Title: A must have for the family cook.
Review: I have been getting TASTE OF HOME Magazines for years. I loved that the recipes were tried and true by cooks all across America with nice stories about every recipe. This is important to me because I am not a professional chef and cannot dedicate 2 hours in the kitchen to cook a meal that has 20 ingredients in it. I need recipes that are made from and for people like me. Imagine my pleasure at finding out they compile the years recipes in their magazines in beautiful hard-bound books. The quality of the books are really nice, the pages glossy which helps if you accidently splatter while cooking. There has also never been a recipe I've tried that I havent liked. Now I no longer get the magazines, I just buy the books at the end of the year. A REAL storage saver! Also, the recipes are easily laid out in sections such as "appetizers" "desserts" "sides" etc. which makes everything easy to find. The photos are also mouthwatering and colorful.

Title: Good Recipes
Review: Great recipes like Chicken and Dumpling Casserole, Turkey with Sausage stuffing, Cheddary Chicken Potpie, Perfect Pot Roast, Herbed Beef Stew, Barbecued Brisket, Standing Rib Roast, Old Fashioned Cabbage Rolls, Salisbury Steak Deluxe. These are the type of classic recipes I grew up with! I cooked corned beef brisket that has cabbage in it, I have never cooked a corned beef brisket before myself but my husbands mother used to cook it. It turned out really good. I am 50, so I can remember some of the old time recipes. (can't believe I would ever be saying that) ;')The recipes have ingredients that are easy to find at the grocery store too. Some of the recipes in the desert section I have not made or seen before but they sound good and look easy. They have a Rhubarb Upside-Down Cake. Which sounds good.

Title: Taste of Home: Grandma's Favorites - WOW what a Great Cookbook!
Review: Rodale Press, Taste of Home never ceases to amaze me. I purchased this book new, and it was not inexpensive! But it is SO worth the price! It's a large book of recipes, replete with color photos for every recipe, and the recipes are wonderful! I gave this book as a gift to a granddaughter who is starting out in married life. She admitted that she doesn't like using cookbooks that lack photos of the finished dish. She was thrilled with this cookbook, and even her husband liked looking at it. I'm thinking that I need to get another one for myself! It's just too good to give away!

Title: Not what I ordered
Review: This book is used and I purchased a new one. It smells and is definitely not new. I would like to return it and get a new one. Very unhappy with this purchase

Title:
Review: I ordered this book from the library several times before I decided that I really needed my own copy. I don't like cooking and I don't use cookbooks often, but this is one that has yummy, "doable" pictures. Currently I am using it to help teach my teenage sons to cook. They like that fact there a colour photos for over half the recipes. They can choose to cook something that "looks good". This recipe book is definitely a keeper!
