The Victor Safe-Set Mouse Trap was designed with safety in mind. The Safe-Set feature was engineered to prevent accidental triggers while still keeping the elimination clean and humane. Not only is it safe for use around kids and pets when used as directed, it is also easy to use regardless of your experience level. Add a high protein bait to the refillable bait cup, then set the trap with just one click! Place the activated trap into a location with rodent activity. For your convenience, the unique bait hood eliminates bait theft. The Safe-Set Trap also offers a 100% catch and kill rate. The high side walls prevent mice from entering from anywhere but the front, ensuring the mice are properly oriented for a quick, humane kill. When mice approach for a treat, the trap immediately springs closed to eliminate the pest on contact. All that’s left to do is dispose of the rodent and clean the trap so it’s ready to use again and again. With another quick click you can easily release and dispose of the rodent. Refill with bait and continue trapping to achieve a mouse-free home.

Title: Effective and Safe Pest Solution
Review: I love the effectiveness of these mouse traps. Reusability is a definite winner since it offers value for money. The Safe-Set design provides easy set up, and the fact that it's child and pet safe is a huge relief. Impressed with the 100% catch and kill rate, it really does its job. Easy bait application is also a plus point. Overall, a top-notch pest solution!

Title: This really works and easy to use
Review: Gets them ad kills them. Just be careful when handling as closure is powerful. Got two mice in 2 days ad expect more. Great that is is reusable also. Pieces of cheese really attracts them...Death is quick so one does not have to see the slow death of glue boards. I highly recommend this as a clean ,quick and effective termination.

Title: Fake or Faulty
Review: I purchased Victor Safe-Set Mouse Traps from my local hardware store and caught 4 mice. I noticed the cheaper price on Amazon and ordered more from them. I set out 8 traps, 4 in my kitchen and 4 in my basement, and caught nothing. I thought the mice had wised up to the traps. I decided to switch up the bait, since I had only been using peanut butter up to that point. Imagine my surprise when I found that most of the peanut butter had been eaten and there were claw marks in all of the traps. Trying to trigger them closed to switch out the bait also took a lot of effort. These are either fakes or they are faulty. After figuring this out, I went to the local hardware store and purchased traps from them and caught 3 mice in under 24 hours.

Title: Super easy
Review: So easy to use. I placed a small amount of peanut butter in the bait cup and snapped it closed. Then I squeezed the trap to the open position until it clicked. I then placed it in the drawer where I had seen evidence of a mouse. Not 5 minutes later, the trap triggered and the mouse was caught and killed. Problem over. Thank you for such a simple to use trap .

Title: Worked great for a few uses, then loses trigger sensitivity.
Review: This worked well out of the box, but after catching 2 or 3 mice each, they no longer trigger, so the mice just come and eat the bait.

Title: Worked the first night, and more importantly, my cats didn't care about it (pre-mouse, at least)
Review: For the price I wasn't expecting much from this trap, especially given that I tested it on my finger to make sure that if one of my cats managed to find it and take an interest in it it wouldn't break their paw, and I could even let it snap shut on my finger full-force and, although the feeling wasn't great, I figured it was more likely to just get the mouse stuck than to actually kill it. And although the way it gets activated does require someone/thing to mess with a piece of plastic that covers the food in the trap, it doesn't take much to set that off, so I was afraid that one of my cats *might* decide to smack it and the thing would still go off...so the spot I put it in wasn't even super accessible to a mouse. But hey, might as well give it a try, right?Aaaaaand, yep; the thing worked flawlessly. We knew we had at least one mouse because I had set up a webcam to watch my cat's dry food at night, which had been disappearing, and despite doing the trick of putting peppermint oil in places where you think the mouse might be, it only deterred it for a night or two before the thing would be back. So last night I set up the trap, and the webcam didn't catch anything (other than the cats) after I went to bed...but sure enough, there was a dead mouse in the thing come morning. So apparently the trap, despite not being in the best spot, was still more inviting than having to make a run to the cat kibbles. That said, a solid 5/5 stars for it working as expected, being as "pet safe" (and finger and kid safe?) as I can imagine a spring-loaded mouse trap to be, and being super cheap to boot (and you get two traps, even! Setting the other up tonight just in case).
