Title: SIMPLY A GREAT MOVIE TO WATCH
Review: Well, I will begin with saying, I live in South Korea and I am against labor union in Hyundai, Samsung, LG and all. They just keep protesting for more wages, sometimes going too far. But this movie has nothing to do with that. It's about the basic equal right we're talking about. The women from the company FORD CARS are working the same amount of work with men and they receive only a part of the wage that men receive. And look at the working place. It is pathetic. Sally Hawkins, a normal, nothing new woman stands up and becomes a leader of the union. It happens that way. she was not a talkative or something like well educated or even pretty or woman of the year or something. It just happen that way. She was just so mad at what is going on around and just can't stand anymore. Then all the women just look at her. They didn't know what to do. She just had this very heavy burden in her back from then on. She sacrifiesed her family to do so. Her husband, her children had to suffer. They had to do without mother since she was so busy. But when the husband sees her talking in front of the FORD big guys, he was just so proud of her. He almost cried.I first saw Sally Hawkins from the movie HAPPPY GO LUCKY. Her acting was kind of over the top since the director asked her to do so. In this movie she still had this attitude but a little moderate, she worked out beautifully. If there is any empty space, Bob Hoskins our great great actor always comes and filled that space with warm tender support. He acted as some kind of a manager who supports the woman's union. He advice them whenever something happens. He was raised by his mother who worked at the factory and he do know that her mother worked hard all her life and received the rediculous amount of money from the work.Anyway the movie ends with the happy ending. When they acieved the equal right, I felt like I gained something too.The music is also another pleasure. It's mostly Beatles kind of 60s trend. Some British, some maybe American. They are so nice to hear. I felt like going back to those years riding a timemachine. Sometimes UK movies are hard to listen since there is the accent but this one has no problem. This is a very well made drama that you should check out. I give it a 5/5.

Title: Just wonderful....at least we thought so!
Review: 5/29/14 I guess we watched this film about 2 weeks ago...right after Bob Hoskins passed away. I don't think either of us were expecting to like it as much as we did. It really was wonderful. It is difficult to rate a film because it really is just a matter of personal taste. As much as we liked it someone else has probably given the film a lousy review...although I really can't understand why. The acting was great....and baring in mind that this film is based on a true story it really is quite inspiring as these ladies really had a tremendous challenge...there is nothing corny or sappy about the film. I watched it with my fiance and he enjoyed it as much as I did so I would say it definitely is not just a film for women. To us, if for no other reason, this is a great human interest story which all can enjoy and find inspiration in the determination of a small group of people who sought to change an old and long out dated system...they had their work cut out for them and had no way to know after going through allot of difficulty & dead ends what their outcome would be. I've tried to pick my words carefully so I don't spoil the film for those who have not watched it yet. We highly recommend this film!

Title: Mom
Review: I loved this movie from the get-go. When I first saw the trailer, I told myself that this was going to be one of my all time favorites. Being raised by a single mother that worked in a Wrangler blue jeans factory during the day and washed UPS trucks by night, it made me realize that women are so very underrated and non-appreciated in the workplace. I was so very happy to see a movie about women fighting what is rightfully theirs. Equality on ever level in the workplace. This movie takes me back to my childhood and seeing Norma Rae for this first time. WELL DONE!!!!

Title: important history, engagingly presented
Review: I had no idea that equal pay for equal work began with 150 women in Dagenham and spread to Ford plants (and by default to other manufacturers) though the world. The speech that the lead character gives to the trade union conference begins so chatty and colloquially, but in a few words delivers a resounding impact to the mostly male audience. A brilliant film, wonderfully scripted, produced and acted. A shame it didn't get equal treatment in its distribution so that more people see it and understand the significance of the events. Buy this, or see it however you can, because it is worth it.

Title: A small treasure!
Review: I had never heard of this movie but I am very pleased that I decided to take a chance and buy it. It's a "Norma Rae" sort of story that is well acted and directed. That it is based on a true story made it even more interesting for me. Between the movies "Maudie" and "The Shape of Water" Sally Hawkins has had quite a year. "Made in Dagenham" is nice icing on the cake!

Title: A wonderful and genuine film well worth watching
Review: I will not make comparisons with another film or account; this is a truly British story and set in another time we can only imagine today. It is not simply a story of a single woman; it is a tale of the working class taking on unfair practices and principles. Yes in England there was a working class, of course nowadays everyone has abandoned that word, just like America everyone is middle class, working twice as long to pay down excessive debt – a wonderful and genuine film well worth watching.

Title: Amazing movie!
Review: Fantastic movie about the woman of Ford Motor Company who helped fight the huge gender pay gap in the 1960's. This should be required material in all high school text books. Women's rights are human rights. I loved seeing the power of their sacrifices for the cause of equal pay! Girl Power!

Review: The British cast is superlative, and Sally Hawkins is the crown jewel in this true tale of the female workers struggle to gain equal pay for work of equal value at Dagenham's Ford factory. Intelligent, slyly humorous, and at times heart-rending, this is a film to have in your library.
