Title: A Neat Device, But Have Realistic Expectations
Review: The AICE Lite is a well built piece of kit. It feels weighty and solid. No creaky plastic here. The display is crisp , simple and well designed. The packaging provides a nice unboxing experience and a nice presentation, with a die cut inner flap that reveals the device while also pointing out controls and vents. It all feels of quality and a premium experience. The box contains the neck cooler and a charge cord. No charge brick, no instructions.Full disclosure, I’m a fat guy living in South Florida. Worse, I work in a non air conditioned warehouse in Miami. It’s hot. It’s uncomfortable. You can understand why I wanted to try the AICE Lite. So does wearing this keep me cool at work? Well, no. But it helps. In extreme situations like mine, it won’t keep you cool, but will help somewhat. Maybe Ranvoo can make some companion devices. Maybe this device combined with an air-conditioned hat, underwear and shoes would keep me comfortable. ;-)In the morning, while temperatures are in the low 80s, the AICE Lite feels cold and refreshing. But in the afternoon when the temps climb to the upper 80’s and 90s, the unit is overwhelmed. I’ve read reviews that say that the cooling plates get warm under these conditions. That is how it feels, but the unit is still cooling. If you turn the unit off, you’ll quickly find that you were being cooled. In really hot situations, you’re still going to sweat. So if your plan was to use this to keep you cool and fresh while you’re walking around Disney World in August, well….I’ll still use the AICE Lite at work during the hottest months. But the real surprise is how useful it’s been around the house. It quickly cools you down when you get hot doing chores or after a hot shower. It’s great if you’re standing over a hot stove. As I write this, I’m using it for soothing heat around my sore neck.There are 4 modes: cooling, heating, fan only and an AI mode. The AI mode is a thermostat mode that works like any other thermostat you have. The AI mode is the mode to use, in my opinion. I found I could use it as a set-and-forget mode that kept me comfortable without freezing my neck. No constant fiddling. At my work during the morning, it cycled on and off as needed but by the afternoon it ran fast and constantly, trying to keep up.The battery lasted me three and a half hours on AI mode. So to cover an eight hour day, I needed to connect it to a power brick I carried in my pocket.One of my concerns was whether I would look silly wearing a neck air-conditioner. What I’ve found is that almost everyone ignores it, much as they would a pair of headphones resting around your neck.The AICE Lite is easy to operate by itself, but pairing it with the free Metaura app adds some functionality. This includes being able to make adjustments while you’re wearing the unit and can’t see the unit’s display. While you have simple low, medium, high settings on the unit, you don’t on the app. The app instead has you set a temperature. The app also gives you a low power mode, a silent mode, a cooling first mode and a hot pack mode. The trouble is that there are no instructions for the app. And I don’t see a difference between the heat mode and the hot pack mode. Same thing with the cooling first and cooling modes.A few things I think I have figured out: The low power mode seems to reduce power to the cooling/heating plates. The quiet mode just reduces the fan speed. The app displays the ambient temperature. This is often higher than the room temperature when the unit is sitting on you. When the app is connected, you can’t turn the unit off with its power button. Instead it goes into a sort of standby that’s shown by a pulsing power light. You have to use the app to turn it completely off.So my wish list for this neck A/C is full instructions for the app explaining the more obscure settings. I’d also like some raised bumps on the physical buttons to make them easier to use by touch. And I’d like a gentle spring to help keep the units arms in contact with the side of my neck.Wish list aside, I’m glad I bought the AICE Lite. I had imagined a total solution for my hot working conditions. It’s not, but it does help, while also being surprisingly useful around the house and car. If you have realistic expectations, I recommend the AICE Lite.

Title: Great cooling unit neck fan 5/5
Review: Most importantly it does what it says it does. Solid neck fan with great cooling plates and lots of settings to customize ur heating/cooling. Don’t expecting miracles in the blazing hot sun, but if you’re looking for a device that will cool your neck and keep the air moving around your face I found this fan to be exactly what I was looking for. The cooling and heating plates worked well and can be used year round. Fans kept air moving nicely past my neck onto the sides of my face and placement around the neck was good. Maybe would be nice to have  a vent further down on the band so that air hits the front of my face a bit more but that might be a personal preference. A whisper quiet mode that optimizes for less noise in quiet environments would be nice as a feature request but I found the fan to be pretty quiet on its lowest mode if needed. Downward neck fan for the back was also a really nice touch. Could be a bit stronger for that back fan but still good if u tuck it under ur collar. I find the AI mode particularly useful so that it adjusts without me thinking about it based on ambient temperature and helps save battery rather than me just running it on max all the time. I found the app very easy to use and let u dial in the settings more exactly than the buttons on the unit. A battery percentage rather than bar indicators would be appreciated either on device display or on the app but the bar indicators are still useful. I also like that most adjustments can be made directly on the device using its buttons if needed rather than having to use the app every time. That’s great for quick adjustments on the go. The Bluetooth connected very quickly but I do wonder if someone else nearby would also be able to connect to my unit if they wanted to. A paring process may be good but would also slow down the connection. If you own multiple devices, you can connect them all to the app and see them displayed in ur device list. One request would be a way to name the devices in the app so u can keep them straight especially if multiple members of the household are using multiple devices. Also I love that u can turn off the indicator lights as they are bright in dark environments like a dark bedroom or shows or outdoor evening events and could be too bright for nearby people. It would be nice if u had the option to turn off the screen as well for times like this. Maybe that will come in a software update. Still though, the indicator light is much brighter than the screen and ur able to turn that off in the app which is nice. Lastly, a case (ideally hard shell) or at least a carrying pouch is desperately needed for this product. It’s well built but it seems like the weakest point will be where it hinges (hoping it doesn’t break) and I would feel much more comfortable if I had a safe way to transport it especially while traveling. Right now using my own pouches and am looking at possible headphone cases but don’t know how well it would fit.Outside of the few additional feature requests and the need for a carrying case it doesn’t change the fact that the aice lite itself is extremely well executed with excellent build and features at a great price point. I used this in 80+ degree F. weather and it definitely kept the air moving around me and the cooling plates felt like a cold damp rag on my deck which was very nice. It’s not going to magically cool your whole body in direct 100+ F sun so still try to keep to the device out of direct sunlight with a hat or a collar if it’s blazing but if ur stuck in a hot plane, a car, at a theme park or something like that, this will be a nice way to take the edge off. Was really nice to have a device that actually cooled the neck and cooled the air it’s blowing rather than just moving hot air around. So far really happy with it.

Review: I had never heard of such a device before, but I am glad I pulled the trigger and bought the Ranvoo AICE LITE.Right out of the box you can tell this product is high quality and solidly built. It’s also surprisingly lightweight when you place it around your neck like a horseshoe.Even before you turn it on, the ceramic feeling plates have a natural cool touch to them. Once activated, those same plates take only a few seconds to immediately start cooling and you can feel it along the full sides of your neck (from front to back) plus at the back of your neck at the top of your spine. The cooling plates can get quite cold to the touch depending on how low you dial in the temperature.The fans along the side and back of the device help to push the cold air up around the sides of your neck and bottom of your ears while the fans at the back help push the air down the top of your spine and back. I only wish that those fans at the back were a bit stronger to really blow down strong underneath your shirt. You can also use the device with the fan only activated and no cooling, but the entire point of this product is to activate those cooling plates and get the full experience. Even on the highest setting, the noise level of the fans isn’t loud enough where you still can’t easily hear conversations and sounds around you.Of course, the colder you turn down the temperature and the higher the speed of the fans eats into the battery life, but overall, the battery life is pretty decent and can be charged fairly fast if you use a fast charging phone/tablet brick when you plug it into the wall.In the box a charging cable is indeed included (USB C to USB A), but not the charging wall brick. I also wish a carrying pouch or hard protective case was included in the box, but I understand this was likely done to keep costs lower. I was able to find a cheap headphone hard zipper carrying case on Amazon that fit the AICE LITE well.This device also has a heating function which I briefly tried, and just like the cooling function, those plates get warm within seconds. Of interest, I don’t believe you can activate the fans at the same time while the heat function is turned on. There is also an “A.I.” mode which measures the ambient temperature around you and adjusts the plate cooling levels up and down to reach your target temperature that you set.It’s important to download the app to get the most out of this device. In the app you can specify exact temperatures between a range of 16 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius and you also have a slider to manually adjust the fan speed beyond the default 3 speeds using the +/- buttons on the unit itself. There are some other interesting modes in the app as well and you can also upgrade the device firmware.Lastly, the device is pretty secure (but not tight thanks to the adjustable hinge) when placed around your neck. I don’t feel like it’s ever going to fall off while walking around and doing normal regular activities and chores, but I would probably avoid something like biking or jogging while trying to wear this.Overall, I am very happy so far with the Ranvoo AICE LITE and I look forward to using it this hot summer. It actually does what it says and I was quite surprised and pleased by that.

Review: I love this! Cooling plates can get extremely cold, just make sure you adjust them in the app. For those of you who are wondering, the cooling plates cool down & it also blows cold air. It feels just as if you’ve put a cold towel around your neck which also happens to generate a soft cool breeze.I live in the UAE and it’s extremely hot here throughout the year, this has made life a little more bearable whenever I’m outdoors or inside a hot area (parking garage, mall, airport, etc..). Just don’t get this with super high expectations, if you’re out in the scorching heat it won’t magically transport you to the north pole, it just makes it a lot more bearable.I’m literally recommending this to everyone I know, just buy it and don’t think twice

Review: I typically don't do reviews but I do have to say that I was surprised to find out that the AICE LITE did more than advertised. We are living in this world that is sadly changing with global warming. Summers are just beyond hot. I think this is the norm. So I am trying to cut down my trips to using public transit, bike rides or walk. However, I am having a hard time getting around. It's fine in the morning but once the day progresses, I often regret that I'm not sitting in my car. During Prime day, I accidentally came across the AICE LITE, and it is a great eye opening experience of what this thing could do. Ok, it could get a little loud in a quiet room, but I have noise cancelling buds that solve that problem if the noise bothers me. Outdoors, I hardly hear it. Boy, did it solves the heat problem. Not sure how it handles 40+ C heat but it surely helped me in these situations where I don't want to be outside. I haven't figure out how to optimize all the functions, but I found out today that I could connect it to my portable power pack and extend the operating time pretty much 12+ hours on max cooling and fan speed. I don't have to conserve the battery. I went on a hike today and at the end of it, I sweated less, felt quite less tired and did not get overheated or took as many breaks as I normally do.So, this is the bonus.I've been getting some cervical neck issues in the last few years from an old accident. I've been told that I have developed some arthritis in the area.So tonight after dinner and shower, I decided to use the heat function on the troubled area and while watching tv, my 60 years old neck felt ZERO pain. I am not sure how but maybe that heat mode on this device once strategically placed in the troubled area, loosened up and promoted more blood flow. I don't know but I'm going to try this for the next few days. I bought this item for my daily outdoor activities but somehow I lucked out in discovering the hidden side of its function. I'll put an update if there is any negative issues in the future. I'm just excited to share this information.
