Title: Cleans my clothes better than expected
Review: I have been using this product on my laundry since February, and I am so pleased with how it is working. Because I launder almost exclusively with cold water, I used a recipe found at the My Plastic Free Life blog to make a liquid soap (so easy - boil water, remove from heat, and steep some soap nuts overnight; strain, and store liquid in refrigerator). Other major advantages of making liquid soap: no worries about berries falling out of the laundry bag, nothing to leave marks on clothes, I will never accidentally throw the berry bag in the dryer, and no need to figure out when the berries need to be replaced.I actually like the slightly vinegar smell of my liquid soap, so I did not add any scent to it, but I do typically use a scented fabric softener and dryer sheets alongside my soap nuts concoction. What I found remarkable after the first wash was that my clothes had a neutral clean scent, they felt well-conditioned, and even my stinky running clothes (the ones that would stink even after a wash with Tide, so badly that they needed to be bleached periodically) were coming out smelling fresh.Because the berries are de-seeded, you will see in my picture that most of them have broken into half-berries. This has not been a concern for me because their sizes are pretty consistent; I can reliably count two pieces as one berry.I am also pleased with what a great value this is. My small household averages about two loads of laundry per week, so I make small batches of liquid soap every couple of weeks. There are so many soap berries in the box that I haven't even used half of them in the past four months. I am looking forward to many more months of not having to buy laundry soap.EDIT: after a few more months of using the soap nuts, and couple of opportunities to launder some exceptionally soiled rags I had used to wash my car (which may have required a few washes regardless of the soap I was using), I have decided to use a traditional laundry detergent every once in a while as a back-up. So, I'm still pleased with the soap nuts and using them most of the time, but maybe once every month or so I'll run a load using something else, and that system seems to be working well for me.

Title: Softer clothes, better skin, cost-saving and environmentally friendly - a win for all!
Review: I was skeptical of using soapberries to wash laundry, but after testing it out for a month I'm a believer! The delivery comes with a box of soapberries and a small bag, along with instructions for use. Immediately I noticed my clothes were softer out of the dryer, and my skin has improved as well -- less breakouts and irritation. The scent is subtle but I add a squirt of Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap to the wash and a scoop of Nellie's laundry soda for good measure. I have accidently dried the bag of soapberries along with my clothes, which reduces how often you can reuse them, but they're still good for 5-6 more washes and it does not discolor the clothes in the dryer. I know this will save me money in the long term, is better for the environment and is a great solution for sensitive skin.

Title: Effective for washing everyday items
Review: Pros: natural, very light clean scent, effective at removing normal amounts of dirt/body oilCons: may leave a washable brown mark if soapnut washing bag left wet on light colored clothes for a longer period of time, does not completely remove excessive amounts of ground in dirt/grass, does not remove stainsOverall, good at cleaning normal levels of soil from normal wear. My kids get dirty from the playground and it doesn't completely remove the ground in dirt, which I'm OK with - to lessen the impact on the environment (instead of using detergents and bleach). Plus, I'm too busy (or lazy) to pretreat with a soapberry water solution.I try to remove clothes from washer once the cycle is done as I have noticed brown spots on lighter clothing when left with the wet soapberry wash bag too long. These spots are removable with another wash and some oxygen bleach. The wash bag provided fell apart after about one month. I just used an old cotton sock and tied it at the end and that seems to work just fine.
