Title: These are great breathable shoes!
Review: I have always been looking for shoes that has the mesh/breathability of water shoes but it has a strong, rugged sole of a hiking shoe. I finally found it!You can really hike on rugged terrain with these shoes and your feet will stay much cooler than regular hiking shoes. Of course, depending on the terrain, you may get some small debris, dirt etc. to work its way into the shoes, specially on a longer hike. But, for a light hike they are great and you can also use them just like a water shoe or just use them around town.

Title: Great sneakers for hiking in both city and rainforest
Review: Bought these for my husband for our trip to Puerto Rico. True to size, very comfortable. He wore them to walk in the town and to the hike in rainforest (hike on muddy trails, trek through river, swim in the river, climb on rocks). The shoes performed great, very comfortable. And not a "snowflake" meaning they don't have to be only for water and have multiple purposes.

Title: Cool looking, cool wearing!
Review: I purchased this because I wanted a full foot-covering shoe which would prevent me from getting my foot and toes sunburned on those long hot days on the boat. I loved wearing flip flops but sometimes the sun beats down so hard that my toes were getting sunburnt. But also wanted the free, cool breeziness of open sandals.these fit the bill, and look stylish! Though I wish the mens also came in a lighter color to reflect those rays. They keep me cool while serving as great sunblock. I would have given five stars except that they are minorly scratchy mesh; but I think i'll quickly get used to the mesh and appreciate the benefits.

Title: Disappointing fit and performance
Review: Very disappointing. 18 hours after being caught in a downpour, these shoes are still soaking wet. I would've returned them if it happened sooner after my purchase.Also, the quick-pull closure is too long: The end keeps slipping out of the loop that's supposed to hold it and falling under the shoe as I walk.That may be because it was not thraded trhough the top two eyelets at the ankle, but I can't adjust that, since it's a one-piece design.

Review: Zapatillas ideales para lo que fueron diseñadas: uso activo con clima muy seco y altas temperaturas.Son súper ventiladas, la malla es minimalista pero al mismo tiempo tiene una estructura bastante resistente, con una especie de finísimo hilo metálico (ver fotos).He puesto fotos y video con luz blanca y roja desde dentro de la zapatillas para que se aprecie lo abierta y ventilada que es la malla. Cuando las compré no parecía que fuese tan ventilada.Me funcionaron de forma estupenda para hacer un tramo del Camino de Santiago de 150 km, con muchísimo calor, cero ampollas [también ayudó la vaselina ;-)]No protegen nada contra el agua, si hay posibilidad de lluvia o terreno encharcado no las uses, te empaparás los pies. Solo sirven para tiempo y terreno seco.La amortiguación de la entresuela para caminar es perfecta y la suela tiene un punto bastante duro ideal para asfalto y que se comporta muy bien en terreno pedregoso.Me han resultado muy cómodas para uso urbano y hacer turismo de patear mucho.Lo único que tengo bajo vigilancia es el sistema de atado de cordones, que de momento va bien, aunque no me fío de su durabilidad a largo plazo.
