Title: mediocre story
Review: As far at the movie itself goes, this was not a horrible film but not anything memorable either. The movie is full of middle school drama, corny jokes, and absolutely nothing compelling in the story. The cheesy plot requires a massive amount of suspended belief from the viewer. The acting is decent but nothing spectacular.I was disappointed to see the movie gives a very negative portrayal of father figures and includes a HUGE amount of disrespect from the teenager, with either no negative consequences or *positive* consequences for the bad behaviors and bad attitude. The movie makes the father figures looks like they are jokes, and there isn't really much of a redeeming character arc for the teen.In addition, the subtitles on the movie are HORRIBLE. They are so blurry, it is almost impossible to read them in any language. I was happy to see that the DVD included French language options since the movie is loosely based on a Jules Verne novel, but the subtitles were worthless because of the blurry font.

Review: Briefly - Excellent picture, sound and subtitles. A really good fun film for all the family. Humour, excirement, tension and terrific CGI. It's daft of course, but great fun like it's predessessor (sic?). Recomended.

Review: Jules Verne ist immer noch für schöne Filmgeschichten gut. Die Ausstattung und technische Perfektion der Tricktechnik ist beeindruckend. Die Schauspieler passen meiner Meinung nach durchweg dorthin und tragen viel zum entspannenden Gesamtbild des Films bei.Etwas geärgert habe zumindest ich mich über die "halsbrecherischen" Actioneffekte gegen Ende des Films, wo die Crew X Male immer wieder gerade so einer Katastrophe entgeht. Der Film hätte solcherart Action gar nicht mehr bedurft und es schränkt das Prädikat "Für die ganze Familie" etwas ein. Es ist nicht schlimm, da ja alles gut geht, doch die Oma in der Sofaecke kommt dabei wahrscheinlich nicht mehr mit. Und mir war es halt auch zu viel des Guten, so etwas erwarte ich eher in Schwarzenegger-Filmen.Dennoch empfehlenswert und ich gebe gerne die fünf Sterne.
