Review: I haven't had any problems with these. I use these for producing my own music with Ableton (guitars, bass, midi). They sound great to me. They get louder than I need them to go. I can't turn them all the way up and sit in front of them mixing and recording music.They do enter a rest mode when you don't use them for a long time. It takes less than a second for them to kick back on though. They never rest when I'm producing music. Only when no sound has gone through them for a while and again they come back on in under a second. If these were your concerns I recommend buy them.Pros:LoudIncluded wiresThey look nice5" speakersAnytime I go to a concert the DJs are using pioneer equipment. 🤷‍♂️😅Cons:I wish the power switch was on the front and not the back, but it's a matter of preference and not really much of an inconvenience.They're a little more expensive but I don't have to live with the fear of missing out after buying cheaper 3.5" PreSonus speakers.

Title: Sounded great for a few months and then just stopped working. Buy Mackie's instead.
Review: These just died for no reason. I replaced them with Mackie desktop monitors - wow! The Mackies are smaller but sound better. More importantly, a year later and the Mackies are still working!

Review: I was not expecting this. My needs was to get near field, not too big, great sounding with bass. I will move the 1280DBs and sub to another room. These Pioneer DM50 really surprised me! Perfect to my hear at low-mid volume. A bit muddy at high volume, but i don't use them that way.
