Title: Maybe not the last mouse you'll ever own, but close to it.
Review: I am an avid gamer. I was going through mice at a rate of 2-4 per year for probably 10 plus years. I would get one and either the right or left button would start breaking down in a matter of months. Eventually I would have to replace it. This cost me probably $39.99 plus tax per mouse minimum, sometimes more. So say $150 or more per year. A few years ago I read a review somewhere of the RAZER BASILISK version 2, which was an ALL OPTICAL SWITCH mouse. This means there are no mechanical switches (metal making contact with metal), just a light beam being interrupted. There is nothing to wear out. I ordered one and to be honest I loved it for a year. Then something happened. I saw a video on the differences between the multiple versions of the Basilisk. I then realized that the mouse I'd received did not look like the v2 in the video. I checked. I couldn't believe it. I'd ordered the v2, but they'd sent me the v1 with MECHANICAL switches. It was too late to return it. Not that I was complaining, I'd had it for a year and it was still working. But the mouse I was using for my laptop was giving me problems so I decided to order the v3 for my desktop and to transfer the v1 to my laptop. It's still there. I have been using the v3 on my desktop now for a year and a half. This November it will be 2 years. I have NEVER used a mouse this long. So the v3 gets top honors from me. As an aside a few months ago I was watching a Youtuber play Kerbal Space Program and he was complaining about his mouse and saying he'd need to get a new one before he made another vid. I messaged him and told him about the Basilisk line. The following Saturday he posted another video and mentioned that he'd gotten a new mouse. I messaged him again and asked if he'd looked at the Basilisk line? He told me that not only had he taken my suggestion to heart but he looked into it and went out to his local store to specifically buy the Basilisk V3. And that's what he did. Great mouse. I'm sure it won't last forever, but it's working magnificently and when it does go, I'll replace it with another optical switch mouse, possibly a Basilisk or whatever other line RAZER is offering at that point. But make sure that when you order a mouse that you GET THE MOUSE YOU ORDERED!!!!

Title: Incredible Customization & Comfort for Long Gaming Sessions!
Review: I’ve been using the Razer Basilisk V3 for a few months now, and it’s easily become my favorite gaming mouse. The ergonomics are spot on – it fits perfectly in my hand (I have a medium-sized hand) and feels comfortable even during extended gaming sessions. The textured grips on the sides make sure it doesn’t slip, even during intense moments. The standout feature for me is the 11 programmable buttons. I love customizing them for different games, from FPS to MMOs. The scroll wheel with adjustable resistance is also a game-changer; the smooth, free-spin option is perfect for quickly scrolling through inventory, while the tactile mode helps me switch weapons with precision. The RGB lighting is another highlight – it’s gorgeous and customizable with Razer Chroma. It adds a lot of personality to my setup. Performance-wise, the 26K DPI sensor is ultra-responsive, and I’ve noticed a real difference in accuracy and control.I had doubts about going wired again after using wireless mice for a while, but the Razer Speedflex cable is super lightweight and flexible, so it doesn’t get in the way. Plus, no worries about charging!Overall, the Razer Basilisk V3 hits the sweet spot for both casual and competitive gaming, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile, feature-rich mouse.

Title: Excellent mouse & features, software dependent
Review: I picked this up as a well-priced replacement for my Razor DeathAdder 2013 (which still worked), seeking additional features. It works fine out of the box, but the Synapse software is needed to really leverage the mouse's extra features.Having the throttle button is a huge help for games that require shifting from rapid panning to precision aim. Being able to sync different button mappings to different games lets me customize once and forget.I really like the ability to automatically switch the mouse wheel between tactile and free scrolling by flicking it rapidly, but that has to be turned on in Synapse. The included button that lets you switch between those two modes works fine without Synapse, but it was also the first button I remapped after enabling that feature.I should mention that the button remap includes the option for turbo, so you can save your finger (and your mouse) by setting up buttons to perform up to 20 clicks per second.

Title: Smooth...just smooth...
Review: For a couple of years now, I've been occasionally gaming with a cheap Reddragon wired mouse. Not going to complain. It did its job in respect to what I paid for it. But, it was never smooth. It always seemed like I was a click short, or a scroll away. Most recently, I started to notice that the mouse was more "jumpy" than usual and I was missing crucial moves or shots. I thought it might be the mouse pad surface, so tried the cheapest way out by replacing pads instead. It wasn't the solution. This new Razer Basilisk v3 mouse? Yeah...I think I may have the solution. Immediately upon installing, I could see a 100% improvement in basic Windows maneuvers. I'm not talking about gaming here. Just, your normal desktop operations. It was like night and day. Gotta go out and mow the lawn right now, but I'm definitely taking this new mouse for a few test runs when I am finished.
