Title: Works
Review: This is the mousetrap I remember from my youth. Bait it,set it and forget it. It does not miss fire. Quality construction but inexpensive enough to trash with the mouse. Will definitely purchase again.

Title: Work well. Mousies don't like 'em.
Review: These are the old stand-by since forever. They work well and are easy to adjust sensitivity. I do wish they'd crimp over the staples that hold the spring bar ends, on the underside of the trap, as when used in damp conditions the staples can tend to come loose. Think I'll try sealing the bottom of the traps that are used where they might get wet.

Title: Kills Mice Dead
Review: It's a mousetrap and it does the job. They stopped selling these plain ones near me and only sell the ones with the fake cheese pedal which are easier for the mouse to steal the bait from. If the trap isn't working for you, you're not baiting it properly or placing it properly. Victor has great instructions on their website about baiting and placement. Every once in a while I get a sneaky mouse who is able to steal the bait without setting it off, but I rebait it and get them the next time.

Title: What changed?
Review: These traps used to be much more sensitive and would frequently be tripped just by setting the trap on the floor. While this could be frustrating, the capture rate was very high. Now, I suspect that due to customer complaints, the trap is much more resistant to motion, and in my experience, the traps are frequently cleared of the bait without becoming tripped. I found that the use of a jeweler's file to remove the burr left on the metal shoulder, where the latch engages, significantly increases the capture rate. I wish Victor would return to the old manufacturing process.

Title: The best and made here in America.
Review: I have nothing against products made overseas, however, when it comes to the basic mouse trap, Victors of Litize , Pennsylania is the best, nothing made in China or elsewhere can top them. They are very affordable, especially, when buying in bulk. The mice in question in the area where i live are White-Footed Mice, known carriers of the Hanta Virus-which can be fatal. Having several outbuildings and even in my home basement being invaded by this species-left me with no alternative. I used to use a non lethal trap and relocate, but this was dirty and posed health risks, especially around senior citizen and child family members-Victors was the answer. Bear in mind, we throw no garbage out, not feed the birds, we have nothing that draws the rodents to our home-we have removed outside wood piles and such to reduce their being around-and yet they still came. The traps have put and big dent into their forays into our home.

Title: Do not work!
Review: I've used these specific traps for a very long time in the farmhouse I used to own, and they did the job. Haven't had a need the past few years until now. They no longer work. Clearly redesigned (maybe for safety) but the mechanism is no longer sensitive. All I am doing now if feeding the mice. The mice are grateful for the redesign. Forget these. The ones with the yellow tab are better now but much more expensive.

Title: Mouse eliminator!
Review: Itâs the standard old rat trap. Works every time. Just bait and set it. Best mouse trap around!
