As the ponies all prepare for another Hearth’s Warming, families come together to celebrate the big holiday. The Pie family arrives in Ponyville and Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow Dash are ready for the big day… but Princess Twilight Sparkle doesn’t have time to celebrate!
With her new school taking up her time and Shining Armor, Cadance and Baby Flurry Heart coming to visit, Twilight is behind on her to-do list. She hasn’t even begun to shop! Instead of one gift for every pony, they decide to do a Hearthswarming Helper and give just one gift to the pony whose cutie mark they pull out of Applejack’s hat.

By seeking help from their friends all over Equestria, the Mane 6 and Spike are each hoping to find the best gift ever. Title: Great for MLP fans!
Review: We live in the USA and have a multi-region DVD player, but if you live in the USA and do not have one, please note that this will not play in your standard DVD player. This is an episode of MLP that my daughter really wanted to own and it was not available to purchase in the US, so we bought it from the UK. It came in great shape and played great in our multi-region DVD player. Great addition to any MLP collection.

Title: Better than expected
Review: Considering that MLP just completed its 8th season and they've already done Christmas episodes, I wasn't sure how much energy they had for left for this. My worries were unnecessary as they really landed this one. The ponies have several story-lines as they search for Christmas presents, and each one has its own unique tone and message to it and the whole special works pretty well.

Review: Friendship is Magic is a series that had a strong start which appealed to people of all ages, as was the creator's intention, and developed into one of the largest fanbases ever. Sadly the quality has been declining in recent years, mostly due to the obvious attempts to push as much of the toyline as possible into the episodes.This special is a real step back though to the days where the show was at the top of its game. A nice christmas story with plenty of funny scenes and some heartwarming messages, there's really not a lot to dislike, be you an old fan or a newcomer.
