King, who both played and produced.WHO'S WHO:B.B.'s band included James Bolden, trumpet; Stanley Abernathy, trumpet; Calep Emphrey, drums; Melvin Jackson, sax; Leon Warren, guitar; Michael Doster, bass; and James Sells Toney, keys.CUTS:Songs include Please Come home for Christmas, Back Door Santa, I'll be home for Christmas, Auld Lang Syne, and two songs written by B.B.: Christmas Celebration and Christmas Love.FIDELITY:The fidelity on this remaster is OK, but the liner notes are Spartan. DJ's note: I could not find the times of the cuts.RECOMMENDATIONS:One of the highlights of my life was jamming with B.B. King's band members who stopped in the Student Union while I was in school. We must have played for an hour. Wow!I enjoy this album and so will you. Title: The Gift of Christmas Musical Genius, Past, Present and Future.
Review: Christmas of 2014 presented reasons for me to revisit past Christmases thinking of so many that have gone on to better places and this album captured some of the wonderful music, selected by the elders, that I heard while we talked, ate and did things as an extended family with friends and neighbors that were family too. This is great music to include in the good old times that are today and music that someone will look back on and talk about or think of the good times they remember when we were listening to music streaming to blue-tooth enabled AV receivers and speakers while they enjoyed conversation and meals with family and friends; and then take up the mantle to keep this great music alive in the next generation.We have always listened to a wide variety of popular, classical and classic Christmas and Holiday Season selections, and I value them greatly. However, this group of Blues and R&B Christmas selections and a few others I found represent such great material, both music and lyric, and great performances that I feel my horizons on great Holiday music have been superbly expanded. If you don't know about these gems, you are missing a large piece of American music history that is both enjoyable and entertaining.

Title: Great music with outstanding audio quality
Review: Every year I like to buy at least one new Christmas album to add to my collection. I already own several blues Christmas albums, but when I saw this one by B.B. King I had to buy it. And, man, am I glad I did. It is a great collection of Christmas songs with a few instrumentals mixed in. The contributing band members are top notch, the production quality and audio quality are outstanding. Fans of B.B King will want this album for their collection, but even those who aren't big fans of the blues should enjoy this music. It has quickly become one of my favorite Christmas albums.
