did not seat into the boot properly, and there was quite a bit of play/room for wiggle in the heel/vamp region even when fully-laced. It was enough to be alright for short walks, but it was loose enough that it would've caused chafing issues with any walking activity longer than fetching the mail or putzing around the property. Not something you want in shoes meant for day-to-day use.I returned them and ordered another pair in my usual size (half a size below the first pair), and they fit perfectly with both normal cotton crew socks and my thick, wool snowboarding socks. My toes had a centimeter of wiggle room from the front of the toebox, and my heels seated securely enough that I could just use these as slip-ons without laces if I wanted, and not notice the difference. (Then again, I'm skinny so my feet are fairly normal. "Chunkier" feet/ankles may require that half a size jump up.)

Title: Excellent value and boot
Review: They are very comfortable and nowhere as heavy as other winter boots I have had. The sole has great traction. On wet smooth surface concrete at least. We havenât had much snow here. Just cold weather. The collar is very soft and doesnât rub with the wool lining. This is the first pair of boots I have had in the last 7 years that didnât need aftermarket insoles, and I donât buy cheap boots. These boots are true to size, but remember go a size bigger than you would normally wear. If you wear a 12 get a 13. You will want that room for think socks, and/or multiple pairs. Also the laces cinch down really well to keep them from slipping, but I leave them loose from the 2nd row of eyelets down unless I am doing a lot of walking. Leaving them that way allows more warm air to be around your foot which keeps you warmer. The tighter the laces the closer your foot is to the outside and that is where the cold air is.I hope they last as long as I think they will, but if not I will absolutely be buying them again. I have actually put more in my cart for Christmas gifts this year. If you want a great boot at a great price I definitely recommend these. I would choose them over my Chippewa boots 10/10 times and they were 25% of the price.

Review: Vendor describes leather in item. There is no leather. Otherwise, fit and construction seems good. I will know soon enough if they become dangerously slippery in cold weather, as I suspect they will based on the hard feel of the sole even at room temperature.Update: we have just come through a very cold period, with temperatures down to -45C for many days running. These boots are surprisingly warm for a couple of hours of moderate activity daily even in the high 30's below. This with two pairs of quality dry, clean socks and thoroughly dried boots every day. The lowers did not crack or show any signs of degradation whatsoever. Nor did the uppers. The synthetic fleece at the boot tops shows a little wear, but not much. It could just be normal packing is all. Though the lowers feel somewhat stiff at room temperature, remarkably they don't seem to change, even in extreme cold.I have never done a review on any of my amazon purchases until the day I first did this one and two others. I was dismayed that all three of the products described "leather" materials and they were all synthetic. That bugs me. Nortiv8 were the only ones who contacted me through amazon to address my concern. The others did not. I have returned one of the other items (foot wear) and the other item is ok to be used even though it is not leather. Disappointed, but it will not affect usage. I would have returned these nortiv8 boots too, but since the company seems genuinely concerned about customer satisfaction I thought I would give them a chance. Well it appears that the materials used in these boots is very good quality synthetics. Traction is excellent and they had no issues in truly cold weather. So far so good. No doubt they would be warm for hours and hours in -20C weather during some kind of moderate activity, walking for example. I have walked about 10 miles or more in them while doing things out in the cold and they have performed well.Obviously, with any winter boot it is important to dry them thoroughly every day and to wear good quality clean, dry, warm socks, preferably two pairs. With that in mind, these boots are warm. And they are very lightweight, which is an advantage of the synthetic uppers over leather. These boots appear to be very well sewn (nearly perfect in every way) with what appears to be good thread.I liked them enough that I am getting another piece of Nortiv 8 footwear. Their customer service is superlative. I have had quite a bit of back-and-forth emails with them and they have been consistently quick and thorough in their response. It is sometimes hard to find that these days, unfortunately.I will recommend this company highly. I changed my rating to five stars.

Review: These boots are waterproof as shown in photo in description, they are obviously not waterproof above tongue or lace holes.. boots are worth the money and do keep your feet warm and are grippy. Boots are well made and cheap for the money. I think these boots will be durable. Happy with purchase
