Title: A High-End Reading Light That Delivers on All Its Promises
Review: I've been using the BenQ Screenbar E-Reading LED Computer Monitor Light Lamp for over a year now and I have to say, I'm really impressed with it. The matte black design is sleek and modern, and it complements my backlight/RGB setup nicely. But what really sets this light apart is its auto-dimming and hue adjustment features. One of the things I love most about this light is that it is USB powered. This means that it is easy to set up and use, and it also makes it easy to take with you on the go if you need to. The build quality is also impressive. It feels solid and well-constructed, and it has held up well over the past year. The auto-dimming feature is a game-changer for me. It allows the light to automatically adjust to the ambient light in the room, which means that I can use it in any lighting conditions and still be able to see my screen clearly. The hue adjustment feature is also great, as it allows me to choose the color temperature of the light that I prefer. One thing I will say is that this product is on the expensive side, and if you don't have the extra money to spare, there are cheaper knock-offs available. However, I have tried both, and I have to say that this product is worth the extra money if you can afford it. The auto-dimming and hue adjustment features are so convenient, and the build quality is so good, that it's definitely worth it to me.Overall, I would highly recommend the BenQ Screenbar E-Reading LED Computer Monitor Light Lamp to anyone who is looking for a high-end reading light. It's well-constructed, easy to use, and offers a lot of great features that make it well worth the investment.

Title: One of the best lights you can have for a desk
Review: The BenQ ScreenBar is a stylish, effective solution for improved desk lighting and reduced eye strain. A bit pricey, but the high-quality lighting and design justify the cost for those who spend long hours at their desk. Simple to install with a clamp that attaches to your monitor, and the touch controls make adjusting brightness and color temperature a breeze.

Title: Good light. Be careful of the power source.
Review: UPDATE: I replaced the wall power adapter, and the touch controls function well again.I like this light for several reasons, but with one major drawback. First, the bad. The touch sensitive controls are a nice feature, but they have stopped working for the most part. When I first got the device, the controls worked well and made sense. I like adjusting it for a fairly dim amber light, which provides enough brightness to see items on my desk without adding glare. However, the buttons are almost non-functional now. Something is not right. I have to touch them numerous times to get them to respond. It's pretty frustrating when all you want to do is get the thing to turn on.Aside from that, everything else is great. It's a nice design with a weighted counterbalance that keeps it snug and stable on top of the monitor. The USB power is great. I power it from a wall outlet, but you could power it directly from a PC. The design is unobtrusive, and it doesn't add a lot of weight to the monitor, which is nice since I have that monitor mounted on an adjustable arm.If not for the issue with the buttons, I would rate it a strong 5. I rate it a 1 for ease of use only because the buttons started becoming finicky after about a year of gentle use. The buttons are logical and easy to understand; it's just that they are hard to use when they stop responding to touch.

Title: Excellent Build Quality and Light Dispersion
Review: For years, I have used two desk lamps, one on each side of my monitor. Looking to remove clutter from my desk, I began looking at alternative lighting solutions. Upon finding the monitor mounted light bar solution, the challenge then becomes selecting the right one for the job. With the wide range of pricing across the different brands, justifying the much higher cost of the BENQ demands some thought. For me, the number one consideration was the mounting. If you look at the reviews, on other offerings, there are issues in this area. Flexibility for different monitor shapes lacking. Instability with mounting. And the hugely problematic manner in which one of the main BENQ alternatives SQUEEZES the monitor, potentially damaging the display panel itself. In addition to mounting design, the quality and lifespan of the LED lights are a consideration. Is the brightness uniform across the length of the light bar? Is the color of each LED uniform? Would it be a wise choice to go with a much cheaper alternative to the BENQ only to find that LEDs began failing, or were inconsistent. I may be incorrect in my assumption here, but I would like to think that the added cost of the BENQ is bringing an extra degree of quality and durability in these areas. With that said, other than the bite of the price, I am WELL pleased with the quality and performance of the BENQ. Super simple to mount. Extremely stable. Consistency of light level and dispersion. A top notch item in every respect.

Review: My work from home space is fairly lacking in natural light, and the room light is in the centre of the room, which means I am always working in shadow and needed a desk light to ease the pressure on my eyes.I initially purchased a basic adjustable bar-lamp which clamped onto the desk, but this had several drawbacks, including flicker and screen glare.I decided to part with 8x the cost of the generic lamp to purchase the BenQ Screenbar and let me tell you, I am glad I did.Firstly, in typical BenQ fashion it comes very professionally packaged, with high quality box and well seated and shielded components inside. The mounting bracket is solid and super easy to sling over the top of the monitor, with the suitably solid weight keeping it in place. The USB-A plug has wide compatibility, but the back of the light itself is USB-C so if you have existing USB-C to C cables then you could use this instead. The light is very sleek and almost invisible when in place. The build quality is exceptional - the smooth metal finish conveys durability and minimalist style. The top of the bar features 4 touch activated contols - power on/off, auto (ambient light sensor) mode, colour temperature and brightness - but you should only ever need two. Power and Auto. When you turn this light on you will be amazed. The first thing you will notice is your workspace bathed in a very high quality light. More than enough for any type of task, and definitely good for seeing your keyboard keys in a dark room. What also strikes you is how well the directed light beam works. There is literally ZERO glare on the monitor screen AT ALL. Its almost magic that you can have a brightly lit desk, but without straining your eyes with a light source reflecting at you (or worse pointing in your eyes). The icing on the cake is that the actual light itself is well shielded from shining directly at your eyes too - when you have your monitor at the correct height, then you cannot directly see the light source at all.The auto setting works flawlessly to provide the exact right amount of light.Bottom line is, yes - this is an expensive monitor light, but it is the best you will find for eye-comfort and functionality.
Customers say
Customers like the brightness, build quality, and functionality of the lamp. They mention it focuses on what really matters, is reliable, and has several settings. Some also appreciate the ease of setup, design, and screen glare. However, some customers differ on the value for money.
