Title: Seems like a good product!
Review: Like others said, our dogs seemed to notice the high pitch noise made by this device when powered on. I also could hear some of it, but not all of the signals. It also has red and clear lights that flash. All of this is perfect to ensure the most hostile environment for rodents to not make a home near this device, wherever you place it.It's too soon for me to say for certain if it works or not, but I will make an update to this review if we still have issues with rodents. If I don't make any new updates, you can be sure that this device seems to have been doing its job.We had issues with rodents getting into 3 of our cars' engine bays and making nests and chewing through wiring, causing lots of damage and cost to us. We've been spraying the engine bays and around the cars with essential oils that are said to be discouraging to rodents, but the issue has been the smells and the odors/stains to the cars. Also, it doesn't seem to be doing its job as the rodents are still nearby. With the sound made from this, I am sure this will help keep the rodents far away from our vehicles. Our dogs picked up this sound behind walls and closed doors many feet away and began reacting to the noise.I was pleasantly surprised that this device can be powered by 3 different ways depending on your preference, whether it be using the vehicle's battery bay and sharing the juice, connecting to a USB port, or using 4 AA batteries. We opted for AA batteries as we have lots available and it makes it much easier to choose a location without needing to worry about wires.A USB cable and a cable for the battery were included in the box with this device as well as 2 zip ties to tie the device down to a location as well as instructions.I was also impressed that a switch was included on the device so that you can manually turn on/off the device without needing the disconnect the cable/take apart the device to remove the batteries. My only issue with this so far is that it does seem that the lights and sounds can be audible and seen when in public which can be something you may not want in some areas. Maybe you don't want to draw attention to your car in a certain neighborhood or if you are doing something like at a drive-in theater, you don't want to be bothered by the sounds and lights. But the switch being included should help with this so it's not too much of a concern there. All in all, glad to have stumbled upon this and looking forward to the results which seem promising!

Title: Questionable
Review: I have never seen an item with the power switch flipped. Off is on, and On is off for this device. Aside from that, it sounds like it works well. No real rodent activity this time of year but I'll keep it going and see if it fails- in which case I will be back to adjust this review.

Title: I Hate Those Meeces To Pieces!
Review: RODENT REPELLERI ordered this device to proactively stop rodents from entering my motorhome. Mice can destroy wiring in your vehicle and the repairs could cost so much that the insurance company might total your vehicle. This is a very inexpensive safeguard to possibly save your vehicle from possible rodent damage. This is a plastic (size approx. 4.75" x 3.50" x 1..50") device that comes with instructions, 2 cords, one for connecting to 12 volt car battery and one for connecting to a USB charger. There are three ways to power this device, directly off the vehicle battery, from a USB power adapter and from AA batteries. The 31" 12 volt cord comes with an inline fuse holder and when you screw off the top you will find an uncommon glass type fuse. You receive only that one fuse and I think a common automotive plug-in fuse would have been a better choice. Hopefully you will never blow the fuse if you wire this device directly to the vehicle's battery.Powering it via the 32" USB cord is probably good in your home or garage. It can take 4 AA batteries that are not included. You remove the battery cover (3 tiny screws) with a very small Phillips screwdriver to access the battery compartment. Be careful that you do not drop and lose these very tiny screws. The AA batteries might last 45 days and an alarm will sound when the batteries get too low.If the vehicle battery gets too low then the device will sound an alarm. It will perform a self-check when you switch it on.While working it goes through 3 modes x three times during each cycle automatically:Mode 1 = Red lights flash, ultrasonic noise, white lights flash, pause (15 seconds)Mode 2 = Red lights flash, ultrasonic noise, white lights flash, pause (20 seconds)Mode 3 = Red lights flash, ultrasonic noise, white lights flash, pause (30 seconds)It goes through two cycles and then repeats. After the first cycle, the device will rest for 3 minutes and then begin the second cycle and then rest for 5 minutes. The everything will go back to zero and the cycles will begin again until the device is turned off.If the batteries get too low the device will stop functioning and sound an alarm to alert you that there is a problem.I cannot hear the Ultrasonic sounds, so I will have to hope that this feature does work. Only time will tell if it can keep rodents away. There is a warning.....DO NOT LET THIS DEVICE GET WET!I hope that permanently installing this in the engine compartment, per the instructions, will not harm this device since driving in the rain/snow there is moisture in the air.The instructions also suggest that if you turn the device off, remove the batteries to stop any drain on the batteries. It comes with 2 sticky pads and two 10" zipties. You are supposed to attach it to some metal pipe/bar in the engine compartment.I'll still have to figure out the best location in my engine bay as the weather gets colder and the rodents start looking harder for their winter home.

Title: Seems to work according to my dogs
Review: I recently incurred over $5000 in damages to my automobile as a result of ONE packrat that decided to move into my car and chew up all the wires. I have dogs and cats, so I was looking for a rodent control solution that doesn't include poison. I decided to try this ultrasonic gadget. This one is an improvement over many I have looked at, because it allows the user to power it in three different ways: battery, plug in, or car battery. My plan is to use it in the garage initially, then move it to my car. When I unboxed it, plugged it in and turned it on, there was immediate movement in my household. My dogs came to look, twist their ears around disapprovingly, and then they all left the room with their tails tucked and didn't return until I turned it off. Although all I detected was flashing lights, they heard it without a doubt. This gives me hope that it will work on rodents, but I'm a bit concerned it might drive my dogs buggy. Time will tell, but I'm relieved there might be something to drive the packrats away from my vehicles!
