Jackson Crow and his wife, Angela Hawkins, seldom leave the office for a vacation, much less at Christmas, when many of their agents are out in the field. But this year, Jackson wants to spend the holiday away, at an historic home in Virginia that he wants to buy--even if it is too far for them to commute to work each morning. Jackson is determined on getting the house, built for a relative on specs created by none other than Thomas Jefferson.
Angela knows the house; they had been there last Christmas for the wedding of Brodie and Dakota McFadden , but she is worried about leaving the D.C. area--just in case someone needs help on a case.
However, she has a special present for him this year, and after some thought, she decides this trip Jackson wants might just provide the perfect place for her to give it to him.
But over this holiday season, the house will prove to bring them far more than brick and stone...a present is awaiting them both that they'd never begun to imagine. It just might prove to be the best Christmas ever.

Title: Best story ever
Review: I have come to really love these short stories, even though I have been reading them out of order. I theme read and so have read all over but am glad I finally got back to the beginning of at least one thing, how Corby came into the lives of Jackson and Angela.Jackson Crow and Angela Hawkins are partners both at work and off, who rarely leave the office for vacation, not even usually for Christmas, especially with agents in the field. This year however Jackson wants to spend the holidays at a historic house in Virginia that he hopes to buy. Having spent time there the previous Christmas, Angela has no problem. She has something special for Jackson this year and fate has something special them both as they go away for something other than work for once. This is a sweet, some might say sugary story about what makes Christmas truly special. It hit all the right notes with me and that is something because I do not like a lot sentiment most times but these characters pull me in every time and I always look for more with them at least in the periphery.

Title: A perfect Christmas
Review: Jackson and Angela are mentioned in almost every book, but it is rare to see them take the main role in the more recent books, so to have a whole short story focus on them was fantastic. They return to a previous home that starred in another novella and have a Christmas for the books. I wondered if we would ever get the presidential ghost and I am tickled over how it played out. The president was eloquent and kind, but also addressed some of the concerns people had about his words and actions relating to slavery in law versus his homes and relationships. The addition of a child and how the town members were on the holidays was precious. Adam got a huge gift and it made me happy for himâ¤ï¸Overall this is a quick and sweet read without crime and full of holiday joy and love.

Title: Love
Review: Wonderful story of love and acceptance. It seems Christmas brings these feelings out more than any other time and having a ghost there to help clear some of those feelings is not so bad either. You ever wanted to speak to someone from the past? I have.
