Back in 2017, OUTXE was founded, carrying the dream of making your life easier and living better.

We believe that products should be designed to last and be rugged. Today's "poor quality" mentality really bugs us. That’s why our goal is to make products that are both durable and dependable in all conditions.

OUTXE stands for “Outdoor Xtreme Energy” – and that’s exactly what we provide.

Title: Perfect to secure my phone!
Review: I travel frequently for work with my boarding pass in my phone. I bought this so I didn’t worry about grabbing my phone form a pocket. I was concerned with the safety of the tab but after a couple of weeks and a few trips, I can say this works well to give you a free hand.

Title: Perfect!
Review: I love the strap! I hardly ever drop my phone now. And you don't have to worry about the strap coming off because it isn't a stick on. It inserts inside the case.

Title: >>> SEEMED GREAT AT FIRST
Review: > For use with a cell phone case (with a closed bottom) only.> Seemed great at first. Well made, rugged. May be good for riding roller-coasters, rock climbing, zip lining, and such -- but not so much for ordinary daily use. Probably excellent if you want to wear your cell phone diagonally across your chest, like a purse.> The attachment pads are very interesting. They are "sticky" on smooth surfaces (that is, the back of your cell phone, and the inside of your cell phone cover, assuming that your phone, case, and the pad is clean) --- but without adhesive, and just peal off if you want to remove them. The attachment pads do not interfere with installing and removing the cell phone case. The attachment pads alone are worth the price of the OUTXE lanyard. And you get 5 pads, enough for 5 phones.> It is best to wipe the lower back side of your cellphone, and the corresponding inside of your cell phone case with an alcohol towelette first, and try not to foul the attachment pads with finger oils or other "dirt". Don't wash the attachment pads (unless you've already hopelessly fouled them with sticky ice-cream fingers). Touch the pads with clean fingers only, and as little as possible.> But, in my opinion, for my personal use, the straps of the OUTXE lanyard are too thick, too wide, too stiff, too uncomfortable -- particularly if you primarily want to carry your cellphone in a pocket or a bag. I also soon became concerned about the metal fittings scratching my cell phone. It's too much hardware -- with the effect that you'd probably take the lanyard off your phone, and then not have it on the phone when you need it most. The lanyard is too bulky to just keep in a pocket by itself to use "when necessary". The nice little handstrap only exacerbates the bulkiness problem -- which are you going to use? The neck strap?, the hand strap? Both? (Actually probably neither). A better solution, for me, would be a smaller, more comfortable, more subtle (flexible, soft), lanyard that I could permanently install on my phone --- especially if the lanyard could double as a wrist-strap.> So, I kept the very useful attachment pads, but replaced the OUTXE lanyard with a "AMUU Lanyard" (search Amzn for "AMUU Lanyard"). No metal parts to potentially scratch my phone. Much more compact, comfortable, and less obtrusive. I usually wear the AMUU Lanyard around my neck ( usually with the phone in my shirt pocket), but if I put away my cellphone in a pants pocket, etc. (or for women, in a purse) the AMUU Lanyard can simply wrap around the phone taking-up almost no extra space. If I'm using my cellphone extensively (e.g. taking photos) I just let it hang from my neck. If you want to keep your phone in your pants pocket, the lanyard can also be looped through your belt to provide extra security. The AMUU Lanyard does not have any clips, nor a breakaway feature -- and so, the AMUU protects from accidentally dropping your cell phone, and also protects your cell phone from theft (as long as the lanyard is around your neck or attached to your belt).> CAVEAT -- While the "AMUU Lanyard" has a slider for "shortening the lanyard" --- the slider is worthless, because it does not stay in place. But you can make a temporary quick, loose, overhand knot to temporarily convert the "AMUU Lanyard" into a wrist strap, if desired (e.g., to take a selfy). Note also that the attachment loop of the "AMUU Lanyard" might hypothetically wear-out after, say, a few months of heavy use --- although I've seen no evidence of wear on mine.>> Note that there are similar lanyards with easy-release plastic clips (something to avoid) which allow you to disconnect your ID Badge (the lanyards are almost exclusively used for that purpose) to run your badge though a scanner etc. --- but those are poor choices for a cell phone lanyard, because they might disconnect by accident, dropping your phone to the floor.<> UPDATE -- yes as many other customers report, the attachment pad caused my phone to rise in the case, such that it was hard to plug-in the charger cable. But after a couple of months, the little "bridge piece" of the case (just above the charging plug socket) broke, so I carefully cut it out completely (with a wire cutter, and smoothed with a nail file), and now the charging cable plugs in easily, and the case does not appear to be compromised. I've been using the (post surgery) phone/case/strap for about 3 months now, including a cruise, with no problems. Also, some cables do not bind as much as other cables. Buying a charging cable with a skinnier plug is a cheap solution to the problem.> Reading some of the other reviews, many disgruntled purchasers apparently tried to install the attachment pad on cases which do not have closed bottoms. Again, that won't work. You must use a closed-bottom case.

Title: The best thing I’ve bought for traveling!!
Review: So easy to install and with it, a huge sense of security. There is no way I could drop my phone and after a bit of adjustment, I got used to it hanging around my neck.It was so convenient to reach up to take so many photos or answer it…and I never had to worry about it falling out of my hands or on the floor. I may have looked a bit like a nerd, but I don’t care! Nobody wants to replace an expensive phone in the middle of a trip. Do yourself a favor and buy one!

Title: Strap OK; ring is PITIFULLY THIN
Review: I like the length of the adjustable strap and it's a nice clip, but NO ONE wants to trust a $1,000 phone to be held secure by this thin, tiny metal ring. The ribbon is secured, but there's probably a reason there are 3 tabs included. I need the strap but please put a thicker ring in to hold the phone.

Title: Super Sturdy "Phone Leash"
Review: Barcelona is known as the pickpocket capital of Western Europe, and I was going there for 3 weeks on business and holiday, so wanted a way to keep my iPhone safe while in crowded areas. This did the trick. I just slung my iPhone 13 around my neck when I wanted it to be handy for constant use but without worry of having someone snatch it out of my hands (or pocket). I tested it with several strong YANKS and it did not come loose at all when installed under my Spigen phone cover. The wristband option is also nice. BTW, do not freak out about pickpockets, just be diligent and not distracted in crowded places and don't let anyone distract or fake you out, especially in the most crowded tourist spaces, and never leave your belongings on a table or chair. People who lose stuff are almost always unaware "suckers."

Title: A must for anyone who changes cases often
Review: Used to have to reattach my wrist straps to each case as I changed them, but this method allows a simple swap of cases without having to reattach a wrist strap that connects with split rings or other connectors requiring tools to attach or remove.

Title: Strap is twisted--misassembled
Review: I received this immediately before leaving for extensive travel so I will have to use it as it is, but the longer strap is not assembled properly and it's uncomfortable to wear because it's twisted, obviously with the sides glued incorrectly. Seems like it would be just fine if it was put together properly.I want to add that the seller saw my review and offered me a refund, which I accepted, so I'm adding a fourth star.
