Title: Sounds great on PS5 and PC
Review: Iâve used a bunch of different mics from Hypercast to Blue Yeti to Audio Technica. Honestly, theyâve all been great but they were all condenser so external noise was always present when party chatting. When I needed a new mic I decide on this dynamic Shure mic. Theyâre pretty much the most popular mics right? And for good reason. Iâm no pro so didnât go all out with the SM7B and this seemed liked a good middle ground and itâs been great.Great construction quality and simple design with a nice weight to it. Itâs not so sensitive that it captures background noise loudly and having the mic up close captures your voice perfectly. Nice and crisp with good clarity that just has a different sound to other mics.Iâve been using it on my PS5 connected via Elgato Wave XLR and works without issues. Also have it connected to my PC via Minifuse 2 audio interface with cloudlifter and no issues there either. Definitely recommended if you want want a high quality mic without breaking the bank too much.

Review: This is an amazing microphone! The sound quality is amazing and something i would expect from a mic that cost double of what this did.

Title: Works great for dictation...
Review: I have this running through a Focusrite Scarlett Solo and it works very well. My dictation program is Dragon Naturally speaking, though I'm assuming it would work well with any program. Great buy.

Title: Needs pre-amp depending on audio interface
Review: Just be aware that, if pairing this with a budget audio interface, such as the behringer uphoria umc22 or arturia minifuse 1, you will absolutely need an inline pre-amp (titan fethead is a good option) otherwise you need to have your input gain pinned to the ceiling to be picked up at all.Once you've got that sorted though, recording/voice quality is stellar, as is the build quality.

Title: Works great for me.
Review: This is my first XLR and I've really enjoyed it so far. I see a lot of reviews saying it's too quiet, and I'm not sure what they're doing wrong. I haven't had this issue at all, and I'm definitely a novice regarding this stuff. You do need to buy a cable and an audio interface so that does add up... I went cheap on the interface for now, and it still works great. This is the XLR version only, so there is no USB option or controls on the mic itself, but this is a good way to jump into trying a trusted brand XLR on a moderate budget.

Title: Podcasters: needs third party shock mounts and pop filters - but it's a great mic.
Review: Tried a bunch of different mic set ups...(procaster, yeti, audio technica, sony) and ultimately this was the best.My cohost and I record in a small room with lots of neighborhood noise (enormous and purposefully loud pick up trucks/tiny early 90s hondas), and while we use foam, noise curtains, and even some interior storm windows to reduce the idiot noise pollution - we still get a ton of low bleed. My cohost also make SO MANY lip smacking sounds due to Invisalign. After trying different solutions, it was clear that our old mics (audio technica) were not cutting it anymore. The old mics were fine - but after passes in iZotope, and DAYS of editing, we would sound good - but the amount of work needed to get there was back breaking. The Shure mics just have a more whole sound if that makes any sense. The mouth noises are more easily eliminated with iZotope, and it doesn't seem to degrade the audio like it could with previous mics, it's serious saved me days of manual editing work. I equalize the audio much less, finding that our natural voices just sound much better, and just overall the recordings are so much easier to edit.As far as those low rumbles... these are the hardest noises to deal with... but I do find that these mic are slightly better at blocking those out. I did, also try the USB version of this model with the different vocal options...and found really no difference in low rumble noise cancelation. So I returned and stuck with the XLR version and save 200 in the process.CONS:Picks up a lot of desk noise - solved by using a table stand, on a silicone hot plate mat, and a shock mount. Arm mounts did not help here as they seemed to pick up more noise and were also harder to position. You need to stay pretty close to these mics and arm mounts allow for gestural movements when talking...which naturally lead to a lot of inconsistent audio. Also another reason not to use an arm mount with these - they are very prone to plosives. This was solved by using BOTH a slightly thicker pop sock along with the stedman pro pop shield...very few plosives sneak by now. You can't really use the metal pop shield with an arm mount... the directional mesh works best with table mounts.

Review: I've owned many mics ranging from $20-$70. Most of them were bad, some were alright. Heck, I even got a $150 dollar headset and the mic was really bad even though it was said to be amazing. So I decided to take a gamble with this SHURE mic... This really puts "You get what you pay for" in perspective. This mic sounds so good! I'm someone who constantly has a fan running in the background so I invested into a cloudlifter and the result? The crispiest sounding mic I've ever used! Please not that this is an XLR mic, and requires these things to use:-PC-AUDIO INTERFACE-XLR CABLE
