Award winning kisses only, sweet romance.

My best friend’s annoying brother, some spilled tea, and a crazy proposition.

Josh Owens is the top receiver in the NFL, with a bad boy reputation. He’s click bait fodder for any, and all, gossip columns.

A released video shows us “kissing”, and the news is spreading like wildfire.
Now me, "good girl" Brie, is in the rumor mills with him.

His agent sees this as a golden opportunity for Josh to get on better terms with his team.
I think it’s crazy, but Josh needs help.

In spite of our love-hate relationship, I agree to be his “girlfriend”.

Spending time with him, I get to know the real person, not just the one who’s constantly pushing my buttons.

I can’t deny that I don’t hate him.
In fact, I like him.
A lot.

As fake kisses feel more real, Josh brings up making "us" a reality.

Only one problem.
When my parents died, my heart went on lock down.

Can the bane of my existence be the one who’s had the key all along?

This is a sweet, kisses only, best friend's brother, forced proximity, enemies to lovers, opposites attract, slow burn, and happily ever after. Let yourself get swept up with Josh and Brie! I hope you fall in love with the two of them and are left wanting more! This book is a standalone.

Title: great book, poor grammar
Review: My pet peeve is when someone uses “I” incorrectly, and this author does it continuously. Story is cute, so I kept going, but it was annoying everytime I’d read “they were talking about Brie and I” instead of the correct “the were talking about Brie and me”.I don’t know how editing doesn’t catch this either. Please use it correctly. If you wouldn’t say “they were talking about I” then you don’t say it when adding another person. 🤦‍♀️

Title: Very cute sweet romance
Review: 3 Stars.🏈 The vibes:- dual pov- Football- Closed door- Best friend’s brother- Sweet romance- Quick read🏈 My thoughts:This was a really quick romcom. I thought Josh and Brie were very sweet together. It very much reminded me of the Cheat Sheet. There were moments where I did feel like the characters were in high school rather than adults. The element of the Gossip Girl type gossip site added to that young feel; and the characters across the board felt a bit young for their age/careers but it was still a cute romance overall.🏈 I liked Josh and Brie and their characters had a lot of elements that I enjoyed, but I just wished to see a little bit more depth with both of them and their relationship together.🏈 One element that I couldn’t quite connect with was Josh being a “bad boy” and Brie being a “good girl”. It was expressed a lot that these are the roles of the characters, but I don’t exactly understand why. More so with Brie than Josh - as we did hear that he had a temper on the field but otherwise he seemed like a super chill happy go lucky dude, so I didn’t get the impression of him having a bad reputation. Not a huge deal, it just didn’t fit his overall vibe for me.🏈 If you’re looking for a sweet, closed door rom com with a friends to lovers feeling in the setting of a drama, gossipy town- you might enjoy this one!Release date: May 10.Thank you so much to Abby Greyson and NetGalley for the gifted copy.

Title: All of my Fav tropes in the same story!
Review: This book had a little bit of everything: football, witty banter, best friend's older brother, fake dating, falling for one of your best childhood friends, and the story of someone moving forward from unimaginable grief. It's also 1st person dual POV. with only sweet kisses. I loved all of the characters in this book, from Brie and Josh to the side characters who have known they belonged together since they were kids. I really liked this book & recommend it. Here's hoping we get more books with Josh's teammate's stories.

Title: Not really enemies to lovers. More like friends to lovers.
Review: Brie and Josh have teasing relationship, but not an enemy one. I did like seeing them give their relationship a chance and keep some of the teasing, but also let the other person know you have their back. I liked the pacing. I do want to know who Chamie is? I have a theory. I will read more by this author.

Review: If you've read any of my other recent book reviews, you'll already know how this first paragraph always starts, right? If this is the first review you've read of mine, I always start them off by saying that each book starts off with the full team-load of 5 stars and that I'm always hopeful that they will all still be firmly in place by the time I close the back cover. You'll also know that I'm not shy about removing stars if necessary, but I always give my reasons for taking each one off - they don't just vanish into thin air. This is, by the looks of the front cover a teen book and it promises to be a RomCom which is always a tough nut to crack for me... the romance bit of it is usually fine, it's just the comedy bit is all.Let's get going with the reading and reviewing now shall we?Oooh! That first chapter was a goodie! It's definitely a teen novel, set in America, so there may be things that I haven't got a clue about, but my heart is already giving me warm squishies after only the first chapter, which is great going!Wait, what? 9 years later? How old are these characters supposed to be? Is it a teen or grown up novel? The second chapter is raising a small smile already which takes something extra special to achieve!Oh yes, this is definitely my kinda book! I'm smiling as I read it without thinking about it! The comedy is gentle and spot-on so far!I was wrong to doubt the comedy bit of the RomCom at the start of this book and the review... I'm still smiling and the stress is noticably less on my shoulders. At 14% this is still a very much 5 star book.I'm at 31% and still smiling! Am I about to head into the Rom bit of the RomCom too?I'm now at 40% and my heart is overflowing with warm squishies again... could Briosh be a real thing before the end of the book??Oh. My. Goddess. It's very nearly what I was hoping for and I've even got a bit of a happy tear threatening to overflow, but I'm gonna leave that until tomorrow 'cos it's almost my bedtime lol. I'm at 52% and I've loved every word so far!Another awesome chapter to start the day off with... things are hotting up for #Briosh and they are taking me along with them, every single gorgeous step of the way.Up to 57% now and the squishies have been activated again lol69% now and I'm feeling a huuuge sense of relief about what's just happened... no spoilers, don't worry, just relief that it's finally happened.Oh. My. Goddess. What a perfect last chapter and the epilogue was the perfect ending.I was wrong at the start of this review and I'm sorry for my mistake... this is definitely a grown up novel and you'll definitely need a good supply of tissues! Especially if, like me, you just don't usually cry at anything, let alone books!

Review: This was such a sweet, cosy and feel good read, I loved the characters, chemistry and swoony moments.Brie and Josh have been teasing each other for years with their love hate relationship, but it's always been innocent banter, right? No possible feelings there especially as Brie is his sister's best friend, he's just protective. But when some drama with Josh's football career merges with local gossip from a mistaken kiss, it spirals into a fake dating scheme the locals are eating up #brioshWith everyone loving their couple goals, and the local Tea Time gossip adding fuel to the fire, they soon get swept away in the romance too.Clean slow burn friends to lovers romance, great banter, and a HEA.
