AfterPill is after-sex birth control.

When used quickly, it reduces the chance of becoming pregnant after unprotected sex or regular birth control failure. It contains 1.5mg of levonorgestrel, the same medication in other leading emergency contraceptive brands. It is the same medicine that has been used safely and effectively in regular birth control pills for over 30 years.

AfterPill Emergency Contraceptive can be used effectively for up to 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected sex or birth control failure. It is more effective the sooner you use it, and it has been shown to be most effective when used within 12 hours following unprotected sex.

If you are already pregnant, AfterPill will not work. It will not terminate or harm an existing pregnancy. According to the World Health Organization, levonorgestrel works similarly to regular birth control pills by preventing ovulation or preventing fertilization.

Like all birth control pills, AfterPill does not protect against HIV/AIDS or other sexually transmitted diseases.

Be Prepared

The sooner you take a levonorgestrel emergency contraceptive, the more effective it is. A trip to the store takes time—not to mention the potential embarrassment and lack of privacy. That’s why being prepared for the unexpected with AfterPill at home is a smart move.

Emergency contraceptives are more effective the sooner they are taken. The World Health Organization recommends women be prepared for the unexpected and have an emergency contraceptive medicine on hand.

Is it safe?

The active ingredient in AfterPill has been safely used in many birth control pills for 35 years.

While AfterPill reduces the risk of pregnancy after unprotected sex or birth control failure, it will not impact your ability to become pregnant in the future.

The most common side effects associated with 1.5mg levonorgestrel include changes in one’s period, nausea, lower abdominal pain, fatigue, headache, dizziness, and breast tenderness.

Since its approval in 2006, over 20 million over-the-counter levonorgestrel emergency contraception products have been sold in the U.S. alone.

What AfterPill is not.

AfterPill is not the abortion pill. It will not work if you are already pregnant. It will not terminate an existing pregnancy. Multiple doses will also not work to terminate a pregnancy.

AfterPill is not as effective as regular birth control in preventing pregnancies. It is an after unprotected sex, emergency birth control product that will reduce the risk of becoming pregnant if used within 72 hours (3 days).

It is not protection from HIV/AIDS or any other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

How will AfterPill be shipped?

The shipped package will contain 1, 2, or 3 (depending on the order) individually sealed and labeled AfterPill cartons each containing 1 tablet (1 dose), along with a consumer education leaflet.

Statements regarding dietary supplements have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.

Title: Worked
Review: They work. Just keep in mind for ALL brands that if you weigh over 140lbs you need two pills for it to be more effective!

Title: No child
Review: I bought one pack about a year ago the first time. Took the pill as instructed. No baby so far. It worked very good without any after symptoms or period changes. Bought the 2 pack recently about 2 weeks ago, and took one pill after you know what. The next day I was bleeding from down there. I had just finished my period cycle about a week ago. But I guess this time the pill did mess up my period cycle or something because for almost all week after taking the pill I was bleeding. It was weird having my period twice in one month, but on the good side, no baby. So they do work. Just beware of the bleeding, if any.
