Title: This is a classic and still is fun
Review: This game is fire!! It had the Super Sonics in the game with Durant! Does not get much cooler than that! Also, gameplay is comprable to that of newer 2k's. I would highly recommend.

Title: MAJOR disappointment from a long time fan
Review: I've been an NBA 2K fan since 2K3. Up until 2K6, it was THE BEST basketball franchise out there, hands down, no doubt. I was a huuuuge fan of 2K series until 2K7. In 2K7, they had a big problem with the online play on Xbox Live (framerate issue, that 2K tried to avoid fixing even after many people complained to them) which was just a horrible disappointment to everyone. well, it's a new season now and a new game from the 2K series. So I was expecting so much from 2K8. but what do I get from 2K8? so-so graphics, horrible menu navigation (again), ugly menus/font, no detailed custom match options, and most importantly, mediocre gameplay. the gameplay has a huge flaw that every video game review site has mentioned. TOO MANY MISSED EASY LAY UPS/DUNKS. you could be almost wide open under the basket and Yao Ming would miss a point blank shot, or you could be blocked by the RIM even when you're OPEN! are you kidding me 2K? are you serious? jeez. I'm so disappointed at 2K sports, I'm even thinking about boycotting 2K games from now on. this is just a huge 'screw you' to all the loyal NBA 2K lovers. there's other glitches and flaws also. such as when you get double teamed, you ALWAYS (100%) lose the ball or have to do a jump ball. it's just seriously a joke. this is not even funny. I don't know how much I can emphasize more to tell everyone not to buy this game. and this is coming from a former HUGE NBA 2K fan. all my friends say the same thing. they are so frustrated with this game. they started hating 2K sports... i feel the same way. new players might like this game but people who have played this game for a while, I'm sure they are disappointed. I just can't describe how sad and angry I feel about this stupid game. please don't buy, rent first. trust me.
