Title: Hard to figure out how to use.
Review: The instructions to use don't make a lot of sense to a beginning user. Maybe if you know how one is supposed to work it might make more sense. I'd have returned it but my granddaughter loves messing with it. Be prepared for holes to appear in the yard, LoL. She found a nut for a screw and was hugely excited.

Title: Good for beginners
Review: My son is loving his metal detector. It is pretty easy to use and it folds up nice and small that he just throws it in his backpack and goes. The screen is easy to see and the sounds are loud enough to hear in crowded areas. It is lightweight enough that he is able to use it for quite a long time without getting tired. He has used it a lot over the summer and is just having fun with it. The price seems to be about the right range for a metal detector of this quality. I wouldn’t expect it to find anything valuable that is very deep, but for now it is keeping him entertained and I enjoy it’s durability and don’t fear it will break on him.
