Title: A good view of bob dylan 70's
Review: The idea of compilling bob dylan by decade in the playlist series is very good indeed. The concept of each cd in the serie (the very best of the 60's is very good too) is cleaver : choice of tracks that aren't to obvious (One More Cup Of Coffee, Watching The River Flow) and non chronogical tracklisting make for a new listening experience even for old time Dylan fans. And the choice of the alternate and uptempo Forever young is tremendous. Often, as is the case for a compilation such as the essential Bob Dylan, the 70's tracks seems a bit sad alltogether. In this CD, they are cool. Can't wait for the very best of the 80's and the 90's !

Title: The ultimate writer
Review: The songs on this compilation come off of 12 different albums, a greatest hits II, and a single release. Twelve different Bob Dylan albums, that's just a little bit of ground covered here, ey? Hurricane, Changing of the Guards, Gotta Serve Somebody, Tangled up in Blue, Knockin on Heavens Door, and Forever Young, are some of the better known songs. Immerse yourself in Dylan.

Title: Excellent bargain-priced '70s Dylan retrospective
Review: One of my favorite Bob Dylan compilations. I've given copies to my teenage nieces and nephews over the years, as a kind of music education boost. Most, but not all, of them have really appreciated the gift of music, especially Uncle Bobby's. At 14 tracks, obviously every '70s LP can't be represented, but those that are truly shine. Forever Young. Knockin' on Heaven's Door. Tangled Up in Blue. Gotta Serve Somebody. Hurricane. And highlight after highlight, well-known to relatively obscure. A terrific collection for the neophyte, and a strong jolt of musical memory for both the casual and longtime Dylan fan. Four stars and highly recommended, especially to Dylan novices.
