It should have been a one-night stand.

I never intended to seduce Taushen, but things happened. I don't dwell on the past and while it was great, I'm not looking for a relationship. Of course, try telling that to Taushen. The big blue alien's in love after one night, and it's making things darn awkward. We've got bigger problems than whether or not I'm his woman, like the "cargo" of the spaceship that landed here.

But Taushen's not giving up. He thinks I'm his mate.

And he'll do anything to keep me.

Contains mature themes.

Title: Love the writing style
Review: Cozy Sci fi. Writing style reminds me of Lola Glass and Holly Roberds. Must read in order, not stand- alones.

Title: Yay! Finally!
Review: I love this series, and so I have waited patiently to see sweet happy Taushen find his girl. Even after sweet happy Taushen turned into bitter, withdrawn, edgy, lonely, Taushen. So nice to see him able to heal and be able to move forward finally. And so wonderful that he has started reverting back to his naturally happy personality.Brook was a little harder to love, but she grew on me. The best thing about Brook is that she is very real. I definitely know girls like her, and all girls have a little Brook in them. The worst thing about Brook is also that she is so real. She has some baggage and personality quirks that make fitting in and being happy on Not-Hoth Icehome a little harder for her for a little while. She has a very "human" perspective, and has trouble understanding that the Sa-Khui have a very different mentality. She is a girl who is very adept at playing human "games" of love. Resonance and how it affects how the Sa-Khui see love and relationships is very foreign. And because of her experiences both on Earth and as a slave, she has become little self centered and practical in a way that might seem cold to others. Brook is first and foremost a survivor. And she has learned that in survival situations if you cannot get what you need for yourself, the next step is to find a way to get those who have the skills and resources she does not, to give her what she needs. She feels vulnerable on her new world because she has none of the skills necessary to be self sufficient there. She has to rely on others for everything. Her automatic impulse to use her body and flirting to manipulate people into doing what she wants or getting her what she needs is one of those things she has learned to do in order to survive in the past, but it hinders her here among the Sa-Khui , when she is seen as callous and insincere by some. Also, Brook is one of those girls who doesn't always know what she wants. She is the queen of mixed signals. This is especially hard for Taushen who wants so badly to be seen as special by Brook. There are some real cultural misunderstandings between the two that keep them apart longer than necessary. However, I will say that when everyone is taken prisoner by the slavers, Brook was the only one who didn't lose it initially. She immediately began working at ways to keep families together and to keep them all alive in this worse case scenario. And she didn't hesitate to do things that were uncomfortable if it meant that she could make a better outcome. She is brave enough to do what needed to be done even if it meant that the others would think she was a traitor at first. And she was brave and clever enough to not give up information about those who had not been captured. She quickly figured out how to manipulate their captors. So we see the value in the skills Brook does have, even if they don't work in every situation. And I love how Taushen is the one to point out that being able to make people feel good about themselves, and listening to others when they are stressed, unhappy, or worried, is a good skill to have as well. Brook does contribute something valuable to the tribe. Taushen is also the only one who takes the time to teach her new skills that she very much wants to learn. In the end, Brook and Taushen find their way to each other. Brook especially begins to see things through new eyes. She realizes that Taushen really "sees" her. She takes the time finally to really try to get to know and understand Taushen, and that makes all the difference."Barbarian's Tease", is a great addition to the Ice Planet Series. Besides the central love story there are some huge new developments in the series that fans are not going to want to miss.

Title: Taushen & Brooke
Review: I didn’t know what to expect from this book, how it would go or what will be revealed. But what I got was an emotional roller coaster of going between “oh baby don’t do that.” To “oh my god my heart!” I love how this author brings it all out of me when I read her books. Especially when I go from laughing my butt off to crying like I’m watching a telenovella, it’s wild!Character breakdown;Brooke: I didn’t know what I was gonna get with her because I didn’t get to know her much in previous books but she was pretty cool. I hated how she treated Taushen at first though, I can understand her being constantly with the wrong guy and getting a little jaded but he didn’t deserve that. I did enjoy how spicy wild she was in the furs lol.Taushen: it sucked to see him first go from a lighthearted fun loving young adult to a cynical grumpy man. But I understood where it was coming from, I am glad that things worked out for him and Brooke. But this man frustrated the hell out of me, with his bad takes and jaded outlook, then feeling sympathy for him. And back again to “dude wtaf!” lol. But again glad it ended the way it did.Favorite quote: “Humans have a saying, you know. Home is where the heart is. I thought it was just silly nonsense until I met you. I love everything about you, Taushen, and I’m glad I’m here with you. Icehome really does feel like a home now. My home, because my heart is here.”I am fully intrigued on what will be with the new members and I can’t wait to read the icehome series, I am seriously thinking about going to read it now lol. I look forward to it, I also appreciate seeing more diversity in this group! And a dragon!! lol. Loved this book was so damn fun to read couldn’t stop reading, lots of emotions and laughter 9.5/10 ⭐️

Review: As Brooke and Taushen were held captive by alien slavers Brooke got a strong aphrodisiac from them and had wonderful sexual experiences with Taushen. Taushen thought she was his mate, but Brooke told him, it was just the drug and it was a one-nught-stand for her. Then they are freed by Warrek and Summer and now they have an awkward situation between them. As Rokan tells him, Brooke is going to resonate to somebody soon, Taushen steals her away, so they can be alone together in a cave ......I loved to read the book. Brooke is a tough selfmade woman, but in relationships she is very insecure. Ms. Dixon does a very good job about explaining Brookes and Taushens characters and how these influence the building of the relationship. Partly it's also humorous, because Taushen is so full of innocence and joy. I highly recommend this book.

Review: Another great addition to the series. Characters are always very believable. Never written to be "perfect people" but very real with 3D personalities. And as always a great HEA. Each book has its own full story but there is an overall story thread that runs through the whole series so the books are best read in order. Now for the hard part... waiting for the next book from this amazing author! I believe her next book is from her awesome dragon series. Can't wait!
