Title: This book is fantastic.
Review: I had a copy for myself and ordered one for a friend who has difficulty cooking. Soups are her thing. Besides the soup or stew recipes, there are bread accompaniment recipes and a few other recipes to help round out the meal. It is a good book for my friend and I to go through and make meals as a social activity, because some of the international flavors may be more fun to try together.

Title: Wish I hadnât bothered.
Review: I think I bookmarked two recipes out of the whole book. The author seems afraid of spices and herbs, often using a whole clove of garlic for 6-8 entree servings! Yes, thatâs a single clove of garlic. Canned beans are very prevalent, being featured in the vast majority of the soups. Out of four or five cornbread recipes, only one had more cornmeal than flour.
