Title: Works well for rats, mice AND ants!
Review: These Virine repellents work! I tried baits, poisons, buckey traps, snap traps and live traps filled with the finest of foods like turkey, dog food, nuts, cheese, etc. I caught a few mice, one rat and attracted a bunch of ants (which is how I learned we had an ant issue). These methods were frustrating, a lot of work and pretty gross to deal with not to mention mostly ineffective. So I ordered these ultra-sonic repellers figiring I could return them if they were as bad as the Bell and Howell ones I bought at walmart (which DONT work).I ran extention cords to my attic because thats where the rats and mice have made homes. We can hear them at night - they come down the walls, across the rafters and out holes to access the rooftop, roof soffit and vents, etc.So we plugged 2 of them into the extention cords and placed them on opposite sides of the attic. We made sure to turn on the strobe light and set them to "DUO" mode to disturb the mice, rats AND ants. That SAME night the rodents behavior was different, more erratic. The second night they were making five times as much noise as usual in the attic when night approached. The next day we checked the sound emitters and the rats had attempted to cover them! The next few days went the same way but with gradually less noise. It took perhaps 8 days before there was silence. We haven't heard a rat since, not found a single dropping anywhere. No pitter patter above our heads, no rats wrestling sounds, no chatter...NOTHING!To add to our outright delight, hundreds of ants started coming out of the ceiling after about 6 or 7 days! Tiny little things, but they spit acid and arent pleasant. It was a pain to have to spray and collect them all but its been about 20 days now and we havent seen any ants for a few days, after spraying and cleaning up the hundreds upon hundreds that evacuated the ceiling! So as a recap- no ants. No mice. No rats. These things work!

Title: Setup was a cinch.
Review: Set up was really easy.We have been having repeated problems in our pantry with mice. I have used decon for years but I dont like the chemical aspect. I also don't like the smell if a mouse dies in the pantry. We put the Mouse repellent on the floor in the pantry about 2 months ago. No one has complained about any mouse turds in the pantry since installing it. I'm not sure how good it works because it says it might take weeks for the results but I think it must be working due to no new complaints about mice. I also am thrilled that there is a spider and bug repellent feature on the device. Spiders and spider webs were also showing up in the pantry. I didn't kill any spiders after I installed the device and I havent seen any webs recently to the device must be working. Good job. The clicking noises can be heard by the human ear but since I don't spend alot of time out in the pantry it doesn't bother me.

Title: Does not repel squirrels, it does make them angry enough to attack the device
Review: So this is funny, I have squirrels in the rafters of my shed. I donât want to use poison because we have a high population of neighborhood cats. I donât want them eating a poisoned squirrel. So I thought we would give this a try. After attaching to my rafters, I turned it on the second setting, which is the pressure wave. Immediately I heard the squirrel scrambling from underneath the eaves. I left this on for 30 days. Afterwards, I realize that the squirrels had just learn to adapt to it they had not left.So I decided to try the final mode, which is the pressure wave and the noise. After about 48 hours, went back in to check, and the first thing I noticed was that the device was no longer in the rafters, but on the ground, the connecting plug I still havenât found, and the power wire, as you can see in the picture itâs completely chewed through. I hope it shocked the little bastard. . That hanging wire you see in the picture is whatâs left of the power cord hanging from the rafter. The device has some scratches, but other than that Iâm hoping youâre still functional once I figure out how to power it with a new power cord.I can only give it one star because I didnât solve my problem. However, I am getting a lot of entertainment out of it. Now that I know they will attack it, once I find a way to re-power it, Iâm going to use it as bait in my next trap, or I may just put it in a cage and see once they realize they canât get to it or the power cord, if that finally drives them out. If it does, Iâll give it some more stars. At the very least, I know that those little buggers are pissed off as I was. Squirrels 3. - Me 0. ⦠for now.
