Title: Every Song is Great!
Review: Chicago is the second best selling American rock & roll band of all time according to Billboard Magazine, second only to The Eagles. Every song is great and every song is a hit. Chicago IX - Greatest Hits, is this band at their true peak with all of their original founding members.

Title: Chicago's popular period
Review: Chicago's Greatest Hits were really good in the early days. They were NOTHING like the power ballad commercial soft rock band most people know Chicago for today. A much more pop oriented rock band with horn jams and guitar workouts dominating their style in the early days. However, they also had many hit songs that work as pop songs, and this album does an excellent job capturing the more popular moments of the early days. NOT the only Chicago album you need (you really need to pick up the first three regular studio albums- all double albums) but the one that does the best job giving you the hits and avoiding the power ballad love songs of the later years.

Title: Not authentic sounding.
Review: Not what I expected; not a complete Greatest Hits album. Is a redu from non-Chicago artists it sounds like. Sounds like a recording made using a cell phone in a bar. Not even stereo, vocals overwhelmed by intrumentals. Terrible. So bad of a recording that I am removing it from my Kindles. I would give it a 1/2 star rating if this app allowed it.

Title: Excellent and important
Review: For fans of Chicago, this album is a real treasure, unless you ENJOY slogging through some of the "experimental" stuff (fillers) on their early albums. These guys were talented from the get-go, and their early hits are classics, well-represented on this CD (and Volume 2, which you also need!).
