Cuisinart has an easier, healthier way to make fresh crisp popcorn in the microwave. Our pop and serve popcorn maker silicone bowl pops kernels without needing any oil for a lighter healthier snack. Add your own flavorings like butter, salt, or spices, or leave as is for a healthy snack that’s ready to serve right from the bowl! The silicone bowl is easy to clean and collapses for convenient storage. Fun to use and easy to clean.

Title: This Is Crazy
Review: This gizmo is brilliant. The red, silicone bowl collapses for easy storage.Brilliant. It's diswasher safe. (apparently the llid requires hand washing, Not a big inconvenience), The bowl get very hot in the microwave--too hot to touch. This may help pop the popcorn,, or not. However, the lid and the white rim/handle does not get hot. Brilliant,I've seen "lewer than 5-star reviews" and I have no reason to think of giving it less than 5-stars. Storage? No, the collapsable bowl reduces the amount of space it uses by 85-90%. I've gone thorugh about 4 pounds of kernels and have had 1-3 unpopped kernels per 3 tbsp of popcorn. I've never burned corn because I use the "popcorn timer." I wait until the last pop was a ten-count ago before opening the microwave door and taking out the popped corn. That's about 2:50 for my microwave. The instructions are minimal, I'll agree, but most of us can intuit how to use it, Why the lid is not diswasher-safe is a question for the designer.

Title: What A Cool Find!
Review: After searching through many reviews on various microwave popcorn vessels I decided on this one for the reviews. The fact that it is silicone, It collapses saving space in my cabinet were all deciding factors. I found it easy to use. All kernels of popcorn popped . I used 1 tsp oil and just a bit over 1/4 cup of popcorn with the microwave set for 4 minutes. But all microwaves vary so just watch it closely. All in all this is a great little microwave popper

Title: Great Product
Review: Iâm very happy with this popcorn popper bowl. However, the instructions did not say the amount of kernels to place in the bowl and for how long. Googling it, I discovered I should use half a cup of kernels and microwave it for four minutes. Well⦠Turns out half a cup is too much. The popcorn overflowed it popped the lid off.On the positive side, it popped almost every single colonel! Only 15 kernels out of the half cup of popcorn kernels were left on popped! Impressive! The product is well-made and Iâm happy with it. I just wish the instructions included home much to put in and for how long.Next, I will try 1/3 cup of kernels and microwave it for three minutes 45 seconds.UPDATE: I looked at the pamphlet which had recipes. In the recipes I discovered "directions".Use 1/3 cup of kernels and microwave for 4 minutes. However with my microwave 3 1/2 minutes was enough. Only 5 kernels remained unpopped. EXCELLENT! Great product, well made, easy to clean and store.

Title: Practice makes almost perfect
Review: We own the Presto PowerPop popcorn popper and it's a fantastic product but I got tired of purchasing the little cardboard concentrator cups it requires so I went looking for something a little more straightforward and I chose this Cuisinart bowl after doing some research. I will say that without a doubt the Presto popper is superior in that it pretty much pops every kernel and almost never scorches even when you use olive oil but this one is convenient and practical and does a good job after a little practice. I can no longer use olive oil when I pop popcorn but I can use canola oil, I tried salting the corn before popping it but it also scorched so now I just pop the corn with the oil and then salt it afterward. I stop the microwave after 3 minutes because after that it will start to scorch and it does leave a few unpopped kernels but it's negligible and just takes some getting used to after using our Presto for many years. It's not perfect so if you're looking for that go ahead and buy the Presto PowerPopper and load up on concentrator cups but this Cuisinart popper is good enough with a little practice.

Title: It works well, even though we don't use it as instructed.
Review: We have a stir-popper that works great, but it's a pain to clean, especially if we only want to make a small batch. So we bought this because the reviews were decent and we've had pretty good luck overall with Cuisinart over the years. It works well as instructed, but the popcorn comes out very dry, sorta like air-popped, which was completely as we expected. Instead, I use some coconut oil with the popcorn, cook it, and then add salt and additional flavorings, or whatever. We have a 16-yr old 950W Kenmore, so the instructions leave a lot of unpopped kernels ... I'm still trying to find the best combination, but I'm currently using slightly less than 1/4 cup of corn for 4:30 and ending up with maybe 40-ish unpopped kernels (see pic). I don't think I can go much longer than that without scorching, so I'm going to try some new popcorn and maybe different brands (this was Jiffy Pop white, but I bought it a while ago). It cleans easily by hand, and we've tossed it onto the top shelf of the dishwasher as well. Overall, I don't see how it's reasonable to blame the piece of silicone for the unpopped kernels, and it otherwise works as advertised, and we're happy with it, so thus the 5 stars.

Title: easiest air popped popcorn
Review: I make air popped popcorn almost on a daily basis. I like it plain with salt, no butter or oils. Most people would think of it as cardboard but it's great as snack for my diet. I have tried all kinds of methods to pop the corn, including other silicone makers for the microwave, pot on the stove, air vent machine and the microwavable glass pitcher. So far the Cuisinart silicone bowl is the best of them all for the following reasons: It is inexpensive, can be folded flat for storage, is good looking, easy to clean with a bit of water, all kernels pop in 3.5 minutes, doesn't need oil and doesn't leave residual taste. The other methods have some problems: other silicone makers were not as durable and lost their shape after a few months, cooking with a pot on the stove required oil and was messy to clean, the air vent machine tasted metallic and sent the kernels flying around. The glass pitcher worked fine for a while although it left a lot of kernels unpopped. However after a few months this glass pitcher started giving out sparks in the microwave and I was worried it was going to explode. I tried to clean it thoroughly but couldn't fix the problem. Conclusion: Cuisinart for the win!
