Title: Very Effective for my Temporary Crowns
Review: Bought these to prevent any issues with two temporary crowns. Easy to use. Comfortable fit. Used throughout the day because it was easy to insert and remove as needed. At night, it stayed in place and was comfortable. The two guards held up well for the 3 weeks I used them.

Title: Perfect for teeth grinders. Durable and comfortable.
Review: This is my second purchase of these. I've gone through a few already. They last me about 7 months or longer. I have TMJ. I lock my jaw at night. I've gotten hairline fractures in several of my teeth because of the intense pressure of my locked jaw at night. These mouth guards are great! Slightly uncomfortable at first. It depends on your gums. I've included a video to explain. I love them. I continue to purchase them. No need to boil them to get them to fit. I also got the Efferdent package this time. Helps to keep it clean and fresh for the next use. I'm very happy with this item! I'll continue to purchase them and I've even recommended them to my dental office for other patients. It's so much cheaper than having a mold made of your teeth for a bite guard from them that may not last that long. The pressure of your bite is going to determine how often you go through this item. This is my 3rd one in almost 3 years. Great item for the price. 👍

Title: 4 stars if they work, but 3.5 or lower in my experience.
Review: I've also tried the SleepRight custom fit night guards and they threw my jaw out of alignment, not to mention made my jaw sore and gave it cuts. It came down to the bite pads just being too thick and the harsh abrasive material used on certain parts (mainly the pivots for the bite pads) - and I've tried all the sizes available in my desperate attempt to find something that didn't feel like a hockey puck in my mouth. Then I run across this one and so far.. 1 week in.. its been working great for me! I seriously don't even feel it in my mouth when I'm sleeping. I have read past reviews with concerns of people fearing they'll swallow it... but I haven't even come close to it so far. If anything, the other ones I've tried sloshed around my mouth more because the "wings" were irritating my mouth. These stayed exactly where they started from the beginning of the night to end. I'll see how they pass up on durability and write a review again maybe in 6 months. Great product as long as durability holds up (the package says each one should hold up to 6 months).Only thing I might suggest for this product is that it doesn't come with a carrying case. Every other night guard does... even their older model came with it. Luckily they fit perfectly in the case that came with my SleepRight ones.. ironically, even better than the SleepRights fit in there.PS: Make sure you get the ones with the blue bite pads. They have an older model and I've heard bad things about those.UPDATE: I ranked it down to 4 stars because upon further usage.. I notice a little discomfort on the bottom of my lower gums. Not too bad and still by far the most comfortable nightguards I've used yet.UPDATE 2: I've started wearing the guards upside down (having the groove cupping my upper teeth) and it has so far worked out better for me. I got this idea reading elsewhere from someone else doing the same. My gums have yet to get irritated like before and the nightguard stayed in place the whole night.UPDATE 3: It has been about 2 or 3 weeks since my last update and things are still working perfectly for me. I'm sleeping all the way through the night without being woken up by an uncomfortable mouth piece. So looks like I'll stick with this one. I'm sharing my experience with everyone because I've gone through so many other night guards just to end up spitting them out in the middle of the night just so I can get some sleep. If I can make someone else's decision easier, at least all my sleepless nights (and money down the chute) will not have gone in vain. The main negative thing I notice now.. the notches that keep the sizing in place.. one side seems to not stay in place. It might just be the specific one I'm using (the second pair I have in the package seems to not have this problem), but at the very least.. it hasn't been that big of a problem for me - but I can see it maybe being a problem for someone with a small mouth.UPDATE 4: So I've now been on my third of fourth pair and there is one glaring consistent issue that holds the product back... the night guard has trouble staying at the adjusted size. Hopefully DenTeck can figure out a fix to make the adjustment tabs more sturdy or perhaps change the system in how these guards adjust in size. Luckily, my mouth is nearly the size that these night guards loosen up to. Having said that, I've still yet to find a night guard that works for me as well as these do.UPDATE 5: On my 4th pair, due to the adjustment strap not holding its place, I chewed through one of the bite pads in 3 days (bite pad would not stay in place due to loose adjustment). It is now unusable so I have contacted Dentek about a replacement and on the issue of possibly designing future models with more secure adjustment straps. Its a shame that this product has this one glaring flaw. I'd knock this item down to 3.5 stars if I could, but don't want to give it a 3 since its served me well enough in the last 3 pairs.UPDATE 6: I have been switching back and forth from this and the SleepRight nightguards, both have their perks. This one is more comfortable without a doubt, but the other one is definitely more durable. I've learned to cope with the other ones by moving the bite pads to the forward-most position so my jaw doesn't have to open up as wide. It works, will still test new products as they come available as neither are perfect.

Title: Caused gum pain, and Amazon wont let me return even though it says it's eligible
Review: I thought this would be perfect for me to sleep in as I have a small mouth and didnt want a bulky night guard to uncomfortably sleep in. This guard seemed very slim and easy to use and it was. I fiddled around with positioning for a bit, trying a new "size" to more fine tune the fit and it was pretty good! Fit well, didnt fall out, was at first comfortable to wear. But after a few days I started to get rather sore gums, and even inside of my cheeks. Turns out the edges of the cushions that sit on your molars are not very rounded edges. They sit directly on my gum line at the bottom of my teeth and rub against it to the point that it's too painful to wear. It also seemed to be slightly cutting against the inside of my cheek to. It would be one thing if I felt this pain the first night as I could attribute it to needing to wear the item more to build up the comfortability, but it took a week of nightly wear before it started to get painful. I should clearly have been used to it by then.I cannot wear this anymore due to the pain it causes, and to top it off I cant return it Amazon gives me the option to start a return, but it will not let me complete it. It only offers a trouble shooting guide for the item and I cannot get past that part. This was a waste of money and I will have to throw the product away. Wouldnt suck as much if it was cheaper, but at $33 that's a lot to not be able to get anything back on.

Title: Doesn't fit as well as boil-and-bite, but less bulky
Review: Used the more common type where you heat and mold the plastic. That was much more comfortable to wear (nighttime jaw clenching). Unfortunately, after a month or two, that one irritated my tongue to the point where it was super sensitive. This style only has pads where you need then with a thin plastic strip in front so no tongue issues.Main problem is that the pads are flat so they don't really fit against the uneven surface of teeth. I can slide them and adjust them, but they never really feel comfortable. The side pieces that hold them in place rub against my gums a bit, and I sometimes wake up because I reflexively try to spit them out or chew on them. When they move around.I'll keep using for now to see if I get used to them, but I would love a variant where the sides are thinner and you can heat and mold the bite pads. That would be the best balance of both types I think.

Review: This is the best mouthguard I have used in the past 5 years (Dentek Comfort Fit). It is honestly a relief. I have tried half a dozen other types. I mostly clench not grind. I will update this review when I have more experience (used only twice so far). I hope below is a helpful summary of my experience so far.I would generally NOT recommend boil and bite mouthguards. Many of them are enormous and therefore very uncomfortable. Even in the case of thinner types, they do not necessarily apply pressure evenly across the teeth. I often woken up with pain on my front teeth or molars. Some can ride high on the gums and rub against them causing discomfort. Because they are made from a relatively soft material, they can engage the chew muscles, amplifying pressure on the teeth enormously. Not good. There are other types varieties similar to the Dentek Comfort Fit. I used the Plackers Grind No More for years. Unfortunately, they are made of a similar soft plastic material and can engage the chew muscles. Because they are not adjustable (like the Comfort Fit) they ended up applying pressure for years across a very specific set of molar teeth eventually causing pain there. I had to stop using them. The Comfort Fit seem to solve these three problems. They are very small and thin. The bite area is made of a harder material than the other options, and do not engage the bite down reflex. They are adjustable, so I am able to place the bite guard area exactly on the most teeth comfortable teeth. They seem a little expensive for what they are, but if they are comfortable and last a full year - it'll be worth it!

Review: I also read the reviews for this and other guards with dismay, as I urgently needed to counteract the pain from a new night-grinding habit, the ‘try not to; try to de-stress’ advice being useless as I don’t do it deliberately and I’m not stressed! (I have seen a dentist; it’s not anything else more serious.)Anyway, I found it very easy to fit; I just pushed the blue bits forward a little to suit my very ordinary mouth shape & size. It took hardly anything to get used to - they suggest wearing it for an hour before bedtime the first night - and I slept through without noticing it.And best of all… no jaw pain today!!! So it works!!!

Review: Die Schiene ist leider völlig unbrauchbar, da sie im Mund ständig verrutscht und sich nicht an das Gebiss richtig anpasst. Unmöglich, die ohne Brechreiz im Mund zu behalten oder gar zu schlafen. Absolut keine Kaufempfehlung!! Eigentlich Null-Sterne

Customers say

Customers are satisfied with the bulkiness of the mouth guard. However, some customers have reported that it sometimes irritates their gums and makes their jaw hurt worse. They also say it makes their bite feel strange and doesn't stay in place. Opinions are mixed on comfort, functionality, fit, durability, and value for money.
